It's not much to look at, but it gets the job done. Stayed here for 4 nights in June. Even though it's off of a busy street, once the door is shut you can't hear the noise. Pros: Friendly front desk service, clean rooms, mini-fridge and microwave, plenty of tv channels, and coffee in the lobby 24/7. Cons: Can't say much for housekeeping. They came in once and swapped out our towels but didn't take out the trash. Toilet handle stuck sometimes and left the water running which then leaked so we had to be watchful every time we flushed. All in all, the price was good and the motel was clean and friendly so I'd stay there again. read more

The room was clean and it was good for the price. No microwave or fridge but that's no big deal. Problem was the front desk, my husband & I parked and the worker was standing outside smoking & told us to give her a minute & not to go inside until she finished?? We were traveling from Phoenix, had driven 10 hours that day & were cold & exhausted. She then told us we didn't need our masks & that covid was a government scam to control us & "looks like it worked on some people". Once we got in and she saw our Phoenix ids she told us we must hate it there because "The immigrants are taking all of our jobs and houses" (we are Hispanic???) it was just a disgusting experience. read more

A super cute motel! The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean and accessible. Also, I love the sign at the check-in desk welcoming dogs. It's strategically located near some good places to eat as well. There is a Jaker's Bar and Grill nearby, but if you want something cheaper, I recommend Paradise Falls. There is another bar by the motel if you want to go drinking. Ruby's Cafe is also a short walk from the motel, which is a great breakfast option. I was never wanting for tv options. Clean and the front desk staff are nice. Fridge and microwave work. Buildings are showing their age and falling apart. A/C super loud and keeps me awake. Baseboard heater falling off the wall. No coffee maker in the room. Overall it's not terrible but I'll pick somewhere else next time. read more

Nothing to complain about here! Especially for the price! Clean room, good shower, lots of TV channels. Slept really well, no sounds from other rooms. (until the morning when some super thoughtful men decided to stand right in front of our window and have a 20 minute chat about the Griz game the previous night...sounded like they were actually in our room.) Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful! Location is a bit far from the bar we needed to be at, and we couldn't get a cab so we walked an hour each way - but that's not the hotel's fault! Only problem with the room was the smell - it was a smoking room (all that was available unfortunately) so it was a little yucky. But whatever, nothing crazy. read more

I love this motel, my partner and I needed a last minute place to stay (3 separate nights) in Missoula and this staff is amazing. The guy downstairs (I think his name is Brandon) was extremely welcoming and funny. There was a situation where credit cards got mixed up and they handled the situation so smoothly. Also! The rates are so so so reasonable for how close you are to town. The beds are comfortable and clean, the rooms are spacious... and free coffee and muffins in the morning. We are riding our bikes from Cali to sturgis and stopped at this hotel for the night. We used our AAA card and got a discount but for $75 no coffee pot not microwave no mini fridge only a queen size beds that was totally uncomfortable. The coffee in the lobby was weak and tiny styrofoam cups so u have to either go back for a second one or take two ans drink one cold. The tv is so outdated that it is grainy. When we came in the I asked the older guy about pricing and what I saw on Booking.com ans he straight told me "then use Booking.com" kinda rude. He did get nicer after that. I would rather pay the $10 more that so many other hotels charge for the few things that make staying away comfortable. Brooks St. Motor Inn Missoula,Mt. J and I had to stop due to me being very sick and this is the only place that wasn't $400+ a night with 1 room available that took 2 dogs. We had bugs in our rooms. I called the office and the sweet girl up front said she'd give me big spray because I asked for some. I DID NOT request a refund or even get out of line. I went outside to meet her halfway and an old woman asked me what I was doing and what I needed because the lobby was closed. She immediately had an attitude with me. I told her I was the person coming to get the bug spray and she said they didn't have any but she was going to give me something. So I walked over and she said "where are the bugs now" and I said "we killed them there in the trash" .. cause why would we just keep them? She then said we "should not have done that because now there was no proof of them". I told her the bugs were still in the trashcan and that I took a picture and she snickered and said "of course you did". I said "why are you being rude" and she said show me the picture. When I showed her I zoomed in on the bug because it was a picture I took of a bug on the ceiling and she was old and had glasses on and she said "of course that picture is enlarged and magnified"...? I said "ok and a bug is still a bug!?" She told me I had no proof so I said goodnight and walked away before things escalated. I went back to the room and decided to pull the bugs out of the trashcan to bring them to her so she didn't think I was making it up. All I wanted was some bug spray or the bugs gone. When I walked outside and started walking towards the lobby I could hear her talking to the younger girl about how all I had was a picture of a bug and how I was full of it. When she heard me she stopped talking about me and started walking away and I said "here's the bugs I brought them for you to see ". She said "What do you want me to do about it? Go back to your room and keep smoking." At that point she really pis*ed me off and I said "What are you even talking about ? I have cancer, I don't smoke." And she said "Then why are you in a smoking room ? Why did you book a smoking room?" I said " I was originally put in a smoking room because I called last minute and it was the only thing available so I took it. When I arrived the girl at the desk told me there was a cancellation and that we could have a non-smoking room so we took the non-smoking room." After that she didn't have much to say besides "That's your fault. You booked the room and that's what you get ." I said "Why should I have to get a room that has f***ing bugs in it and nothing gets done about it. People don't book rooms for the bugs ." She then told me don't cuss at her and I would be kicked out if I said the F word again. So I left and went back to our big infested room. When I checked out today and told the guy at the desk , he was really nice about it but only really said "yeah I know what bugs you're talking about" and said he would talk to the woman about the things she had said. The staff , aside from the old woman, is very friendly and the rooms are clean besides the bugs. I doubt anything will be done because it's a family ran business. I did take pictures and videos of the 10 bugs we found around the room and got the entire room on video so "I'm not lying about it" and I will be going to every social media platform that I can to let everyone know of our horrible experience we had and posting the pictures/videos. Pros: Room is clean and spacious. We did get toilet paper without asking! Cons: No microwave or refrigerator. (I guess they are available in some rooms so be sure to ask. We did not. ) No soap or shampoo in the room. You have to ask for it at the front desk? Come on! Peeling paint in the bathroom. (Didn't ask for that!) We always take snacks on our road trip so I was really disappointed to not have fridge or micro. Saw pictures on website that showed them and it was one of the reasons we came here. This was not my favorite motel. The room is really dated but mostly clean. One chair was badly stained, there were only two towels and one face cloth. If you can choose a room, ask for one facing west, the curtains do a poor job keeping the morning sun out. The motel is near a very busy road, we kept the a/c fan on, which helped to mask the road noise very well. The carpet and vinyl flooring was newer and clean. The coffee and muffins were good in the morning. The bed, pillows and sheets were fine. There are several restuarants within walking distance. We were charged $70 plus tax but thru an internet site the room was $65 plus tax. read more

Cheap motel that met expectations. Furniture and decor is old, shower head was a harsh fire-hose, and plastic over the lamps. We showed up late at night, got in, slept, and got out all for $50. The free wifi was a nice touch. I would have rated it higher but the baseboard heaters were stuck on which kept the place too hot. The broken shower head is a cheap fix, even for a hotel with limited budget for repairs. read more

Upon check in the lady was very rude, but then got nicer. The room was so so although they did not clean the room while we were there even though on the third day I went to the front desk and ask them to please clean the room and leave clean towels, they did enter the room that day but only emptied the garbagEd and took one dirty towel, not leaving another clean towel. I told them this when checking out and got an apology but of course nothing else. I would not recommend a stay at this hotel. read more

We always like to save money on hotels and go with a basic one, no need for anything fancy shmancy. I have to be honest, it is always a gamble but we roll with it. In this case, we were pleasantly surprised on the cleanliness of the room, like a hospital room..seriously! Nothing was broken, no water stains on the ceiling or even ripped carpet. It was really nice and comfortable and no weird ole smell, it was pleasant (some nonsmoking rooms have a lingering scent of smoke) The guy at the front desk was nice and funny, too. Stayed here in September, worst experience! Booked thru Hotwire, I wasn't expecting anything fancy. Room was a typical motel style, not horrendous but definitely nothing to write home about. My problem was with front desk. Got charged for my room once by Hotwire. And then AGAIN by hotel. I called multiple times and was told they'd look into it and call me back, I emailed them too -no response!! It's been 3 months now. $70 is still a little to expensive for the quality at Brooks St Motor Inn but $140 is just insane. Will never stay at this dishonest place again. read more

For the price, this was a great hotel. The room was dated, but clean and kept up. I appreciated the fact that it had a newer air-conditioner that worked well on a hot night. I also appreciated the ample counter space which gave my husband and I lots of room to spread out our camping gear. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for several reasons. Firstly, it lacked a small fridge which made it difficult for my husband and I to keep our road-trip food fresh. That being said, the front desk was very accommodating when I asked if I could store something in their refrigerator. Secondly, the pillows were very wimpy and the front desk did not have extra pillows to offer. Thirdly, the free breakfast (muffins and coffee) was a little skimpy. All told, my husband and I very much enjoyed our three-night stay there and would do it again! It was a great deal! read more

Unfort 2 stars for a few reasons. Number 1. Major issue i had was there was no secondary locks meaning no bolt locks or at least chain locks the doors felt very vulnerable to any type of movement espic load bangs or doors opening.also rooms where way out of date 1970s to 80s chain feels like with room i had 2 hanging glass light fixtures adoring my bed. Bed was rough my blanket smelled. Pillows hard but learned my lesssons before and bring my own. The main reason for 2 star review was price cant complain for my rate and front desk folks really tried. But if hotel modernized more it could be a descent hotel for good people read more

It'll do in a pinch. Cheap night's stay, plus coffee & 1/2 muffins. The staff is aces: super nice and helpful. It was quite while I was here. My room was too far away for WiFi to work. No pool or hot tub, but local pool/waterslides are close by and also cheap. My room looks like a 70's flash back. The carpet should have been replace 10 years ago. The TV is still a giant box, I never turned it on. The upholstery on the chairs: stained and they still use the old comforters that never get washed. The curtains...also from the dawn of ages. I feel like I'm staying at a weird aunt's house. The windows open but there are no screens on mine (second floor), so outside bugs can get in. The AC works, vaguely. It is clean, but it is what it is: a cheap motel. Psalms up to whether I'd stay here again. read more

This is the highest rated motel in town, but I didn't like it much. The place was clean, but it had a lot of problems. The water was murky (like there was soap dissolved in it). The beds were loud. The curtains could not be closed all the way, so people walking outside could always see inside. There was no soundproofing so I could hear the guy upstairs and the water in the pipes. It was the cheapest motel around, so I'll give it 3 stars. read more

My wife made a mistake when booking with this hotel. They told me to call the booking company since it was charged thru the booking agency. I called the booking agency and they talked to the hotel. They told me the hotel charged the room and refused to do anything. When I called them back the lady at the desk said " sorry we charged as a no show and we were 100% booked and held the room. Found this online after making a few stops on the main highway off I-90 west, and all had no vacancies. This was off the track and this was a great fine. Nice price, clean rooms, & near a nice and pleasant Mexican restaurant. Linens were fresh and they even had double vanities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. checking in nightmare, wrong room, then given keys for an occupied room that looked like a drug den, then keys that didn't work for the right room, after coming back after a LONG day out we were locked out of our room as a form of communication that we had to change rooms, my wife having a bathroom emergency was waiting by the door for me to come back with a new key while I argued with the staff about this frustrating situation and the RUDE women that was telling me we had to move started talking to the next person to approach the counter. Once I got the door open so my wife could go to the bathroom I went back to the office where I told the woman that she was "F" ing rude for how that was handled, and since I used the F word she was throwing us out and going to call the police.. her only defense was that she made me a key without showing my ID (my wallet was in my hand) and then pointed out that they made keys for us without showing ID once before, this is true and worrisome as they had given us keys for someone else's room as well... read more
