As a veteran traveler, over the years I've developed a fondness for the iron-free shirts made by Brooks Brothers. While a lot of manufacturers claim their shirts are iron-free, the reality tends to be somewhat different for most; with Brooks Brothers shirts you really and truly do NOT have to iron them! Despite the fact that this store is an outlet, customer service here is excellent; they fold, wrap, and bag everything just like in their regular retail stores. They obviously care about their customer's experience even though shopping here is about the least expensive way to buy their merchandise. Obviously, they sell a lot more than just iron-free shirts here, but I can't comment on what it's like buying the other merchandise in this particular store because shirts was all I bought :-) read more

HIGHLY recommend this store Shopping for clothes has become an unwelcome chore. By contrast, my visit this past weekend to Brooks Brothers in the Camarillo Outlets Mall was a true joy. We needed to find "dress up" clothes for a memorial back East. So many stores have closed in Santa Barbara that we hoped it would be worth driving to the Camarillo outlets to get a better selection. We started at Brooks Brothers and within minutes had exactly what we needed. I have come to dread the rote "Welcome In" phrase that most retail staff utter as I enter a store. What does that even mean? It always seems as though they're obligated to say it, and are quite bored by it. By contrast, from the first moment we stepped into the Brooks Brothers Outlet, we were approached by an authentically welcoming, competent, and helpful staff member. Angelina gently and cheerfully inquired about our needs, measured my partner's shoulders and sleeve length to get the correct fit, and ushered us to exactly the right shelf to find what we needed. No wandering around the store lost, no trying on three sizes to figure out if one will work, no wasted time. Just a pleasant and helpful encounter with someone who really knows her stuff and makes every customer feel like the most important person in the world. So, I quickly went to the Brooks Brothers store at Camarillo Premium Outlet. They were incredibly helpful and quick. They even steamed the shirt for me. My husband and I stopped in here to try to find him a suit last night. They have suits up to a 50L and though they had my husband's size, they didn't have quite the color we wanted so we ended up buying his jacket and pants at another store. The staff at Brooks Brothers were very professional and extremely helpful though, and I thought the suits looked very high quality. Jacket prices ranged from about $250 to $600 on the tags I glanced at and though most of the store looked like it was on sale, I didn't see any signs suggesting the suits were. The staff helped my husband get his measurements and also found him a really sharp looking shirt to go with his suit. It's a nice white button-up and it was $80. I liked the service and the products are high quality. If you can afford the store, I'd definitely come here again. it's a little higher than we usually shop, but their larger sizes, helpful staff and good selection would bring me back. read more

I have an interview tomorrow and due to school and work, I barely have time to make store hours. I also haven't had an interview in a few years and walking around the outlets I felt lost in choosing the right clothing. Googling images of interview attire was also helpless. Going into Brooks, I got to talk to Adrian and he helped me choose some great clothes. He was patient with me and went through a few shirts before we decided which fit best. I asked for his opinion on suspenders and he was honest about it (yeah that's how lost I was). Shout out to Adrian and Angelina for their help. I'm not big on shopping but to me, experience is everything. They delivered excellent customer service and gave me the confidence I need. Connie was the consummate retail associate, greeting me with warmth and helping me with every detail. as far as I'm concerned, all sales personnel would do well to emulate her.I had been searching for a soft, new bathrobe all over town when a salesman from a nearby store told me to go to Polo, that they had some for $215 with a sign-up discount for 15% off. 215 for a bathrobe seemed a bit high but I was near so why not look. I usually don't buy polyester but the robes were so soft and luxurious, and the price tag read $115, a hundred less than the man thought. Yes, I was stoked! I filled out the discount form and claimed the discount. When the gal rang me up, I couldn't believe my lucky stars, as the total came to $65 total, including tax. We had an excellent experience here a few weeks ago for a suit purchase. I've never really purchased a suit so I went in with zero knowledge of anything. One of the employees showed me around but I could immediately tell she was new and in training and as soon as I tried one jacket on, one of the "veterans" took over.. Her name was Angelina and she was GREAT. She hand picked 2 full suits out for me, along with matching dress shirts, ties, and socks. Her knowledge and expertise made the entire buying experience so much better, and she was extremely patient with me while I asked a million questions. Highly recommend this spot, and definitely ask for Angelina. ALSO, their deals are ridiculous. I got 2 suits, dress shirt, 2 ties, socks and all for under $700.. Hard to beat! read more

I drove all the way out here from Pasadena. Boy, it was definitely worth it. I got help from Nadia and she was fantastic. She spent about an hour with me. I wanted 2 suits. I told her what color I was interested in and my size. Different brands fit differently. At Hugo Boss, a 40 L fit me better. At Brooks Brothers, I'm a 40 R as I prefer the European cut. She kept bringing me different suits to try on. I think I may have tried on close to 15 different ones. I found the 2 that I liked. One of the suits didn't have my pant size, but she offered to ship it to me free of charge. I actually decided to go one size larger that she had in stock and actually now fits better (I must be getting fat). As I mentioned, every brand fits a little differently. She also helped me pick out shirts that matched well Auth the colors I wanted. Thank you Nadia! In terms of price, I got lucky and showed up on a day when there was a sale (2 for $500). If you know Brooks Brothers and their quality, they usually retail for $600-$2100 online. Tips: not every suit is going to fit perfectly. Chances are you're going to need to get some of it tailored. Out of the two suits I purchased, I'll only need to get one of the jackets tailored. read more

Found a gift for my boss here at a great price. Happy about that. Not so happy about Elizabeth, the pushy Sales Associate who kept asking me to donate so she could meet some quota, and also very upset that they charge for boxes. Hey lady, when I tell you I'm not interested in donating, don't keep asking me, don't keep saying "Come on, can't you just donate $1, I only have $9 left and my shift is over soon." I'm spending close to $100 at your store, I don't need you to put some guilt trip on me about donating. On top of that, it's so freakin' tacky that this Brooks Brothers charges $3 for a box, when I just spent close to $100. Really? What retail store in today's economy where sales are down charges for their own damn store boxes? You would think you want to encourage sales of your products, not piss off the customers by charging for your own damn boxes. You're not the post office. Other retail Brooks Brothers stores like the one in Beverly Hills does not charge for boxes. Incredibly tacky. And on top of that, another associate said part of the $3 charge for the box is donated. SO WHY THE FREAKIN' F IS ELIZABETH BEGGIN' ME TO DONATE EVEN MORE. In my opinion this store's customer service is tacky and if I can avoid it in the future I will. I usually never update my reviews, and I also don't like basing reviews on customer service instead of product, but maybe I'm expecting too much that at a store that sells suits and fashion for professionals, that there would be even in a limited capacity some type of respect and courtesy for the customers. Going the the store during the holiday shopping time where they have the best sales, it's expected that trying to find the most common sizes is going to be a challenge. After spending about an hour in the store and going through everything, was able to finally find a pair of dress pants that was my size and length. When trying the pants on, I noticed that the button on the inside of dress pants (I think it's called the "French Fly" - the one that really serves no purpose, I guess it suppose to help the front of the pants not to bunch up, but whatever) had fallen off. To me it didn't really matter, I was going to ask if they had one with the button, or just give me a spare button and I would put it back on, but regardless, even no button, it was fine for me. With the pants being 50%, I could live without a non-essencial button. So I went to the cash register to pay, I stood in line where everyone was, but when it got to my turn next, I got yelled at by one of the cashiers, that I was starting the line in the wrong area.... ok... I wasn't the ring leader here, so I just went over where he wanted me to stand. Would have been nice if he could have said a simple, please or something instead of treating me like I was the cause of Anarchy. Then when it was my turns, I gave the cashier lady my pants, and mentioned that the inside button was missing and if they had an extra button. Without saying anything she searched the computer if they had more pants and then said, "this is the only size we have left". I said, "ok, thats ok".... but before I could even finish the sentence, she cut me off and said, "I can't sell these to you", and I tried to ask why, but Mr. Anarchy in a register over felt like it was his duty to get involved yelled, "YEP! can't sell those to you." Then they called over the store manager and they told her there we no more in stock, and she also then said "I can't sell you defective items." I tried to say that I didn't care the button was missing, but they didn't seem to care at all and just ignored me from that point on... only thing I was left to do was walk out of the store. I'm not actually complaining about the Airport Security strict rules about not selling defective items, I mean I'm sure its a matter of national security that would put a stain on BrooksBrothers if I'm walking around town wearing their pants that is bunching up in the front because the French Fly is not buttoned.... They could technically go out of business at that point. Maybe it was just too much to expect that if they can't sell me a product that one of the 3 employees including the store manager could at least show or pretend to have even a drop of compassion, or say 'SORRY' for the trouble or explain why selling a pants with a missing button would cause the world to end. But instead they spoke to me like I was their child who came home with an A- in school and needed to be sent to my room with no dinner to think about how I could do better. Best place to shop for those expensive suits for interviews, jobs, etc!!! NON IRON SHIRTS The non-iron miracle shirts are AMAZING. At the regular store, they range from 90 to 120 bucks. Here, they are 50-60 dollars. Being broke in law school, but yet still needing to look like a million dollars, this place is the place to go. The suits are so tailored to your body and they JUST FIT. It might just be me, but I can feel how right it feels on. POLOS I caught the sale on polo shirts and I bought 6 because they were 60% off! That makes them about 16 dollars apiece! They also look and fit better than the Lacoste shirts on me. REFILLS! SHIPPING The best part is that once you know what your size is, and what you want, you can call the store to refill your stock. As long as you have a credit card with them, your info is in the system and they just pull you up and get the stuff for you right there. They ship it to you for 9 dollars, and you don't have to drive all the way to Camarillo, which would cost you more than 9 bucks to get there anyway!! read more

I've visited this location several times, mostly to replace my husband's briefcases. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And the store appears to have a nice selection and is well stocked. The only downside is usually parking because this store is part of the popular Camarillo outlets. If possible, visit during the morning weekdays. read more

I first discovered this place about 3 years ago. I'm sure glad I did. Brooks Brothers is one of the oldest men's clothing stores in the country and many of their suits and sport coats are timeless. Many of these styles were sold back in the 1920's and 30's and they still look great today. Today Brooks Brothers suits and sport coats being sold are two-button suits. I have bought many sport coats and suits from other places like men's warehouse and 3- day suit broker but I can say Brooks Brothers has the highest quality and style. Sales persons Dorian and Adrian have been helpful every time I have gone in to do some shopping. Both know there stuff, can help you with colors, ties and they can tell what size you are without you telling them. That's the true mark of solid workers. Its best to buy from here when there is a sale; which come and go through out the year. Overall, I give the quality of their products 5 stars and Dorian and Adrian 5 stars as well. read more

Great hunting today! I got a tux and a grey suit plus two shirts and two ties, plus a power work outfit for my wife for three figures! Eric was a huge help. Most outlet stores are not very good, I don't think, but the Brooks Brothers Outlet is different. Yes, I know it's not the same inventory as a Brooks Brothers store in Beverly Hills. But it's very good (I can't tell the difference). Thanks to Eric for making sure we got the best deals available. The guy doesn't want me to touch their clothes in the rack, he was saying there are displays hanging that i could touch and look. I am a paying customer, before buying a clothe i want to see if it fit me well and look good on me. Experiencing this kind of rudeness . . . . . It is with utmost pleasure that I am able to write this review and praise one of the employees in the Camarillo Outlet who went over and above any customer service I have experienced in such a long time, I actually thought customer service was a thing of the past. Last week I was vacationing in Maui, Hawaii and stopped in at the Brooks Brothers outlet store in Lahaina to search for a pair of cotton pants that I had purchased in California in past years and truly loved the style and fit but was told they were discontinued. I actually was lucky enough to find one pair and asked the sales clerk to see if another Brooks Brothers store in California had another color. The clerk said she called and found one pair in Camarillo, California but her computer went down and she would call back for us when she regained service. We left the store and wandered around the center for awhile. When we returned the sales clerk said "The pair that was in Camarillo was just sold and no other store had them". We decided to make a call on our own and were very fortunate to speak with Gary Rodriquez in the Camarillo Outlet store who not only found the exact pair I was looking for but actually mailed them to our home in Modesto , California and I had them in two days. The manager Erica at the Camarillo outlet store was extremely rude and unprofessional. I brought $450 dollars worth shirts the day before Black Friday ( because I had my husband with me) and I came back the next day to exchange 10 shirts for the sale price and she made me go find all the shirts on the floor again instead if selling me back the shirts I brought in. What is the point of that? I guess just to irritate a good customer. I will no longer shop at this store. read more

My experience with Angelina Avila, the store manager was very frustrating. I've never ran across a so called "manager" so ill-prepared to offer customer service. Literally, after saying " I am Angelina" the next words out of her mouth were " I am going to stand behind our 90 day return policy." No apology for the defective merchandise, no questions about the merchandise itself, no attempt to listen to my concerns. She clearly could care less about me. She took zero responsibility or ownership as the manager. In fact, she walked away from me as I was speaking and finished her lunch break in the stock room!! Blown away, I waited for her for 5 minutes before she returned. Shocked, I asked for her bosses name, which she refused to give me. I am a 3rd generation customer of Brooks Brothers, and have shopped at the stores in Seattle, Beverly Hills, Palm Desert for 25 years. I am questioning my continued patronage of Brooks Brothers, not because of the defective merchandise, but because of Angelina Avila. Her uncaring attitude was insulting and lacked professionalism. Gary is the freaking MAN!!! Take your business to him exclusively! He's a true "sales consultant" vice a salesman and he will never push the "must sell" items on you. I had a mediocre experience purchasing 4 new suits from an ass hat on a Thursday night based on his "visual fitting assessment" and "visual suit analysis" after trying them on. I didn't love the cut but he explained to me very incorrectly that this was the "fitted" version of the brooks series.... Entirely incorrect! I went back the following evening with intentions to purchase a few new shirts and got talking to Gary who informed me of the correct fit hierarchy! I explained to him my dilemma and he looked up my receipt and said " run home and pick up the suits, by the time you get back I'll have 4 new ones in the right cut and right size for you to try and I'll have the exchange all set!" Mind you... This is 8pm on a Friday night and there is zero commission in this for him as the initial purchase had already been credited to another salesman!! I did just that and Gary was waiting for me upon my arrival at 8:40 with everything I needed! It was obvious that the other associates were anxious to leave but my man took great care and time to make sure that everything fit well and was properly packaged and documented.
