As a prospective renter, my experience was very poor. That would have been fine. But what really annoyed me was the application process. The management is not familiar with more modern ways to verify employment and income (such as third party service) and insisted on unredacted pay stubs - which is much less secure. The interaction as we went back and forth was rude and reminded me of scammers trying to get one to divulge information urgently (because so many people are interested in the apartment!) at the cost of better judgement. In trying to get more information from me they cited their "policies" but being unable to articulate why their policy insists on having the information I didn't want to share (like my pre-tax deductions) This conversation was not with some mid-level employee but what seemed to be the owner. I should hope he could articulate the reasoning behind his own policy! To me, this company clearly orients themselves to customer service of property owners, not renters. Prompt responses to emails, quick answers to phone calls, transparent updates throughout the process, and even reassurances to call you back if they are tied up at the moment (and they actually call back as soon as they can!) Since my roommates and I are all out of town at the moment, and unable to tour the property in person prior to signing the lease agreement, Hanna assured me that her assistant Johnny would send me a video tour the following day. And sure enough, the next day - Johnny had a detailed video tour of the home in my inbox. Any question I had about the property, Johnny was able to answer. We so look forward to working with Hanna and her team during the duration of our lease agreement. I contacted Casey Roberson to request that the shared pipes and drains be inspected, as four plumbing companies had already determined that the issue wasn't coming from my unit's plumbing or appliances. She told me she could refer a plumber to me, but I would be responsible for the cost. I explained multiple times that I didn't need a referral--I needed the HOA to have its contractors check the shared plumbing. After getting nowhere with her, I asked to speak with her manager, Kary Leddy. Unfortunately, Kary was condescending and unprofessional, lacking basic customer service skills. She even used the term "speech 101" to explain why their plumber couldn't come out. While she claimed she wasn't trying to be rude, her communication came across as either uneducated or entirely unprofessional. After much back and forth with this incompetent property manager, she finally scheduled a contractor to check the property. This management company consistently fails to do their job, and the community should seriously consider hiring a new property management firm.
