When I purchased my house it had Renewal by Andersen Windows. One broke and the replacement…read moreprocess was quite difficult. For some reason I require 1 window that was never replaced. The sill is rotten, time to go. I also figure why not replace a few doors at same time. I tried to reach the Kennebunkport/Portland location where my windows came from. It is somewhere between 100% and 1000% impossible to reach them to discuss in a normal manner. Ie can I send you a photo of window and approximate dimensions so we can discuss budget? Nope- the local 207 number goes to a data center that wants to collect all our information before an "IN HOME CONSULTATION". Knowing a sales pitch similar to a used car salesman I declined. So my house will be full of Renewal by Andersen, except for 1 window. I dont care if I put a piece of plywood over it. I won't deal with them anymore. I hate to write this review because Steve almost crossed the finish line at our home. He had…read morealready replaced 25ish windows over the course of a few years. He had 5 to go...on April 9, 2021 I sent him an $1800 deposit for the last 5 windows. In September 2021 nothing...we get that there were supply chain delay issues due to Covid. We reached out a few times with no response and actually worried something had happened to him but then figured someone would have contacted us...I sent a message via Venmo and he texted my husband and said 'a few weeks' ....nothing. I called Harvey and learned an order was never placed for the last 5 windows. $1800 was a significant enough amount of money for me to start emailing, calling, texting on the regular. Yesterday (6/21/22) I had some time to think about this. I sent my weekly text and realized it didn't say delivered like in the past. BLOCKED. I called Harvey again for help and learned contractors are being managed by a different firm. I couldn't find a phone number for them but emailed them and cc'd Steve. I also had 12 friends and family text him with the same note I had been sending him weekly for months Hey Steve - it's MJ O'Connor (address) -I've been messaging you about the $1800 deposit I sent you over a year ago for the last few replacement windows. At this point we would just like our $1800 back through Venmo - if you have any questions please call or text me here or call Jimmy at xxx-xxx-xxx - thanks I also included that I would be filing a police report in the morning if the $1800 was refunded immediately. Within a few hours I was finally refunded the $1800 (with no interest) What a shame...Steve, you were almost there with us and if you had been a stand up guy and honest I would have given you a 5 star review.
