Wisely I am doing advance reconnaissance prior to her arriving at these destinations. Dear wifey was so disappointed when some of the cuter budget clothing shops in Flushing closed up. Wife was unconsolable when both Pretty Girl and Rainbow went out. She buried herself in Forever 21, Marshalls and Neiman Marcus outlets! It wasn't pretty.. Now ..I will be spared some of her wardrobe expenses as RAINBOW has all the styles that she loves that make her look young and cute, just the way she feels. Yes ..and wait for it . With Rainbows insanely cheap prices and huge selection cute and adorable wifey won't be dragging me all over the place. Or.. out to the distant East End Outlets again.. oh God no, not that. Yes there is every sandal that I ever seen made here and they just ten bucks each if you buy more than one. My fashion knowledge in general is sub-par, to say the least. All I knew for sure was that it was my wedding, and I had to look my absolute peak. Suffice it to say, there are a lot of shop owners who would've seen a rube like me as easy pickings. The Tuxedo Shop of New York is NOT one of those places. Nancy had obviously dealt with a million guys like me before. I gave her a (general) idea of how I wanted to look, and she pretty much went from there. I got measured, and she picked out a 3-piece tux, bowtie, suspenders and shoes. Way less money than I thought a tux rental would be. She was super nice and seemed generally-interested in engaging in conversation and hearing my wife and I's story. A week before the wedding, I came back to pick up the tux. There was a guy in the back (I forgot his name) who had me try everything on. He was kinda quiet; didn't really ask how anything felt. We discovered the sleeves were a little long, so he told us to wait 15 minutes while he made some alterations. It turned into more like 45 minutes. And he didn't even have me try on the altered suit. I kinda just trusted his judgement. Thankfully, everything worked out in the end. Suit fit great, wedding was great, and everything was returned without incident. So all in all, I would definitely return.
