FAKE FLUMS! Bought two from this store. One quit after a few hours, so I brought it back and they gave me a new one. Same problem, and again with the third. A Google search suggested they were FAKE, and I was quickly able to determine that they were COUNTERFEIT. There is a FAKE FLUM website and code on the package. I called the store to let the salesperson know. She said they would refund my money and the owner would call me. He didn't. I went in the next day for the refund but a different staff member was working and knew nothing of the issue. The FAKE FLUMS were still on display/for sale. The employee reached the owner by phone to speak with me. He would not acknowledge the COUNTERFEITS, the VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE, nor agree to a refund. He said I could dispute the charges through my bank (AGAINST THE LAW TO DENY A REFUND FOR COUNTERFEIT PURCHASES) and to leave the store- that I was now trespassing. Visiting Denver from the east coast, and I was looking for a place to pick up some equipment from at a decent price to use for the week. Broadway Smoke Shop was down the street from me, and I thought I'd check it out. The selection is almost entirely marked up Chinese glass. The cheapest piece they had was a POS nectar collector for 45 bucks. Their torch selection is also subpar as well. They sell your average Newport torch (that you can pick up for 25-30) for 50 bucks!! Not to mention the customer service is lackluster, and not customer focused whatsoever. If you're looking for a better place to shop for cheap, but reliable cannabis gear, check out 710pipes. They have a selection of both Chinese and American blown glass at really great prices. I was able to get a whole setup, quartz banger included, for 40 bucks. 5 bucks cheaper than this place, and the equipment will work much better. read more

Drove by on Saturday around 10am and saw the OPEN sign in the window flashing, so I parked and walked back to the door only to see that they didn't open until 11am. Ok, so I wandered to a bookstore down the street and came back around 11:10am. The shop was still closed and there was another potential customer standing outside. He said he had just called the owner, who said he was currently on 1st and would be there in a minute. As we waited outside, 2 more people came and joined the rest of us getting steadily more annoyed. At 11:28, we finally left, and so had all but 1 of the other people waiting. Came in for the first time because Ilizuons door was locked at 11:30. I was looking for 420 cleaner that the young lady immediately found for me and welcomed me to the shop for the first time. She gave me two bottles of cleaner for $15 which I thought was an incredible deal. They have lots of selection for how small the shop is, from small spoon pipes to extravagant water pipes. I meant to update my review months ago. Immediately after posting my review (within 24 hours) Brendan, who is the owner contacted me and he was the same in his written response as he is in person. He treats you with kindness and respect and he doesn't dodge responsibility for his store or his employees, he won me back with his sincerity and he offered accommodations for parking to make my visits a little easier due to my disability which is based in both legs. No, I never have taken him up offer to park in a spot that I think is for the employees. I'm not going to have an employee move their car. I've left 3 messages for the Owner, Brenden and I don't know if he's gotten them because they were left on store's voice mail. He has not called. I don't think he has heard the messages. This place was my favorite, and Brenden has helped me a few times and he is great. The problem is there is a newish employee and she doesn't realize that having the store open during business hours is actually what she is paid for. My first experience with her was an afternoon visit, due to the construction, I had to park several blocks away. I did so and when I got to the shop there was a note on the door saying "Back in ten minutes". I'm disabled, walking is painful, and so is standing, I decided to wait. During this time at least 5 other people came to the store were frustrated that it was closed and they left. She did not return until I had been there 30 minutes. No apology, she just bitching about the first 2 Starbucks were out of whatever she wanted and she had to go a third. Oh I get it, It's frustrating when you go to business and they don't have what you want. Or they are not open during business hours. Next encounter, it's 10 minutes before 11 and I realize I have to go now to get there. On my way I call and it goes to voice mail. I get there and she's inside it's 10:55. She says we're closed and then disappears to the back. Now this is not how other employees have ever treated me. They have been fantastic for some reason this girl is getting away with ruining the store's reputation and she seems to be getting lots of hours. I called the next morning trying again to reach Brenden and she answered, so surely my voice mails to him were erased. She claimed a medical emergency, I'm glad that it was taken care of overnight. If she continues to be so awful to customers and close whenever she wants, I don't know how this store will survive with the construction element taking away the immediate parking spots as another challenge to the business. I made a yelp account only to review this specific place. Really try to avoid this place at all costs if you don't want to support such a dishonest business. To make a long story short they sold me a fake "pax" vaporizer that I paid $200 for. After politely (seriously, I wasn't being difficult in the least bit) stating the facts about how I was sold a counterfeit item and simply wanted my $200 back both the owner and employee treated me in such a rude way that it was jaw dropping. After all the lying and mistreatment I experienced with those two lovely individuals I decided I would take it up with my credit card company and the manufacturers of the REAL product. The real company confirmed that what I bought from Broadway Smoke Shop was, indeed, a counterfeit item and that the shop was also not an authorized seller of the product. With the manufacturers help I was able to provide my credit card company with solid proof that I was ripped off by this store, and granted me my money back. If you go further north up South Broadway there are way better options that are honest run businesses.
