The young man who brought me into the exam room, did VS and recorded my current med list was delightful. He was very kind, professional and had a great sense of humor. The woman who brought me from the room to the exit door to show me how to access the lab was very kind and professional. The lab staff were pleasant, welcoming and very kind. I received a call in less than 24 hours from Karen in the lab reviewing the results with me. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and the kindness that was shown to me. As for Dr. Sanner, he spent about 30 minutes with me, reviewing my history, meds and any concerns that I might have. He was very collaborative when we discussed my personal health care and I felt heard and my opinion and knowledge were valued. As a new resident to this part of the country, I am relieved to have met this wonderful team and look forward to working together fo a very long time.

Background: I was a patient of the clinic for many years…read more(back when her dad was the dentist. I have never had anesthesia for fillings or cleanings in my life because there isn't a need. Reason for low review: We had a snow storm earlier this month, and she closed her clinic Thu & Fri because of it. She is closed Sat & Sun. I had been dealing with a low-level pain for a month using self-care. As luck would have it, the pain intensified that Wed night. I was unable to close my mouth or eat. Just touching the tooth with floss was excruciating. The clinic opens at 8 AM. When I didn't receive the call I was expecting, I called in and was told she doesn't arrive in until 9. When I finally got the call at 10 I was told I had to wait until Wed. I found an emergency dentist who could see me in 30 minutes, so I went to him. He told me I had fractured a root, would need antibiotics and at least a root canal. He got me in to see the endodontist a few hours later. I was told the tooth needed to come out & have an implant placed. By the time I saw the endodontist, the pain was still severe, but not excruciating (the antibiotics and naprosyn had kicked in). Once I saw the oral surgeon & had the dates, I called back to Montgomery's clinic to give them the update. I was informed that I was no longer going to be seen by Andrea because I went to another dentist when she couldn't fit me in. Her receptionist was very apologetic, saying she told Andrea several times that my pain was excruciating...Andrea simply didn't care. As a patient, I am stunned by her selfish callousness. As a physician, I am appalled by her rudeness, lack of empathy, and lack of professionalism. The truly sad part about this is that the hygienist I usually went to is AWESOMENESS personified. Steer clear of this clinic and its parent company, Catalyst Dental Allies…read more While Dr. Carbone has always been kind in my interactions, the events surrounding my husband's treatment by another provider there have left us with serious concerns regarding patient safety, infection control, communication, and management oversight. My husband underwent preparation for two crowns at this office approximately a year and a half ago. During that appointment, we witnessed a dental assistant place a bare, ungloved finger into his mouth. During the same procedure, a dental instrument was dropped onto the floor by the treating doctor. The instrument was then picked up by the dental assistant, wiped with a Cavicide disinfectant wipe, and immediately handed back to the doctor for use in my husband's mouth without proper dry time. What makes this particularly concerning is that Cavicide labeling contains warnings regarding skin contact and proper use. The instrument was not sterilized through any process that we observed before being reintroduced into the oral cavity. Shortly thereafter, my husband developed painful sores, cuts, abrasions, and significant oral discomfort. To this day, he continues to experience complications from those crowns, and we have now been informed that they must be completely redone at our expense by another provider. Equally concerning was the conduct and demeanor of the dental assistant during the incident. The assistant appeared extremely emotional and was crying during portions of the interaction. As his spouse , it raised serious concerns regarding whether she was in an appropriate condition to be assisting with patient care during an invasive dental procedure. The Regional Manager, Lacey, was present during these events and interactions yet did not intervene or address the concerns that were being raised regarding patient safety and clinical conduct at the time it was happening. When I later attempted to discuss reimbursement for treatment that now must be redone elsewhere, the office repeatedly refused to provide meaningful assistance. During multiple phone conversations with Gia, I was never asked to verify my husband's identity or date of birth before discussing aspects of his care and account. I found this troubling from a privacy and compliance standpoint. I was told that the new management would not discuss the matter with me further and that I needed to contact Human Resources. I was given an email address to contact and that was it. The office manager, Gabby, and other staff members were unable or unwilling to provide the information necessary to escalate the complaint. For a corporate-owned practice, I found the lack of transparency and accountability extremely frustrating. Additionally, we experienced repeated billing issues throughout our time as patients and my insurance had to get involved to get us reimbursed. Whenever questions were raised regarding charges, communication became noticeably more difficult and retaliatory. We trusted this practice with our family's dental care. Instead, we were left dealing with ongoing pain, additional dental expenses, unanswered questions, and a complete lack of accountability. Patients deserve better.
