I would consider exploring other options…read more Upon having our transmission rebuilt and rear main seal replaced by Gears we had an immediate oil leak from rear main seal (approximately 1 quart every 2 hours). Gears Transmission indicated they were not obligated to warranty rear main seal leak (in which they replaced). After 4 weeks of constant calls, broken promises to remedy, paying for repairs out of my pocket and pursuing legal action for reimbursement I finally received reimbursement for warranty work. To make matters worse, a broken bolt was discovered from seal install, meaning they broke a bolt and attempted to hide during installation. In addition, a loose bolt in transmission bell housing was also found. During transmission repair and warranty claim, Gears was horrible about providing updates; they only called/ returned our calls two times over this 9-week process. Granted, we travelled cross country day after receiving truck with rebuilt transmission and Gears had to use another shop to perform warranty repairs; however we had to take truck to 2 different shops of their choice so they could obtain multiple quotes and we ended up paying for repairs out of pocket after they reneged on paying their bill to vendor of their choice. Only after beginning legal proceedings did I receive reimbursement for main seal replacement.

After picking the truck up the third time, it broke down due to overheating. Had it towed where it sat momentarily and the transmission still leaked. I had to make the decision to accept a loss due to not wanting to take the truck for a 4th time and having additional issues once I received the vehicle. I had to take the truck into another shop to diagnose and fix. BEWARE To the shop owner that replied: Please read the review of its entirety! You had (3) attempts! And you couldn't get it right. So miraculously my truck started overhearing after pick up which cracked the heads and the truck went down for a while. Needless to say, I would never recommend this company after all the issues you have given my son and I. Record keeping: it's not my responsibility to keep up with this but my American Express shows the deduction date August 2nd 2025 of $2622 for the rebuild. I suppose it's easier for you to deny if you don't have record. Only reason I waited this long is because the extent of damage caused by the overheating made me replace the entire engine. As a Veteran to others take this warning and be careful when you do business with this company despite the other reviews. The message from the business owner Christian is a copy and paste response. So professional. Even though I spoke to him and his wife or receptionist when the complications were going on. He even towed it from my house. Funny how Christian forgets!

Have been taking my vehicles to BR Oil Change for 2+ years, but won't be going back. They have made…read moreseveral errors, one costing me $800 to fix. First incident was summer of '23. While traveling on a road trip we needed an oil change in KY. It took them 20 minutes to get the oil filter off, they said it was over-torqued. Next up, took the SUV in and during the oil change, they over-filled the engine and it poured out all over the engine compartment. They apologised and wiped up around the engine. But on the next scheduled change they said the engine pan, front and rear seals were leaking, and sold me a quart of stop-leak. But then later I thought it could just be oil that didn't get wiped up from when they spilled it the time before. Anyway, checked the SUV oil consumption, sure enough it was leaking or burning off 1 quart every 200 miles. Took it in to my mechanic and they found the leak at the valve covers. My mechanic is very good, he says it's possible the overfill caused the leak due to high pressure if overfilled. Took my repair bill back to BROC and they said they never would have let my SUV out of the shop over-filled and denied me any compensation, not even a free change. So, "nothing they can do"! 'Bye bye, Blue Ridge Oil Change'!

They were friendly, got them in on the day promised, and installed them promptly, even though they were closing early on that day. Time will tell on the tires and their longevity, but they were quiet on the highway and look great. Honestly, after saving about $800 from the brands I've been looking at, they could fall 25% short, and I'd still be ahead of the game if the turn out to be good otherwise.
