Broomstick has been cleaning our house for almost a year now, and I realized I haven't written a review yet! I love these people. Love, love, love Broomstick Cleaning. We have 2 large dogs, one of which needs to be crated during the day (indiscriminate chewer), and the other left in the same room so the first one doesn't bark. Does this bother the Broomstick crew that comes to my house? No, they happily let the dogs out to play while they're cleaning, and then put them back correctly when they leave! The initial consultation was thorough; they do specifically the things I don't want to do myself, and they do an excellent job. My husband and I were preparing our home for sale earlier this year and our realtor recommended Broomstick Cleaning. We called them and Bruce promptly came out for a free home visit to meet with us and take notes of what to clean. He is very detail oriented, asking specific questions and making sure he knows exactly what level of cleaning service you'd like. We had him do a deep clean so our house would show well. He also recommended vendors for other types of cleaning, such as a local window cleaner and carpet cleaner. Both of his recommendations were also top notch small businesses. At the first visit, our home was still being packed, so there were areas he couldn't see well for note-taking. So we put our preferred cleaning date of service on the calendar and Bruce scheduled another visit closer to our moving date. He did forget to show up for that meeting, but he apologized profusely that evening and came the next day instead (since we told him that would work for us). I believe that was an anomaly. He showed up, took notes, and asked specific questions such as whether or not certain areas would be painted (and therefore wouldn't need to be cleaned), etc. At the end of the visit, he provided a very reasonable quote. We were at work during the cleaning, but I went to do a walk-through at the end and was so impressed by the work done by Broomstick! The entire house looked sparkly clean and gorgeous. They cleaned not just the outside, but also the inside of everything: the cabinets, drawers, oven, etc. Bruce was there to meet me and was finishing up cleaning a few last things. Amazing customer service! Our house is rather large and there are definitely a few spots that would be easy to miss - Bruce noticed that his worker had missed a couple of things and he was busy working away when I arrived. He even came back an hour later with a vacuum to finish up a few of those spots, as he promised. He made sure I was completely satisfied with the cleaning before accepting payment. Cleaning the entirety of our 2.2K square foot house took just around three hours. We highly recommend Broomstick Cleaning - they are hardworking and do a wonderful job. We really wanted to give these folks a chance. Liz came out and did a really thorough walk through, and gave us a reasonable quote. The first crew was about 1/2 hour late, fine. While they were here, we were told several times that they were both trainees, and it was "the blind leading the blind." There were several things missed, but we talked to Liz and gave them the benefit of the doubt. The second scheduled appointment they were an hour & 1/2 late due to "a mix up." They were apologetic and asked us to look at their work prior to leaving. All in all an OK job, but we shouldn't have had to inspect their work for them. I have to say, they really did try hard. Today was the last straw. Were to be here "around" 9:00. After several texts / emails were were told there was a "mix up." One person finally showed up at 11:00. We needed to leave by 12:30, and based on past experience, we were not comfortable leaving her in our home while we weren't here. Unfortunately, we sent her away and emailed Liz the owner letting her know we would no longer need their services to which we received a snotty response. Extremely disappointed. I always had to do a second cleaning after they were here and even after I gave feedback things didn't improve. Felt they did just enough to get by. I've had my house professionally cleaned for close to 20 years and Broomstick is no where near the same level as what I've experienced with previous cleaners. read more

Bruce and his team did a great job on a short-notice(think 2 days) deep cleaning. He came over to look at our place and gave us an estimate which turned out to be exact. They showed up on time the next day and were very efficient. Reasonable pricing and they were great with our pups. read more

Nobody in the business better than Bruce and Lizzie. Here's why I give such high praise. First, they treat you as an important person--they show up on time or early, they listen, they work with you to make sure every detail will be covered. My mom has never had her house cleaned before so she was a little bit nervous. Bruce came out for the estimate and put her completely at her ease, especially after he quoted a super-good price. The cleaners came today and Mom said she was laughing because she hadn't known how dirty things had gotten till she came back and all her crystal was all sparkly-clean! They initially couldn't find my place, which was fine. They were only a few minutes late. They worked really quickly, which I initially appreciated. They were respectful and cheerful. However, they left several minutes early. If you're gonna leave early, I'm assuming you'll either charge me less or I should find that things are really spotless. But after they left I was disappointed to find quite a few areas still dirty. I did a post-cleaning, which is just frustrating. read more

I called for a quote. The owner man came late, without being prepared, then refused to give a quote because he said the 2 rooms he saw (living room & kitchen) had some clutter in it. My home is not a showplace, and I told him I have a teenager and a dog, and was just in a car wreck. It took all of 10 minutes to remove the "clutter," but he had left by then. Dumb f-- will never get my business with that attitude. His behavior was simply RUDE! read more
