It is hard to find words to adequately describe how incredible Brogen's work is. She photographed my engagement session and multi-day, multi-hundred attendee indian wedding and her work exceeded my wildest dreams (and I already had high expectations from viewing her portfolio). For each event I was going for a different, very particular aesthetic ( one event was traditional / the next was modern vogue / reception was hollywood glamour / etc etc.) and she was absolutely meticulous in her approach to capturing it. To make it even more challenging I also told her that I was hoping for incredible portrait-style photos of each of my guests and she absolutely delivered. Brogen really sets herself apart from so many other photographers because she schedules lots of calls before your event and she listens carefully to exactly what you are hoping for and she is able to tweak her style to give you just that. She is incredibly thoughtful and empathetic to her subjects and if you tell her "I don't like X or Y part of my body" she is amazing at helping you pose to deliver photos that show your most beautiful self. Incredible. This review is written from the perspective of a groom who was slightly uncomfortable & anxious utilizing our budget to provide for a quality photographer. However, my fiancee's insistence ultimately led us to discover & book B. Jessup for our wedding. In particular, Ashley & I were looking for a photographer that provided non - traditional stylistic photos that could be framed in our future home. Brogen stands out as an excellent wedding photographer due to her unique style & professionalism in the field. Her photos exceeded our expectation. The way she frames & edits the photos gives it a timeless effect. I have already blown three photos on canvas (24 x 36) to be displayed at the wedding. More importantly, Brogen has a sense of business professionalism which I find to be exceedingly unique as we plan our wedding & work with other (underwhelming) vendors. Ms. Jessup would reply to any nuanced question within a short amount of time. Not only did she help stylize the clothes for the engagement shoot but she also spent time planning our wedding schedule. I found Brogen through another Navy wife as she had done pictures for her homecoming as well, and I loved them so much that I had to reach out. First of all, let me just assure you that if you are reading this because you are debating whether or not to hire Brogen for your wedding or event....I can promise you that you will not regret working with her! I work in the film business and the photo/video world myself, so I knew that having a photographer who not only had a great eye for composition and editing, but also was easy to work with was #1 on my wedding list. I found Brogen on Yelp and then started following her Instagram. I love her photography style so when I got engaged a few months ago I knew I wanted to book her for a shoot. She is professional and easy to work with and responded quickly to all of my emails. My fiance and I did our engagement session in La Jolla. We ended up not getting a sunset that day so towards the end of our shoot, Brogen suggested we go across the street for some pictures at another location she had spotted earlier.
