It has been a few years since my Mom was under Dr. Howard Brooks care but I feel compelled to offer my opinion. There was an incident in which my mother fell while in their office. She was quite elderly and an ambulance was called. In my mind, and I could be mistaken, they were much more concerned with liability than her well-being. Truly, I can't speak highly enough of Dr.Brooks and his team at Brooks Dental. It was incredibly easy to make an appointment and parking is available right outside. When I went in for my first time patient consultation, I was immediately welcomed by a clean and orderly office full of cheerful and friendly staff. Dr.Brooks loves what he does and it shows in his work. He spent time getting to know me and my oral history. His team was incredibly thorough and listened to me with care. Mary and the other staff made me feel super comfortable and treated me like an actual person and not a random patient. I received my first cleaning today, and the quality of care went beyond any that I received in the past. The hygienist, Ellen, was incredibly attentive, friendly, detail oriented, gentle, and sensitive to my teeth concerns. She was also very great with verbally communicating with me about what she was doing, and educated me on many things that are helpful to my oral health! I no longer dread going to the dentist! I wanted a new dentist since my old place was an hour away from my new apartment. The lady cleaning my teeth was really rough and caused soreness on the face of my teeth. I was told I had 3 cavities and needed fillings. Which seemed weird since I haven't had a cavity since I was a kid. I decided not to get them because the bill came out to $350 with my insurance. They also wanted to charge me $795 after my insurance for a night guard, insane! So i declined the $1000+ work and went to my old dentist for a checkup (he confirmed I don't have any cavities nor do I need any fillings) Awesome, now dentists lie to us too. I have spoken to another person about their experience here, she was also given lies and didn't trust them. Also I ended up being able to get a night guard for $150 after insurance elsewhere. It's sad because the front desk people seemed pretty nice too, so for that I'll give them a star. read more

Went for consultation. Not happy . They claim I needed all my teeth pull and get full dentures went to my old dentist who give me partial. Told bill was going to be 200.00 when I went to front desk was told 480.00 . After I told reception when I as quoted she quickly change it and said she was looking at wrong number. I should have not brushed off the comment that the technician made about my insurance, "Let's see her dental coverage...oh, she has great insurance". That should have been a warning flag.
