I have a fairly stressful life, and Dr. Shindler suggested that I give it a go to help relieve stress. Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health. Nice to see a doctor's office understand.

I first chose his office because they were open to discussion regarding vaccinations. Together, we've made a schedule that works for us. We've also been seen by Michelle Hass, PA-C. She also provides great care. Since originally choosing their office primarily for my daughter, I've since started seeing them myself as well. They've been great with scheduling appointments for my daughter and myself back-to-back.

Extremely knowledgeable, respectful, attentive, and actually cares to help solve whatever issue you are having rather than just write any prescription. I have already recommend several people to him. Waiting area is small with seating for about 10 people. (People were coughing but not wearing masks. Face masks were provided at front desk.) Only one advanced care provider this weekend day, no business cards were available for her. We were disappointed we were not greeted at arrival. (Maybe because it was between holidays and a weekend that the medical assistants were having to register patients and provide medical assistance.) We were immediately told to check in at the entryway kiosk stand. After waiting a while, we were told to approach the front desk to complete registration. We had "saved a place" online, and waited more than 1.5 hrs. A waiting period was expected because it is a walk in urgent care. The provider was a professional, courteous, and thorough nurse practitioner. It was a quick visit and she addressed any questions. We were thankful this urgent care was open this holiday weekend. There is a CVS, Walgreens, and Costco pharmacy conveniently nearby.

The Drs say that they're sending a prescription to the pharmacy and when you go the pharmacy they say they tried calling the office multiple times and southfield pediatrics never called back. This has happened with both locations. Also when I called the office myself because the pharmacy couldn't get ahold of them I got met with disrespect. Another time I called the office the woman said "listen I'm a nurse I don't have time to deal with this" and hung up. The only reason I dealt with them for so long is because my insurance covers them. Please pick another location if you want respect and doctors and nurses to actually listen to you.

At first we were a little worried with them not having as much avaibilty at southfield Pediatrics. we have been going to them for the past 19 years and 7 kids later we are very happy with Southfield Pediatrics. They have many knowledgeable doctors , we have not went to one that we did it like. They all are good in their own way and have separate expertise in certain areas and we are grateful for that. There are so many people that go to this office I see how there some bad reviews here. Just from the amount of patients that they taken in I think if everybody commented that was happy it would be over flooded with five star ratings. I understand some people had bad experiences but People don't tend to rate on their doctors like it's a food establishment. So for that I believe this is a 4.5-5 office . if you were looking for a knowledgeable pediatric office this is the place to be.

Fast forward a few years and I am really interested in doing a blood test to see what kind of deficiencies I have and I had no dr. to go to. Dr. Kapatais was referred to me by a friend whose referrals I trust... so I gave in and went. I honestly didn't know if she'd spend two minutes with me or even do the testing because doctors seem to always want to tell you "you're fine" and send you on your way. I know I am a pretty healthy girl, but I was really interested to see my deficiencies. Not only did Dr.K listen to me, she helped me navigate through my fear of flying, which came up randomly because she actually talks to you and helped me understand more natural and realistic ways of dealing with my health, which is what I was so excited about. I have never felt like a doctor actually cared about me, until I met Dr.K.
