The doctor who did our tour let us know that the practice manager was very good about having sick apts open every day as well as new born apts. The only thing missing was a separate waiting area for sick kids. The doctor who did our tour let us know that when a sick child does comes in they are taken to an exam room quickly to reduce exposure to the healthy kids in the waiting room. We feel lucky to have such a nice practice within 15 mins of our home!

We received an email saying that the flu vaccines are in, and to make an appointment right away. I called, stated my name, and the receptionist said "You have Meridian Insurance? We do not have any flu vaccines in right now, we will email you when we get some in." I was confused and said "Oh, I just received an email saying to make an appointment?" Receptionist #1 said "Oh... hold on." and gives me to receptionist #2 who tells me "Hi, I am sorry about the email. We do not have any flu shots available for medicaid patients, and we do not know when we will have any in. The flu shots are only available for our other patients." WOW I get it, businesses have to make money. That isn't my issue. My issue is that they have different treatment plans - UNKNOWN to their patients - based on your insurance. When they said they didn't have any, I didn't question it at all, like many of their trusting parents, I am sure. They could have simply said they were low on flu shots and recommended going to a Rite-Aid so that you were following the same treatment they were recommending for their other patients - BABIES - during a PANDEMIC. Flu shots aren't hard to come by, they really don't need to deceive people because they want to prioritize people with insurance. The receptionists are following the direction of the doctors and owners of the practice. It is a shame that this is the country that we live in, and it makes me so sad that not everyone child is given the same advice and access to care. And don't accept medicaid patients if you are secretly going to have different treatment plans to maximize a buck. These are babies and children here. So sad.

When I asked the front desk, they said they'd check, but no update came. Meanwhile, others who came after me were seen first. This was just a second dose vaccine follow-up, and during my last visit, I was told it wouldn't take much time. I ended up waiting nearly 40 minutes before I was called in. That said, Sky was super cool, professional and gentle. I didn't even feel a pinch! In and out in 10 minutes. The wait was frustrating, but Sky made the actual visit smooth and easy. The clinic should definitely work on managing appointment timing better, especially for simple follow-ups.

DO's for general medical and family care are BETTER! They are trained extremely well, think things out and trained to look at your body as a whole being and aren't just saying, "yeah, ok, let's write you a script, and never find the root cause. Primecare of Novi knows how to care for people and children. I also like the fact that there are a few women in this practice. Every one of these doctors is super nice as well.

Our first thought upon walking in was it was very kid friendly with a very colorful ambience! The lady at the front desk is so delightful every time we are in there! She always has a smile on her face and makes us feel like family! All of the nursing staff has also been very welcoming and always ready to listen! Dr. Sana Syed has been a blessing as a Pediatrician! At our initial appointment she listens to our concerns, helped us come up with solutions to help in the meantime, referred us to a pediatric ENT where they decided to perform surgery the next day! Where as the other Pediatrician just gave us the runaround, Dr. Syed heard us and made things happen! Every appointment since we still feel just as welcomed and always have her undivided attention and knowledge! Everything we could've possibly ever wanted in a Pediatrician. She said she was trying to call me since they had a strict 10 minute cancelation policy and that despite being there at 4:40 they were canceling our appointment. We could not help that there was an accident. My husband is a physician and not once in his career has he heard of a 10 minute wait policy or turned a patient away. A little empathy and grace would go along way. Not to mention we have waited 20+ minutes at an appointment before (never once did we complain). We will not be back.
