My wife & I were shopping for mens shirts for a wedding we had coming up. Stopped in Brooks Bros. at the Palm Beach Garden Mall. Upon entering we were politely approached by a young man greeting us asking if we needed help, we indicated that were just browsing. He left us alone. Within a minute a woman clerk (Debra) approached us, we indicated we were just browsing, she wouldn't back off. She was not helpful, pushy, didn't care what I liked or did not like and at some point blurted out she lost her husband 6+ yrs ago. She was very demanding that I get a shirt I knew would shrink making it too small. She pushed and argued until I went for the smaller shirt that I washed in cold water and hung dried and is now too small to wear. While I continued to look at shirts she maintained a very close distance too me making myself & my wife uncomfortable. I'm going to reach out to the manager and see if I can return the shirt that shrunk. Would not recommend this store, if you do go, avoid Debra... The young man that originally greeted us seemed very nice, wish we would have said something at the time. Horrible customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would but i cant so I have to give one. My dad and I went to shop online for a suit for his wedding and he found a suit that grabbed his attention. After going in person and asking for that exact suit the employees told him they can do exactly that. After waiting for his suit to be finished we went back into the store only to see that they had false advertised his suit. On the description of the suit the statement had specifically stated that it included buttons, while going into the store to pick up the suit we had expected there to be buttons like the description had said. To our surprise we saw that the suit did not have buttons and when my dad had asked where the buttons were the manager of the store told us that they did not have a machine for buttons and proceeded to act like my dad was in the wrong and they tried to force us to take the suit. Long story short they basically told us they picked a random suit and said it was theirs. After a long minute of arguing (about an hour) they finally gave us a refund and we went to a different store and got a better-quality suit for half the price. Very rude employees do not fall for their false advertisement scams. For the expensive price that my dad had paid the quality is awful and the manager is awful. I would not recommend wasting your time at this overpriced store especially for something as special as your wedding. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I never ever write reviews on retail stores but when I encountered as bad a experience as I did I feel inclined. I entered the store and an older woman was the only woman working. She did not greet me. I was there sent by my company to get multiple shirts and a jacket. I approached her and stated what I was looking for and she jumped down my throat and treated me with great disrespect when I said I had looked at the brooks brothers outlet a few miles away. I am not a small woman. The store only carried shirts and blazers up to a size 10- which I did not fit. I needed a 12 or 14 neither of which she had and rather than state that in a nice way she proceeded to say she did not carry those in such a large size and simply nothing here would fit me. After continuing my shopping at the outlet brooks brother store in west palm I spent the $400 on clothes which did fit me. She lost a sale for her store and her attitude and tone is unacceptable in retail. Just because I was not her typical client does not mean she can brush me off with rudeness. Very disappointed in this store and I encourage maybe some further training for the woman or she find a new job. read more

All hat - and No Cattle. This company is a mere shadow of its former self. It's embarrassing to watch this once proud luxury market retailer 'settle' for mediocrity. I purchased 4 button-down oxfords just after Christmas (2018). And to be honest, I DID get a great deal on them. When I purchase ready-to-wear button-downs I always like to get them from BB. When they arrived (had to order them because they didn't have my size - 19-35. Their outlet stores always tell me "To get the larger sizes you really need to go to one of the retail stores" - so I do. So think about that for a second.. the SHIRT STORE, BROOKS BROTHERS.. was out of SHIRTS. That's like going to church .. and they're out of Salvation).. So when they arrived.. I unwrapped them and got them ready for washing - I like to wash them first before I take them to be laundered and pressed. Which is what I did this time.. only to have one of the sleeve buttons unravel and fall off. (Brand New.. Never Been Worn.. BROOKS BROTHERS. Not Target.. Not Kohl's.. but BROOKS BROTHERS. The button came off. Sighhh.. so I sew it back on.) But .. I like the look. So I went back to the store to get a couple (2) more shirts. And knowing I'd have to order them.. asked for the same size. After a quick computer search .. the retail person said. "It appears there are only four available in the company." (I'm thinking that's great, because I only want two.. RIGHT?) But for some reason .. when she went to order two .. the system wouldn't let her. I wanted TWO SHIRTS........from THE SHIRT GUYS.... and COULDN'T GET THEM... FROM BROOKS BROTHERS.. BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE SHIRTS TO SELL ME. Wow.. that's like going to Hooters.. and they're out of... wings. Now I could have understood if I'd gone in looking for embalming fluid.. or bullets.. or lettuce... but SHIRTS?? at BROOKS BROTHERS? The nice retail person then offered to sell me the two that I wanted with the '3-shirt discount'. But I just couldn't do it. I suggested they change their name to "Brokes Brothers" and just liquidate what they had and go find a business they could actually manage. Shameful. Heartbreaking. Let me know when the memorial service is for this once-great company .. I want to send flowers. read more
