I walked in planning to spend maybe 20 minutes max just to buy a few souvenirs, snacks, and a few things to take home to my kids and family. Shortly after I walked in, I was approached and told I wasn't allowed to be there because I came in a semi truck. I explained that I was only going to be inside for a few minutes to buy a few items, but I was told they would not allow me to purchase anything. I was also told, "Unfortunately truckers are not welcome." Those were his exact words. That was extremely disappointing to hear. Truck drivers are a huge part of what keeps this country moving. We deliver the products businesses sell every single day, including the products sitting on Buc-ee's shelves. To be told we're not welcome and not even allowed to make a purchase is sad and frustrating. Because of this experience, I will never return to Buc-ee's again, not even in my personal vehicle. I'd much rather spend my money at a truck stop or any business that welcomes everyone and appreciates the people who help keep America moving.

We pulled over at a Buc-ee's and called a tow truck through Triple A. Jeff came to get us a couple hours later and kindly took us to a motel down the street (literally less than a mile) because we were uncomfortable with driving it in that condition. Jeff was super friendly and even waited for us to check into our room at the motel before he unloaded our car. Once unloaded, he gave us really helpful tips on how we could get our car taken care of first thing in the morning along with giving us his card/number. He even proceeded to text us the next morning at 7 AM to let us know he would be there at 730 AM to pick the car up. He arrived on time and loaded the car up and took it down the road to have it looked at early so we could get on our way. The people at the front desk were cordial and the other Jeff that worked on our car was very helpful and friendly. I didn't feel like anyone was trying to rip me off even though we were essentially stranded. Honest mechanic and staff make for a trustworthy business. I would 100% recommend them for any auto work or tow issues. They never tried to up sell me or pull any tricks even though we were in a bad situation in the middle of nowhere. Could have taken advantage of two young kids but instead just restored my faith in humanity and kindness. I had bad spark plugs and needed them replaced. Everything was done in an hour and a half and we walked out saving a lot of money. Thanks Jeff and Jeff for your help. We truly appreciate you helping us celebrate our New Years by not being stranded in Madisonville.
