I would like to update my review because Ann Taylor customer service has declined. No one greeted us at the door as they used to, offered to take our items to the fitting room while we shopped, and was around when trying on the ones we had picked. The ladies at the register were nice. Prices were reasonable, but quality seems to have declined. I am very sad because this used to be my favorite store. My main reason for writing this review is the sorry state the fitting rooms were. The floors are really deeply filthy with blackened gum remnants here and there. See the pictures. read more

Oh Ann Taylor, why do I love thee? Because 1. You have a great selection for PETITES! 2. You have GREAT SALES!! 3. The front area sales staff are NICE and HELPFUL! As you might have guessed, I'm on the shorter side. For years (and I know I'm not alone on this), I've struggled to find clothes that fit well. Often times I end up having to alter my purchases (pants particularly) and switching brands, or just having dry shopping spells. (Meh, it happens, and I can't say that my wallet really complains during those times...) Anyway, after shopping here, I have made a firm yet liberating decision... I will NOT buy clothes that I have to alter EVER again (unless it's a bride's maid dress anyway). No more pants to hem, no more sleeves to shorten... If it doesn't fit right for any reason, back to the rack you go!!! The other thing to mention is that these clothes are of nice quality. Even though it's their factory line, The whole right front of the store is dedicated to petites. Granted, they don't make petite options for ALL of their clothes, but there is a nice variety and if it's a short sleeve or sleeveless top that catches my eye in the regular section, it usually means that it will be a little longer on my torso. They also have a large sale section in the back of the store and do their best to separate out the regular merchandise from the petite sizes with clear labels on the rack. Even in the chaos of the holiday sale, things were generally in the right area, allowing for quick browsing or hard core scrutiny. I found a ton of stuff I wanted to try on. It was getting a little nutty. The sales associate kindly provided me with a bag to carry all the possible buys, which freed up my hands to do more browsing. I'll admit, the staff in the fitting room area weren't trying to be of any help. They told us to go to whatever room is empty, checked up on no one, didn't ask if anyone needed sizes, and let us pretty much do our own thing. In this regard, it might be best to grab the sizes you think you need, try them on and be on your merry way. When I first got in the store, you might have thought it was Black Friday. There was a long line at the counter, with each cashier busy ringing up purchases. By the time I got in line (about 40 min before store closing, and no, I wasn't there all day, but maybe a good hour...) there was only one cashier and only one person being rung up. However, even as I was being helped another small line formed and another cashier appeared quickly. Even though I was already being checked out, I thought that was pretty awesome. read more

I have been to the store twice in the past 2 months. Both times no acknowledgement from employees that I was in the store. Never said a word to me. Obviously, there was no concern if I needed help with anything. Too busy talking amongst themselves in the cash register area. Very poor customer service. read more

The deals on the clothes are very good. However their customer service is okay.. it could be better but it's not. The only person who helped me was a nice gentleman. I would go back for the deals but dealing with their customer service just draws clients away.. read more

Found lots here. They have the best prices on career clothing . The only thing is I purchased a pair of shorts and when I got home the receipt coded it as a sweater. I'd bet I'd have a hell of a time returning it if I had to, thankfully I loved the shorts. read more

Their clothes are super professional and clean. Very conservative and great quality clothing. Lose a star for substandard customer service. Seems like they are not very interested in helping others. They don't even look at you or acknowledge that you're even there. read more

Typical Ann Taylor Factory store. This particular one had a decent amount of petite clothing, a decent amount of dresses and nicer wear (versus business attire), lots of accessories. I did not like this Ann Taylor since there was only one or two mirrors on the floor (in case you try on a hat or a blazer that you do not bring into the fitting room). The fitting room overall was small with not too many rooms but each room was decently sized. While I was there they had your name on each room and enough staff coming in and out asking if you needed a different size. The fitting room did not have a 3-4 way mirror. read more

Although the brand atmosphere is nice, staff could use a bit of training for guest services and customer satisfaction, as I was asked firmly and with not even a "please" twice to step outside the wardrobe area (the area, I was not even IN a wardrobe) while waiting for my wife, so she had to walk outside the area for every change when she wanted to get my opinion. Even my kids (7 and 11) said "how rude and mean". Solution to avoid an unnecessary situation like this? How about a simple sign at the entrance of the wardrobe area with something like "ladies only" if this is indeed the store policy? I can read and I'm good at following instructions. I wish staff had name tags so I could call out the person in subject, as because of her attitudine everyone else might look bad. Too bad read more

The staff is always friendly and helpful here. I wish the AT's around my area were this nice. This store offers good deals and I love the clothes for the quality and appropriateness for casual/formal business work attire. As stacy and clinton on "what not to wear," would say....it's not the quantity but the quality of it. Great quality clothes fit better and last longer. I was visiting family as I'm fHawaii and have to say that I got what I needed at a great price! Plus a woman there named Sarah was very helpful. She tried to get me all the discounts I was eligible for and was vey sweet and kind in assisting me with my purchase. Great customer service. Will visit again when I come up to Cali again. read more

Warning: Check receipt carefully before you leave. The computer rung up my shirt at the wrong price and discount, and luckily, I was able to catch it. The employee was so nonchalant about the mistake, and I'm sure that there were people who paid more than necessary. I tried to explain this to her, and I was struck by her apathy and rude attitude. Same with the manager's. Some employees were nice and helpful, which explains the generous two stars. read more

I love Ann Taylor but not today. I was trying on a few things and needed a different size and to my surprise I never had a sales associate ask me if I needed help. I heard her saying it to someone else in the dressing room but not me. So, I asked my husband whom was watching my two year old to run and grab me a different size since I wasn't being helped by any one. Which he did. I then noticed that one of the pieces, a dress was torn. At that moment I saw an associate pass by and ask someone else if they needed help. I turned around and said "may I please have the same dress and size, this one is torn" she said yes let me help this women first, and I'll be right back that was fine by me. The Associate gives me the dress, I thank her, pay and take off. I get home hours later and find that she gave me the wrong size! I paid for a dress I can't fit into, which I was going to wear the next day. No help at all & noting to wear. read more

Terrible customer service, I just purchased an item that was final sale and after 5 min in store, they wouldn't let me exchange for another free nap sale item or any other item! It's all junk anyway!! Stay away from this store!!! read more

The only thing that's disappointing to me is that, while everything in the store is always labeled as on sale, I always walk out spending $200-$300 dollars--even if I didn't buy that much stuff.
