The line was brutal. I spent 28 minutes in a checkout line with only two registers open. By the afternoon, the store was trashed with messy racks and scattered shoes. If you can stomach the chaos and slow service, the selections are great. If you can get out of town ,go early on a weekday to beat the crowd and see some of the best inventory the area has to offer.

Walking in, the first thing I noticed is at the store was very bright and everything seemed to be pretty organized and items are easy to find. Their fitting room in the back was closed. They directed me to the front of the store where there are two self-serve fitting rooms. You are allowed to try on five items at a time. I don't think the employees check these very often as both had a bunch of hangers all over the floor and on the bench. Where they're lacking is their customer service. I had interactions with three different employees, none of which had name tags. One of them had a lanyard with no tag. The other two had nothing. Only reason I knew they worked there was because They were talking to each other next to the cash register. Anyyyywaaaays, I wanted to know if they had a specific product . The first two employees I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about and just looked at me with what I can only describe as a blank stare. They were young so I gave them a pass. The third woman that I spoke with gave me no eye contact whatsoever. She was actually pretty rude to be honest. The only time she looked at me was when I got her attention... As I was asking her a question she immediately looked back down, continuing to put hangers on clothes. It's so rude. I was pretty offended actually .Especially because she was an older woman. I was eventually able to find what I needed. I found some pretty good bargains in the clearance section and overall it was an okay experience today at the thousand oaks Ross.

May of us in line were commenting how slow the check out process was as Coco organized shopping carts while a long line formed. 8 customers in line, one active register, and employees who are free to ring people up. In a world where Amazon is king, and online shopping is convenient, why would I waste my time shopping at stores like TJmaxx when the service is horrific. She didn't make eye contact, nor did she show any interest in helping me further. I found this encounter particularly disappointing. Given that the display was located near the entrance and there were no shoes visible underneath the table, I had no way of knowing where to find what I needed. This lack of engagement and assistance has led me to conclude that I would prefer to shop online rather than endure such poor in-store service in the future. With this horrible service I wouldn't be surprised if this location gets shut down. Terrible!
