I wouldn't recommend Brooklyn Dance Academy to a friend. My daughter was enrolled in the 2 year old Saturday morning class at 10a. I wouldn't recommend BDA for the following reasons: 1. The kids practice the same exact thing every weekend, same songs, same dances, with no variety at all. I would expect some sort of lesson plan that repeats every 2/4 weeks or something of the sort. After some time my daughter was no longer engaged in the classes and didn't even want to go to dance class because it wasn't exciting or engaging. 2. For months the classes would start 5/10 minutes late and end 5 minutes early. This was quite frustrating considering it was only a 30 minute class. I spoke to the owner about this issue and classes started to last 25 minutes instead. However, I would expect this to be the standard, not something that's only corrected with complaint. 3. Classes are canceled on short notice, today with less than an hour notice to class start time (and rather frequently). Yes a make up class is allowed mid week but some of us can't make class during weekdays. 4. Myself and a few other people arrived 15 minutes early for their first class only for no one to be at the front desk to help. I personally spoke with the owner the week of my daughter's first class and she said she would be in to help with the process. She was no where to be found and parents were calling the owner to figure out how to help onboard us. No hard feelings here, I just expect more professionalism and will continue elsewhere if my daughter would like to participate in dance again. read more

Best dance school great experience, the teachers are great they really care for there students.

Yelp says 5 stars is "great" but my opinion of BDA is more like expectational! My daughter has been dancing there for the past five years and has made great bonds with the girls on her team and with the owner herself. The studio has become a second home to us. The staff, dancers and all the parents feel like family. Jessica (the owner) sets such a positive vibe with everyone. My daughter loves the studio so much. It is such a joy to see how much fun she and the other dancers are having and how much they all have grown. I can't recommend this studio enough! read more

This is my daughters second month here and so far we like it, the tumbling class is pretty cool because it mixes hip-hop with tumbling, which is nice for young girls. Pros are that it's actually taught by one instructor who seems experienced, the facility is clean. I also like that the classes do end on time. The cons are - the lack of diversity amongst the students (but coming from LA, you'll notice that's kind of a theme in Corona haha). Also the air inside the hip-hop tumbling class is wonky, so it gets super hot in there the kids don't seem to mind though. Overall, I would recommend this school, the pricing is pretty fair for what they offer. read more

This place is just so wonderful .. I literally leave here every week with such a huge smile on my face and heart filled with so much joy. Ms Cody is so wonderful, her patience is unbelievable! My wife and I keep saying how blessed we are to have her teach our daughter so much. We take an afternoon class as our princess is not a morning person. On the first day we really didn't think our daughter was going to be ok.. by the end of the class she wanted more. Our daughter all week talks about her class and friends. I love this studio! My daughter has been taking classes and been on the dance team for several years. We stay because we are so happy with the owners and coaches. Enrolled my daughter into star babies and she absolutely loves it! I also love that the parents can watch from the viewing room. The academy has a great make-up policy which is sooooo appreciated when dealing with kids that get sick all the time. We can just bring our daughter to any other class! My daughter has been dancing at Brooklyn Dance Academy for over 2 years. I drive 25 minutes to the studio but would drive twice that distance. In the past 2 years my daughter has grown immensely in confidence and as a dancer. This is all because of the love and skilled guidance of the coaches at BDA. I can say without hesitation that all of the coaches and the owner (Jessica) love the dancers and are invested in their growth and happiness. Coaches provide expert instruction and correction to support dancers in advancing and achieving their goals. Jessica is always available to assist dance families and takes so much pride in the studio and dance family she has built. We have gained incredible friendships from the BDA family. Since COVID, BDA (coaches and owner) have gone above and beyond to keep dancers engaged with Zoom classes. Now that we are back in the studio that level of attention has flowed through to the precautions taken to protect dancers and ensure a clean and safe environment to dance in. A rare gem in the Inland Empire! All of the staff from the owner, Jessica to the instructors are very friendly and professional. From the beginning, whether you are a long time student or just trying out a class, you are treated like family. I appreciate the openness of the studio always willing to work with each individual family, recognizing that we all have other activities that we participate in addition to dance. The dress code of this studio is modest: meaning no midriff tops or booty shorts. The main focus of this studio is the art and mastery of dance, not how fancy the costumes are. The moms are equally as friendly; no drama or dance moms here. We are thankful for this studio and for all of the variety of classes they offer from hip hop, breakdancing, jazz, tap, lyrical and many others.
