BOTH arms were in casts wrist to shoulder and my left knee (hematoma) and foot were broken. And that was just the physical state I was in, my mental state was bruised as well. To say that the staff put me back together is an understatement. The PT's, OT's, Doctors, nurses, volunteers, housekeeping, and food services staff are incredible. They work on individual plans catered to your personal rehabilitation and review those daily. They CARE and it shows. It's not just a job, they are determined and rooting for you. The nursing staff is very inattentive and her calls very rarely get answered. They leave her sitting in the chair for hours on end and do not check on her. I do not recommend this place at all for a loved one's recovery. I just got back from helping her go to bed for the evening and found out she had wet herself three times because she couldn't get anyone to come help her. I demanded to talk to the head of nursing to get the situation resolved and was told they would get back to me after the weekend was over. Not acceptable. No concern for the patients and no caring for them at all. This place should be avoided at all costs.

It is true that (especially during meal time when the health care aids add feeding people to their already busy schedules) they can seem short staffed. Really, a person with dementia who is a fall risk probably needs to have someone with them 24/7. What facility could possibly offer that to every patient? Even when the bed alarm is "on" there is too little time between the warning and the fall for a nurse to prevent the fall in most cases, sadly. Our solution has been to have a family member with dad 24/7. I can't imagine the facility is thrilled with that (we try not to be a pain, but probably are anyway). They have been unfailingly kind and considerate to all of us and I can't say enough good things about how kind and respectful they are to my dad notwithstanding his limitations. I did not meet one single staff member while I was there who was anything less than kind and considerate. My whole family has also been impressed by the rehab staff (speech, occupational and physical therapy). Despite my dad's age and lack of short term memory he is making progress thanks to their efforts and the efforts of their predecessors at the hospital. A special thank you to "tattoo man" (sorry, I can't recall his name but he mentioned that another patient with dementia calls him by that name). He has such a nice personality that I think my dad actually looks forward to his next visit and will remember him. Amazing! The actual facility is clean and cheerful. No rehab facility can be perfect but my family and I are very grateful to this one for the care they are providing my dad.

The food is absolutely horrific. 95% of the time served cold and that's when you actually get the food that you ordered. They are often out of menu items that were ordered for your meal the night before. The establishment ran out of dairy products for two weeks. I ask you how do you run out of dairy? Unacceptable . They also ran out of soda and chips for over a week. Something that the residents look forward to. There is a juice machine in the common area that is cut off between meals so residents cannot go and freely help themselves. I was told it was a way to save money. They also ran out of Metamucil for a few days. How and why? Upon my transfer, the wrong home address was incorrectly, entered into my paperwork. The dosage for a prescription I've been taking for years was incorrect. I had been receiving an incorrect amount for my months long stay!! Rooms are supposed to be cleaned every day-- they are not. During my rehab my room was cleaned a total of three times. The laundry service was terrible and nonexistent. The only thing the administration is good for is GASLIGHTING!! I've never experienced anything like it! Concerning my care I was continually given false information and led to believe things, that in reality, were never going to happen. I only met my assigned Dr once. I often heard the director of nursing yelling at the CNA's! The CNAs work the hardest. They are all caring and doing the best job possible given their current situation. The nursing staff and events coordinator are caring as well. The CNAs are expected to serve all meals to all patients which in turn takes away from the care of the residents!! OVERWORKED!! Needless to say it's nothing but a toxic environment at Stratford Commons. I only had a one month rehab stay . What about the people that call Stratford Commons "home?" I am worried about them. I would advise staying away from all to Tutera run/owned rehab and living facilities!!

Now I needed Vancomycin as a twice daily IV. The nursing staff is excellent. Also, the physical therapy team reached out to my orthopedic surgeon to understand his goals for me so they could create a PT plan. Very proactive. Overall, the staff at Ignite have done a good job with my care. A couple of other points: 1. The kitchen prepares that I would rank as Very good to Excellent for the medical world. They will work with dietary needs and preferences. 2. There is a Starbucks kiosk in the lobby. Great for visitors . . . and as an old barista from the 90s, I appreciate it being available.

There is no end to the problems this place is having they told the resident's they can't sit out front now they can't go in the back either cause of the wild animals they are dangerous could bite one of them, Don't know what the problem is but been asking for a long time to prepare and clean the porch off always some kind of excuses you really need to have a supervisor on night shift that night shift is not worth anything they lie steal and don't take care of the resident's like they are suppose to.
