Brodericks flowers are the best! They did a beautiful job at my daughters backyard wedding during CoVid and then with my daughters Bridal Shower and my other daughters baby shower. They are talented, kind and professional. We had to reschedule my daughters big wedding because of CoVid and then cancel because of my husband's unanticipated death (due to brain cancer). Although Brodericks was also affected by CoVid they were more than willing to give us back all our money but instead we used the credit. They are the REAL deal. We knew immediately that Broderick's would be the place to supply the flowers for our wedding - they really paid attention to the level of detail and they were very patient with us. They gave us beautiful winter-themed center pieces, a beautiful set up for our sweetheart table, and designed the ceremony room to our liking with their expert recommendations. The bridesmaids and mothers had very beautiful flowers and corsages, and the groomsmen, father and I had classy looking boutonnieres. Everything came out looking gorgeous throughout the night. The staff that assembled and took down the flowers were very caring - they wanted to make sure that no one other than the bride and groom saw the arrangement in the reception room before anyone else. They worked very well with both the venue staff and the photographer. They even stuck around with us after the wedding to make sure we were completely satisfied with everything! They also supplied us with a birdcage that we could use for the wedding gifts! So with that said, I highly, highly highly recommend Broderick's for event floral arrangements. They will take care of you and make sure you are 100% satisfied! Make sure you speak to John (the owner) when you're looking for a consultation. He is the best in my opinion! I had no idea what we were looking for, so she told me to go on their website and look at options. I am so disappointed with Broderick's. I ordered balloons for my 15 yr old sons birthday through 1800balloons. Broderick's filled the order and rather then Sending balloons as per the order (for a boy) or (gender neutral) they sent floral birthday balloons. The worst part is the lack of customer service and lack of kindness with the workers at Broderick's. They could care less. Save your money and go somewhere else. No customer service. Went there to order flowers for my fathers wake. Buzzer sounded as I walked in the store but no one came to the counter until a minute later. The man asked what I wanted and told him I needed flowers for a wake. He put a book on the counter and said look thru the book and pick something and walked away. TRULY A DREAM COME TRUE. I was a very meticulous and micro-manage-y bride with VERY specific ideas on how I wanted the look and feel of my wedding. A friend of mine had used Brodericks for their wedding and I had loved their flowers. It was not easy planning and coordinating - especially since we were planning our NJ wedding from California! But, Amanda was very responsive and receptive to our (well my) thoughts and ideas - even after multiple flower changes! If I could give Brodericks Flowers a minus, I would. This retail store has been in Bergenfield for many, many years. I went there to order casket flowers for my mother's wake. At the funeral home, a relative took me aside to prepare me in advance for what Brodericks delivered. Just a lot of dead, weed looking plants to place on the casket that were not the arrangement I ordered. When I called Broderick's from the funeral home, the owner said they would "replace" what they brought with something else, but I would have to shut down the wake. Broderick's put the blame on me for not stopping my mother's wake and said that, in this case, I must have found the flowers acceptable, so pay up. The fact that my family had used this florist for decades meant nothing. For the owner, it was all about the money. Needless to say, they will never see me again. read more
