My experience with Brooks Rehabilitation was extremely frustrating and poorly managed…read more It took three weeks just to get an initial evaluation scheduled once I was given the ok from my surgeon following surgery. I was told they offered late appointments (4-6 PM), which is the only reason I agreed to move forward. That turned out to be false--the latest appointment they offer is 4 PM. I adjusted my schedule anyway and booked eight sessions 2 weeks after the initial appointment . I then get a call, one week before my appointment saying they made a mistake and scheduled me with a therapist who only handles Workers' Comp cases. Now all of my appointments have to be redone. Their solution? Daytime appointments that don't work for anyone with a normal job. Between the long wait, misinformation, and careless scheduling errors, this place clearly does not have their operations together. I will not be using Brooks Rehabilitation services.

My domestic partner (of 40 years) had been at UF Health…read more(Shands) for over 5 years, he was bed ridden, contracted, had bedsores, and trach, and was on tube feeding (all this thanks to UF Health), he required 24 hour around the clock care as he was very fragile. UF Health approached this nursing home to take him (he was a huge financial burden on UF health), the Dr from UF Health (Dr. Gagadam), misrepresented my partner's current state of condition and was able to get Riverwood to accept my partner, which ended up costing my partner his life. I even met with the management at Riverwood, prior to them finalizing the acceptance and explained how fragile my partner was and they ASSURED me they could take care of him. Well he was there at Riverwood less then 72 hours and developed SEPSIS from not having his bedsores cleaned properly and his trach not cleaned and suctioned properly. 911 was called and he was sent to Memorial Hospital (HCA) where he died only a few months later from SEVERE SEPSIS SHOCK!!! Attached is the pictures of the bedsores that Riverwood failed to keep clean and dress, so if you care about your loved one you need to be advised of this

Unfortunately, it didn't work and I did have to resort to the shots, but I did have a good experience here. The physical therapists are just wonderful. They are very kind and understanding. They would push me, but they never pushed too far. They seemed to know my limits even better than I did. I guess that's why they are physical therapists and I'm not. :D It's a very large physical therapy center. Even though this one was a good distance away, there are not very many centers in jacksonville that offer the aquatic physical therapy. The pool is located inside and it is heated. It's more like an above the ground pool. For those who can't make it up and down the stairs, they have a chair for the patient to sit in which raises up and lowers the person into the pool... it then does the opposite to remove the person from the pool. The front desk people are wonderful also. They are great at working with your schedule to make appointments. They did a great job at filing my insurance for me too. If you're in need of aquatic physical therapy or other types of physical therapy, I highly recommend Heartland.

My loved one could not take the nastiness of the building and the staff. Staff members there are unprofessional, uncaring, mean, and disgusting human beings. My loved one coming from a hospital after having surgery was still feeling sleepy from the anesthesia, my loved one tried to get out of bed to go to the bathroom and a staff member must have seen my loved one doing this and came yelling at my loved one in the room and slammed her back down in bed and told my loved one to not get up again. Needless to say when i heard of this i called and tried to bring it to managements attention, instead of being concerned they kept stating that my loved one should have never tried to get out of bed without assistance. Never owning up to their staff being abusive to my loved one. This place needs to be shut down.

All were very professional, friendly and certainly knowledgeable . The Therapist Ashley, PT DPT was extremely patience and worked with me throughout the sessions in a VERY professional manner. I believe this type of work requires special employees which I found at the Center. I might add I have had Therapy throughout Brooks and haven't had a bad experience yet. VERY CARING. Suddenly, for no knowable reason whatsoever, my leg just locked up and wouldn't bend or straighten. Oh, and it hurt like hizzle. Heartland Rehab in Riverside saved my life! Or my leg. Either/or! Both! I was prescribed one month of physical therapy to fix my bum leg, and fix it they did. Before I started PT someone told me how nice PT could be... you get messaged, people fawn all over you, making your problems their problems. For one little hour you don't have to worry about things while these wonderful therapists worry for you. I had Ronata as my therapist and she was great. She taught me all kinds of exercises to strengthen my knee, she told me jokes, she gave my knee some amazing massages [best part about PT, hands down] AND she even prescribed me to have my husband give me massages every night. HA! Take that husband. It is a prescription. You have to do it! The facilities are nice with a view of the St. Johns River. You can continue to use their gym even after your PT is over for a membership fee, if you so please. I haven't tried that myself, already being a member of the YMCA, but I think it would be a great choice for someone recovering from an injury.

As a mom with several little children, I didn't even realize the pain I was dealing with was chronic until after I was treated at Active Health and felt such relief. I've seen chiropractors over the years and nothing was holding until Dr. Brown and Josh starting treating my fascia. I haven't had trouble with my lower back again as my treatment plan included PT and directions for workouts that helped balance muscle weaknesses, but without their Active Release Therapy, I would have never been able to find relief. I have referred Active Health over and over again and they are my go to with any injury. My kids are even patients now. I'm grateful to have Active Health as a place to get to the root cause of recurring injuries for me, my husband and my children.

He ended up in the hospital with dehydration & having what I call seizures. Dealing with Raydient Health Care has been a overwhelming nightmare! They have their own made-up rules regarding Covid & quarantine protocols that change almost daily! My dad has been fever free since 6/26! CDC guidelines mean nothing to these wardens!! My poor mother has yet to be allowed to see him since she was Covid positive too! She has since tested LFT negative but they are requiring her to have a PCR negative test. They keep flip flopping between 10 days & 14 days before she can see him!! My sister & I have seen him sporadically depending on who is up front. I can't even imagine how scared & confused my dad must be since I KNOW they have denied him his meds to keep him less agitated. I now know why people choose to keep their loved ones at home with Alzheimer's! Raydient Health Care has mismanaged my dad from the beginning!
