This one is a bit hidden, as it sits behind a lot of other shops and stores, just look for the sign, as the building itself is hard to see from the street. It's a small one, it's a one entry building, not the 2 or 3 entry mega boxes in the large cities, this is small and compact. The store was clean. For a Tuesday night it had a LOT of teenage kids huddled up in crowds in the middle of the aisles. Not the stores fault, but an inconvenience. This one is set up very similar to other locations. Entry on the grocery side, pharmacy and housewares to the left, clothes in the middle, electronics in the back. Staff was busy, a few actually greeted us and asked if we needed help finding something. Part of the small town charm, that interaction is rare in our larger town. Hidden small store, only one way in and out, yet it has everything (that we saw) that the larger boxes have.

They have a…read morewider selection than Walmart, for completely reasonable prices and go way beyond the regular light beer "yellow colored water" that most convenience stores carry. These are more the type of beers you would expect to find at a nice bar. Obviously they also carry all the munchies to go with the beer! They also have a nice selection of wines at good prices, especially Yellow Tail, which is probably the best budget choice for good wine. I would definitely recommend this store if you live in Eastland or are just passing through.

It's home cooked food, calories-not-monitored, but worth every single bite. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I knew it was going to be good when we saw the parking lot was overflowing into the grass. Luckily there was still an open table inside and we were welcomed by the sweetest staff and our waitress was just as wonderful. So many things looked good on the menu, but I couldn't resist ending this road trip with another taste of chicken fried steak to compare to Mary's (and they can definitely compete because it was AWESOME)! We also tried the chicken fried chicken (delicious), sweet potato casserole (amazing), Mae's potato casserole (tasty), cheese sticks (good), and the hamburger and fries which was obviously delicious enough that my picky daughter almost finished it - which says a LOT! We were very glad that we'd ordered the "smaller portions" for lunch because it meant we could grab a few of the desserts to go to snack on for our final leg of the road trip and keep enjoying at home. We tried the toffee cake (incredible), peanut butter cake (sinfully good), and the coconut pie (very light and creamy)! Their "Texas Kitchen " has food to go or dine in. I had not planned on doing breakfast here, but they offer huge portions of well cooked food. I got a breakfast plate which was so generous I could not finish it all. The employees are friendly and helpful, even taking your groceries to your car. They also offer curbside pick-up. I have been in several other smaller United grocery stores which were great, but this one is much larger and offers more. At home we have an excellent grocery store popular in Texas and known by three letters. But if this United grocery store was in our town I would shop here.

It's a Walmart. Some of the employees are really nice and helpful, some are rude and clearly don't…read morewant to be there. They finally added a self check out lane, so that's cool. The deli service has improved greatly in the last couple of years. Sometimes, when an associate is sweeping, the isles, they make me feel like I'm in their way. I don't like that. It can be difficult to get service in the electronics department. What you really have to watch out for is the other customers, some of them really don't understand the concept of watching where they're going, be it in the store or in the parking lot, they will step right out in front of you with no hesitation. They treat that buggy they're pushing like it's some kind of magic armor. Like I said tho, it's a Walmart.

This property is always clean and well maintained. Every department seems to be organized and stocked. Lots of open cash registers and excellent customer service. The way the masa is made now without the added shortening and salt, the tamales are way to dry and the masa crumbles after heating the tamales.
