Walked in and the place doesn't look like it was cleaned from the previous business day or maybe longer. There was random food in the food cases that looked sketchy. The coffee/espresso machine looked dirty along with the rest of the kitchen area. There are tables and furniture all over the place. Books and games shoved in places and then random silverware out. Look I am all about having a comfy place to stop and have coffee. But this place really needs to stop and re-evaluate what is going on here with everything. I ordered a caramel macchiato and could only get the small. The guy making the drinks said after so many the machine over heats so could only do the small. It was not good, not sure what was missing but the flavor was terrible. I would not go back to this place in the state that it is today. If I was looking for a coffee place (non-chain) I'll head to Winnsboro or Quitman for the two coffee places available in both of those cities. Good luck to this business I hope for their sake they get it together and last.

We walked into this charming café in the afternoon, just before closing. I asked for their most popular cheesecake, and I was lucky enough to meet Laura, the owner. She kindly guided us to the best choices and even suggested the most cost-effective way to sample a variety of flavors. And the cheesecake? Absolutely the best I've ever tasted--rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. When she learned we still had a two-hour drive home, she thoughtfully packed our cheesecake with ice packs and even included extra samples for us to enjoy later. Her kindness and hospitality truly made the experience special. The café itself is beautifully decorated--clean, cozy, and full of classic East Texas charm. This stop turned into a highlight of our trip. I would absolutely drive two hours back just to visit again and try their brunch!

My husband and I went to this cute little bakery the other day for lunch. We just happen to have called them on the day they made their chicken salad sandwiches. First of all, the decor was absolutely delightful and it was very clean. We enjoyed our time there and are so glad we stopped. Neither one of us were crazy about the chicken salad, we both give it about a 3 1/2, but the croissants were very fresh. We did try three of their desserts, one of them being a strawberry cupcake . My husband really... Enjoyed it and said he would give it a 4 1/2. He said it obviously had a real strawberry in it, that it was fresh, and it tasted good. He is a snickerdoodle fan, but this time he tried the caramel doodle cookie. We've had their snickerdoodle cookies before from a meeting I went to and we both really liked those, but he wasn't as crazy about the caramel doodle cookie. I took a chance and got the lemon cookie with cranberries and pecans, the icing and the thought of the cranberries and pecans was alluring to me, but honestly I did not really like it very much. It did not taste as fresh to me as the snickerdoodle cookie I've had before and I'm just not a gargantuan lemon lover, so the combination was just not appealing to me personally. They do have a pecan cream cheese fudge that my husband and I absolutely love and we would give that a five hands down. I tried that dessert at another coffee shop that this bakery supplies and I highly recommend that. The owner was very nice, the bakery itself was quaint, and it was a breath of fresh air and a pleasant dining experience.

I think she could see the disappointment on my face because she went to the back and brought me a delicious cookie.
