I had been planning to come visit and was super excited. The woman working that day was super helpful in bringing clothes to the fitting room for me and finding sizes as well. Huge selection from cardigans to dresses. The more goth side of the store was pretty small unfortunately but I still found some things to take home. Downsides are they are no returns or exchanges so I felt very unsure about making a purchase and I do regret buying a dress because I changed my mind but I'm stuck with a very specific style of dress now. The items are not cheap either so it's definitely something to consider while shopping here. The quality of the clothing is great which helped justify pricing. They also lacked ranges of size on many items. Maybe I caught them at a bad time as far as stocking the racks but I was disappointed many things just didn't have my size and there were only a few of one item left. Beautiful pieces and hope to come back with tons of time on my hands to be sure I want something. read more

My dream aesthetic is Rockabilly. I know I don't have the body, or even the personality, to be a pinup girl, but I do love the fashion and make up. Broadway Pinups sits next to Cheever Books, and they offer a small, but cute, selection of dresses, skirts, tops, swimsuits, and accessories with a vintage feel. They promote size inclusiveness by carrying a large variety of sizes, even going up to 2XL if I recall correctly. Staff mostly keeps to themselves, but if you ask for help, you will get it. I've spoken about the cosmetics they carry at length, because I am obsessed with the Besame Cosmetics line, AND it's the only store in San Antonio that carries it. (Sephora, shame on you.) I have yet to make a clothing purchase at Broadway Pinups, but when I have a bit of extra cashflow in I very much do plan on buying a dress, skirt, or a Besame lipstick color I'm missing. (Besame Red, Merlot, or Chocolate Kiss, I'm coming for you!!) I've bought one of the Besame blushes/rouges here and it's so pigmented and lovely. And it saves on shipping. read more

Traveled down from Austin and visited after following the shop on social media for awhile now. OMG! So cute! I loved everything... the clothes were gorgeous and they had some cute plus size options (mixed in with the straight sizes, so it creates a nice, inclusive browsing experience). The shop is decorated and laid out really cute and fun, too. I wanted to buy everything I saw. Left with a few things at reasonable prices and was sad to leave the rest behind. Best thing about the store, though, were the awesome ladies working there. I hobbled in on blistered feet from a new pair of shoes and they rescued me with a pair of socks and some bandaids. This is my FAVORITE store in SA! They have a wonderful selection of retro/vintage styles and sizes. Great customer service, always helpful in person and quick to reply via phone, text, or fb messenger. They are also wonderful to work with if you have vintage style clothes you want to sell in consignment. They also feature wonderful local brands that are adorable. I'm so disappointed. I'm from South Texas and was so happy to finally travel to San Antonio and get to visit the closest pinup store to me. I have been following them on Instagram for quite some time and was pretty excited. The outside looked so cute! And through the windows I could see that I would love it. But upon walking in and looking around for a while, none of the 3 associates ever approached me, greeted me or my daughters. I was in the store about 20 minutes or more. I felt unwelcome, or maybe it was just ignored. Either way I will probably never come back for how uncomfortable I was made to feel. I'm from out of town but whenever I make the journey to San Antonio (once or twice a year), Broadway PinUp is always number 1 on the agenda when I get there. The staff is always friendly and inviting but not pushy or smothering. Always something fun to try on and look at, and it's one of the few stores I feel comfortable trying on clothes in anymore (I've never been made to feel uncomfortable when trying on clothes here and never rushed). I always come out with the coolest stuff and have never regretted a purchase, even the impulse purchase of one of their Halloween bags last fall, haha. read more

I'm guilty of trying to replicate the good old fashioned pinup look but found myself lost in where to shop for such dated items, Broadway Pinups has exactly what you're looking for! This little specialty store is absolutely my favorite. The owner is such a doll- she's always extra friendly and willing to help- even when I walk in with a sleeping toddler on my shoulder. She has no qualms about me setting down the kiddo on a couch while I try on my pinup pieces. She's great about keeping up with her social media. The boutique always looks clean and kitschy- honestly it's just a really fun place to shop. One of my favorite pinup stores to stop at. Owner is so friendly and helpful. They have a great selection and an assortment of sizes. I came here a week ago with the intentions of just looking around because I love the aesthetic it carries. As we walked in one of the ladies asked us if we were looking for something in particular and I said a prom dress because nothing fits me in regular stores. Right away she picked out a dress !! Both ladies were so polite and helped my mother and I pick out the perfect dress for my prom !! I loved how they gave us advice on how to style the dress and I loved how they didn't follow us around the store as if we were to steal something like in other stores. I LOVE this place!!! I always loved the vintage styles from my Grandmother's era, and this is the jackpot! They have everything you could wish for! I love this place not only for the charm, but for the excellent customer service they provide. They are not pushy, and the quality of the clothing is amazing!
