Brookshires in Athens, I was a usual curbside service customer, but after 1 too many things getting left behind and their great service tanking for the past few months, I decided to start shopping myself, the employees are nice and friendly, prices are reasonable, my only complaint is my wife said you have to feel around in the bathroom in order to get to a stall, in translation: it's dark in there, and one light doesn't even work. We've been shopping at Brookshires about 4 years. Went there because they had good ciabatta and artisan breads--no longer! It is now company policy to scan your driver's license when you purchase beer or wine! You can't just look at the license????? We do most of our shopping at Walmart now! read more

Bought a pot pie, cost 6.48 dls. Big fat pie,nice looking crust. Open crust ,there hardly any ingredients inside, total,rip off. Then I got a rotisserie chicken and a drumstick was missing, totally laughing at this point. Wow. Horrible products. Won't go back there. read more

I have shopped Brookshires for 20 years, mainly because of the Deli. That love affair ended today. I went for groceries and all Deli meats are now Brookshires brand. I bought Olive loaf and Beef Bologna, both were absolutely disgusting ! My dog turned his nose up. They both went into the trash so will have no choice but Walmart. Why don't you have someone test the product before you make a change like this. I am confident you would not eat a sandwich made from this 'whatever' it is that you call bologna and olive loaf. Ever since Brookshires changed their pharmacy to Walgreens it's been a nightmare. We were patient through the changeover but it's actually getting worse as time goes by. It worked flawlessly when Brookshires ran their pharmacy, but now it's totally broke. read more

This place is kinda pricey. The bread and other supplies there is pretty good I guess. But it's usually filled with white people. And because of that, people of color get uncomfortable vibes from being watched the moment they walk inside the store. read more

I just stopped for gas, & it was $2.62/gallon for unleaded gasoline. I didn't go inside the store, I just stayed out at the has pumps. But I don't have any complaints about it. I would stop there again in the future--either for gas or for going inside for groceries. read more

Came all the way out to this Brookshire's for a flu shot. Beverly and everyone working in the pharmacy were so kind and so helpful. I really appreciate how much time and effort they put in to helping me. They really went above and beyond and their customer service is great. Awesome customer service, healthy food items, affordable prices. Quick too. They take items out of the grocery basket & the next time I handle them is into my house. I love the terrific service. Saving my back & getting out in less than 15 min is well worth the $5 extra cost than shopping at Wal-Mart. Best of all, the choices are healthier. The whole grocery store looks clean and we'll stocked when I visit. I expecially like the delightful produce section. You couldn't ask for better customer service. The employees are all smiles and eager to assist when asked. I was so pleased to hear the management compliment an employee for display work done very well. That attutude reflects on the entire atmosphere. I save on the cost of my groceries with my loyalty card and earn points to save on my fuel. I have to wonder if the five star reviews aren't Brookshire employees. While this is the best we have in Tyler, that's not saying much. The range and quality of the offerings pale in comparison to, say, Central Market in Dallas. Additionally, I wouldn't call the prices "low." Tom Thumb in Dallas has both better selection and pricing, though we are happy to pay Central Market pricing to get the sekection. Two stars is about right for the Tyler location. For Flint and Bullard, one star would be generous. read more
