Thursday morning we went to your store and bought 2 Ribeye steaks to cook on the grill for dinner while we packed and got ready to depart on Friday. We were really excited to try them after seeing your business advertised all over the county. Unfortunately our excitement turned to disappointment. Our steaks were not of the quality we were expecting. They were tough and somewhat dry. The sweet potato was very good but that was not enough to justify the $55 we spent on 2 steaks and a sweet potato. My husband also ran back in and grabbed a $12.95 rub for the steaks. What makes this field more special than most is that the Bergsbaken family opens up to the community to share in the beauty of the blooming sunflowers. They create trails to walk through the field and strategically place platforms so you can capture the just right photo of sun/sunflower. The field remains open to the public for as long as the flowers are in bloom. One special weekend the farm fully opens to the public and really lets you in. On this one July weekend there are crafts for sale, trailer rides, food to purchase, kids activities and of course sunflowers to purchase. The Bergsbaken family puts out a free will donation box and asks you to make a small donation in order to take part in the sunflowers. This is a sight to behold and in this socially distant world of 2020 what could be better than a walk with a loved one amongst something as bright as a few thousand sunflowers.

We then headed over to the play area where they have oodles of imaginative play spaces setup with a little village that included a restaurant/vet/town store and then there's a barn and little house with tons of stuff inside of them for the kids to enjoy. There's also little tractors and tricycles for the kids to ride, push mowers, rocking horses. Tons of spots for adults to sit while the kids play (in shade too). They also have a very cute out house with a nice potty AND changing table with a real sink which is such a nice touch for families. Staff was fantastic and the price is so reasonable for all you get. We will absolutely be back!

I love apple cider donuts, but Wisconsin is known for its cherries. I was not a fan of the cherry donut sample I tried. I did end up getting some coffee, jelly, and dried cherries to take home. They have lots of home decor items and cherry donuts that are deep-fried into chips, which I did not try. You can also get a cup of coffee, and they have lots of pie and baked goods. Prices were pretty typical for these types of stands. $3 for small items and $10 for larger canned items

On top of a small hill, you'll find the store and orchard. Stop in the store and get directed to the right orchard and bags for your pickin's. They are very nice and tell you how to pick the ripe and ready. I went for the sweet Honey Golds.. "make sure there's a pink blush on one of the apple's cheeks" I didn't know apples had cheeks! They were easy to spot and pick. AND TREE RIPE SWEET. They also have Macintosh, Cortlands, with twenty other varieties. I didn't have time but you can sometimes also pick fresh produce products ... strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, sweet corn, squash and pumpkins. Pick your own apples & vegetables or buy at the retail store. When you've picked your lot you go back into the store to weigh and pay. Stock up on their locally raised Angus beef or buffalo meat AND OF COURSE spicy Sheboygan style brats too. (beats the heck outta Bavarian or Stadium style) YOU BETCHA!

I approached a staff member behind the table where you pay and he had his head down on a phone and i politely said that i had a quick question. his head remained down and he sighed and replied with "just a second" very rudely. after, i said that i was just wondering if they took debit and credit cards and he replied with a "ugh yes" that had so much rudeness and an annoying tone underneath it. after that, i didn't even want to spend my money there anymore. disappointment!
