Financial plans and options are made available and you truly understand not only the cost but the cost benefit... every step of the way. Nothing is hidden, disguised or short-changed. And the highest quality of care is just her standard. What you are hoping for, as well as the reality of achieving this end result with realistic timing of outcomes, are explained clearly and expertly. Even more importantly, your child will be heard, attended to, motivated, supported and ultimately successful at Katie Klein. It is all the somewhat invisible intangibles.... A beyond accommodating front desk staff, frequent appointment reminders and yet no guilt or shame inducing practices when appointments are accidentally forgotten or simply missed due to a myriad of circumstances. I began treatment with a different orthodontist in the winter of 2019. As my treatment progressed, I was starting to feel as though the other orthodontist wasn't getting me the result I wanted, and during the time I formed a trusting relationship with Dr. Lisann. I knew the kind of work Dr. Lisann did, and how she treated her patients, and I decided I must switch to her to get the personalized patient experience I needed. Boy did that decision pay off!! I started with Beacon Orthodontic Associates in September 2020, and thought I would need 12-18 months to correct the issues I had. Here we are today, May 2021, and I am already done! Dr. Lisann is a wizard with the Invisalign treatment planning, as well as the artistic touches to the contours of my teeth, and I am incredibly happy with my new smile! The experience I had coming into the office with Becky, Dr. Lisann, and others, especially during a pandemic, made me feel safe, comfortable, and known. I cannot recommend Dr. Lisann highly enough!

The initial woman who came in to take my daughter in (who is 9 and was a little nervous) barked at her to use hand sanitizer and when I asked if I should come in with her, said abruptly to me, "No!"  I was a bit off put by this but thought it must be a one-off thing. I had a question and spoke to the woman at the front desk. Not only did she not listen to me, she kept interrupting me, raising her voice and misunderstanding what I was asking. Her tone was condescending and rude. This did not bode well, especially if we had to come to this office repeatedly for orthodontic appts. We then went into see Dr. Lisann. She at least was professional, though she did not have a warm and friendly manner with us either.  At this point I was pretty upset and wanted to get out of there--I forgot that we had to go back to the desk to pay for the appt and as we were leaving the front desk woman said, "EXCUSE ME, YOU HAVE TO PAY!!" I was totally taken aback. I am someone who is very conscientious about all payments--it was just that I was upset. The kids kept repeating what she said all the way home. I was very upset after that consult.  I have never been treated in such a rude and unprofessional manner as I was at Beacon Orthodontic. Given her stellar reviews for the most part, I had expected to use Dr. Lisann  for not only my daughter, but also my other daughter and myself as well.  Unfortunately she just lost 3 potential  patients. Unless she works with her staff to make a more welcoming atmosphere, I expect we won't be the only ones.

I've been going to Brookline Dental for 6 years, but they've changed for the worse in the last two…read moreyears. 1. The dentists are all in a rush and don't listen to patient concerns. I'd been complaining about a pain in my tooth the last 4 visits which they ignored and blamed on my brushing, but when I pressed the issue they discovered I had a broken filling. The dentist who finally looked at it said my concerns were never put in my chart. 2. It feels like you're constantly trying to be upsold unnecessary things like teeth whitening and other cosmetic stuff. In my last two appointments all of a sudden they wanted to recommend additional cleanings, and even though I denied they've started sending me texts every three months to schedule a cleaning. 3. In my last appointment they quoted me for a huge bill, and when I investigated further it was because they said they were going to make me a retainer which was never discussed and I never asked for. 4. To top it off they've made the unfortunate decision to incorporate an AI assistant. I think some of the dentists there do a fine job but overall it's changed completely since I started going there and will unfortunately not be going back.

Who in their right mind would choose to pay more if they didn't have to? It was illogical, misleading, and honestly felt like a trap in their system. The front desk tried to claim they "called me to double check" because I booked online, but I never received a call. Either they didn't call, or they're not verifying numbers correctly so they definitely are not organized. I walked in expecting a normal dental visit covered by my insurance. I walked out with an unexpected bill. Update: They said they would call me back to let me know the updated bill with the insurance, but never did. It is a shame because their office workers all seem nice, and their presence really shapes the initial and final dentist experience.

When I booked and arrived at my appointment for my extraction (7/2/26), I was given informed consent paperwork at the front desk by NON-MEDICAL personnel. I thought this to be wildly unprofessional especially since they couldn't explain anything. Once again, I just signed anyways and went in. The hygienist prepping me could not explain the procedure well either and kept double-checking he had everything. He was super unsure of himself which gave the impression he was inexperienced making me much more nervous. When I left, the staff once again just shoved paperwork in my face, asked me for money while I'm still bleeding profusely minutes after my procedure and just send me home. I try to book a follow up and no one answers to book until 6 days after my procedure (today: 7/8/26) where they obviously now cannot get me in this week.
