She was fair in her pricing, a joy to deal with and showed up with the prettiest flower crown you could ever see! Fresh and luxe flowers. She and her partner worked fast and made sure nearly 30 or so women had crowns. I truly felt like they were friends of the family because they cared so much and were so excited to bar part of our event. You'd be nuts not to hire Denise. We worked with Denise for all our flower needs for our wedding in October 2019. She was very responsive and very easy to work with. Denise did the flowers for our Brooklyn wedding last week and we could not have been happier. We spoke with three different florists at the start but I gravitated to her immediately. We spoke on the phone, she totally got it, had some great ideas and suggestions, and worked within our budget. It was a very easy decision to go with her and I knew we were in good hands. Denise did the flowers for our wedding in October, as well as for my Bridal shower in August. To say she did an amazing job would be an understatement, she literally made our day! Denise worked closely with us on every detail, above and beyond the flowers, and table-scape. When we were trying to find chandeliers, she worked with us to find a vendor and worked with them to install etc. When we were struggling to finish our seating board, because we had to fly to France the week before our wedding (long story), Denise jumped in and made it for us telling us not to stress about little things before the wedding. Then there were the flowers. The bouquets were each different, and each one was stunning. The seasonal details she out into the each were so beautiful. She completely captured my vision, and even went beyond adding things in that I would not have thought about. Denise did an unbelievable job for my wedding! The flower arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, and huppah came out absolutely beautiful! She really took my vision and made my dreams come true! Her team were so flexible that they even took the arch apart and put everything back together 20 minutes before the wedding to move it inside a tent as it was starting to rain. Everyone at my wedding was just blown away by the STUNNING flowers and candles. Denise is warm, responsive, and extremely easy to work with. Flowers are a notoriously expensive wedding item but Denise managed to create the lush, organic arrangements we wanted (even with peonies!) without being outrageously priced. She invited me to shop the flower market in NYC with her a couple of weeks before the big day to browse the types of flowers and colors that were in season which was fun and helpful. She was always accessible and helpful at the planning stage, with a site visit and discussion with the venue manager, followed by a visit to the flower market. Her advice regarding what floral arrangements to create for the various locations within the venue were experienced, tasteful, and simply first rate. I placed a rather small order for our city hall weddign with Denise. After initially agreeing to do it, she then disappeared for a week. When I finally reached her over the phone - she reconfirmed that everythign is on only to abruptly cancel 5 days later. I wouldn't wish it upon anybody to be stranded with no flowers 2 weeks before the weddign after you turned down all the other floristst. Perhaps she is better at fulfillign larger orders, but her work ethic is questionable to say the least. To add to the fire - she has been disputing all the reviews I am leaving of her, even though I warned her that I was going to do that in response to her cancellation. I am Aleks fiancé (the review above) and can confirm that Denise agreed to do our flowers, then abruptly changed her mind two weeks before the wedding. Ours may be only a small wedding, but it is OUR wedding day nevertheless, and we wanted the flowers to be perfect. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. To then get bad reviews removed because no transaction took place is a joke. The reason no transaction took place is because Denise changed her mind. A wedding is a stressful experience, no matter the size, and this kind of unprofessional attitude is the last thing I would ever want to deal with again, and would warn any other couples from using her. As a wedding planner in Brooklyn, I've worked with Denise multiple times on weddings with different couples, different budgets, and at different places. Working with Denise has always been a fantastic experience for me. She replies to emails right away, is fair with her pricing, is upfront and realistic when answering questions, and is all-around a great vendor. I've never had any problems with tardiness or canceled orders and am surprised by some of the negative reviews here. I suppose everything must be taken with a grain of salt, yes? I liked her designs and ideas but she could not fulfill my order because it was "too small" because I was not going to order centerpieces. Unfortunately she did not tell me this until one week after our meeting. Fortunately, I had not made a deposit and had another florist as backup who is a retail florist and keeps flowers in their shop every day. Denise is a special events designer more than a florist. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a truly big involved design job or for corporate events or holiday parties, as I'm sure she is perfect for those bigger venues. I found Denise at the recommendation of another florist with a similar aesthetic who was not available for my wedding day. I met with Denise and another florist in Brooklyn, and I was admittedly torn. I liked both for different reasons. At the end of the day, I went with my gut, Denise, and boy, am I happy I did. OUR WEDDING WAS GORGEOUS. I met with Denise on a Friday evening (is she super accommodating? YES!) at her studio. I felt like we were on the same page from the start - we were literally jumping up and down with ideas for decor, flowers and etc... Now, like any other bride and groom, my fiance and I were on a fairly strict budget. In fact, originally, I had planned to do some of the centerpieces myself. Denise worked with me and we came up with a beautiful and reasonable solution and it turned out that we could afford to have her do our personal flowers (bouquets and boutonnieres) AS WELL AS our centerpieces (21 arrangements) all within our budget. Denise and I were in touch and had a plan. She put together an idea board of colors and flowers that let me know exactly what we would be getting. (The other florist merely suggested vague descriptions along the lines of, well, you know, you'll have a bouquet). Not only did Denise deliver everything to our venue, she even made sure the rest of the decor (table runners, additional votive candles and etc...) all made it where they needed to be. We walked in to our venue and I literally gasped. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. Just as I had pictured. Better, in fact. The colors and flowers Denise had selected were the PERFECT combination of fun, flirty elegance. My bouquet was so incredibly exquisite, hot pink peonies with other beautiful buds and tied with an ivory ribbon and my grandmother's bracelet, which i had given to Denise a week before the wedding. (Trust? Absolutely.) Every single person at our wedding commented on how lovely the flowers were, and my husband even liked his pink boutonniere. Seriously, look no farther. Working with Denise was a dream and we cannot recommend her enough! Flowers were definitely one of our top priorities when it came to décor. My husband and I got married on a rooftop terrace and wanted to create an enchanted garden feel for our fall wedding. We gave Denise an idea of what look we were going for, at which point she invited us to her office to review a mood board that she put together. After many conversations and a visit to the flower market (how fun?!), we finalized the look together and she brought it to life. My husband and I couldn't believe how incredible the space looked when she was done with it - everything we dreamed up and more. Another thing that I have to mention - my dress was unique in that it was pretty extravagant with a lot of beading detail, but still very soft.
