I ended up going with a soup and salad combo and got a half lobster/crab bisque along with a half shrimp avocado salad. Prices were decent, less than $15 for my meal (there were upcharges for some items). I enjoyed my meal and found it pretty filling. The soup was nice and warm and had a pretty good seafood flavor. The salad was fresh and was nicely dressed. I was pleasantly surprised by Newk's and glad we stopped in. It's nothing mind blowing but definitely hit the spot on a long, rainy drive. The BLT spread seems like a mayo spread with chopped bacon, tomato, & herbs. It was really light and good. My husband loved his SHRIMP PO BOY. He said the breading on the shrimp was delicious & bread was good. Our only regret was not getting fries or onion rings to try. There are several tables to eat i side and a couple right out front. There appeared to be several locals coming in to pick up food while I was waiting about 10-15 minutes for our food.
