I'm sorry, but this cleaning service did not hit the mark for me. It was VERY expensive with not good results. The entire booking and communication process was great. They have lots of rules about what they do and do not do. I find it quite confusing when you are booking a "deep clean" vs a routine cleaning. So I booked a "deep clean" which was 4 people cleaning my house. I was not satisfied with the results. The group of 4 was not even in my home for a full 3 hours (which is fine if it were clean). I do not believe they wet mopped the floors. Dust and hair remained all along the baseboards in bathrooms, items not moved on kitchen counter to clean, kitchen rug not even moved for "mopping," kitchen floor had dirty spots, cobwebs in corners of bathrooms, large wood slat blinds not dusted, an area rug in a bedroom not vacuumed. I don't understand what a deep clean means to them. This wasn't even good enough for a routine cleaning, IMO. Are you telling me a deep clean by 4 people costing over $700 for 2,000 sq ft home means you aren't even moving items on the kitchen counter or the kitchen rug to clean?! Outrageous! I moved items on the kitchen counter, and there was dirty and dust behind/underneath. You've got to be kidding me! I shared this with the company, and they were willing to come back out and clean the things missed. I don't want you to come back, I wanted it done the first time! Don't make me do extra work because you didn't do the original service. Also, they could not explain to me what their "deep clean" actually is. They also said a routine monthly cleaning for me would be over $700. HECK NO! EDIT after company response: I just don't think we are compatible. I understand the concept of a deep clean but not what it means for your company. It seems like the "routine" tasks were done by 4 people. And then the price would be the same for monthly. So it just seemed the same as a routine cleaning and nothing to make it extra clean for a deep clean. No extra things were done. read more

I've been using April Lane's for regular house cleaning since 2016. I switched from another company, because I got tired of inconsistent quality of work and how all my stuff ends up being rearranged on kitchen counters and bathroom sinks. I chose April Lane's because they try to assign you a regular cleaner as much as possible. They also asked me to prioritize my cleaning needs as well as tell them about my pet peeves, and every cleaner have respected them! I've gone through multiple (great) regular cleaners since, but my current one, Lynn is my favorite so far. She's efficient yet thorough, and frequently goes above and beyond to clean things I don't expect her to. It was such a lifesaver when she cleaned the bathroom ceiling for me to wipe off the mold that were starting to accumulate. They've cleaned 3 different houses for me, coping with my teenage children, pets, and changing requirements without fail. They train and approve each cleaner individually and apply a consistent standard so even if your regular cleaner is not available the same work will get done in the same way. They keep notes at the company level so substitute cleaners will still know not to touch the piano/move the appliances/pet the dogs/whatever. We've had every-other-week cleanings by April Lane's for a couple of years now. They do a great job, and I get the impression that it's a good company that cares about its employees and keeps them happy. They are great to deal with; no problems ever with billing or communication or schedules or anything like that. I think they have gone through some significant growth, so there has been some turnover in the individuals who come to clean, but they always let us know in advance when they make a change, and now it seems to have settled down so that we have a regular person, which we like. p.s. Just looked at some of the other reviews on here, and I'm impressed that it looks like they respond to each and every negative review and try to do what they need to to make every customer happy. This negative review is based on the huge disparity in the quotes I received; I did not even schedule them to come and clean my house. I called the office 3 weeks ago and requested a detailed quote for my townhome based on square footage and number of rooms to clean. I took copious notes and called Samara today to schedule. She gave me a completely different price quote that was 50% more than the original estimate that she emailed me. Pros: Communication was easy between myself and the office staff who schedule the appointments. Mostly via email, and called in a credit card number. Cons: I was surprised at how little got done in the 3 hours that I paid for. My apartment is about 450 square feet, wasn't that dirty, and all they did was dust, wipe counters, mop and vacuum the floors. Supposedly, they didn't have time for any "extras" and I was charged for the full 3 hours. Very, very, very disappointing. I've hired Merry Maids (Lynnwood) in the past and experienced much better, more thorough service. After moving to Seattle, I decided to give April Lane's a chance because of the good reviews they received here. I think that was a mistake and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have hired them to clean my apartment. read more

They were able to schedule me for late this week like I wanted, and gave me a really reasonable price for 3 hours of hard-core cleaning. Isela came exactly on time and was very sweet and efficient. She didn't catch quite everything, but my apartment went from total disaster zone to completely presentable between 2 and 5 PM.], and that's a feat. Bonus points: Samara told me over email that it would be easier and cheaper for me to buy new drip pans instead of having them clean them. I had no idea but seems how they're only $12ish at Home Depot, she was right. I really appreciated that she was wanted to save me money by using Isela's time as efficiently as possible. I couldn't afford to use them on a regular basis, but maybe you can. And I'd highly recommend them for an emergency/move-out/holy-crap-I-can't-show-THIS-mess-to-my-mom cleanup. read more

My dog has been frantic since we got home, trying to figure out what we're doing in an apartment he doesn't recognize. Since he can't smell himself anywhere he's been rubbing himself on the floor, making sure that I need to use this cleaning service again in the future. The jerk. Doesn't even pay rent. April Lane did an excellent job. The things they did well: - Great customer service. - Staff was friendly. - Apartment is extremely clean. My place looks so good I took a photo and some of my friends asked if they could roll around on my carpet for fun. My friends are weird. This was not easy work. There was dog hair everywhere that built up after my dog's fur broke my vacuums. That's vacuumS, with an "S." The bathroom was also out of hand, and there was a ton of dust littered all around the apartment. Right now it looks great. I'm extremely impressed. It's more of a 4.5 than a 5 though. There were still a few problems. There are a couple of cobwebs that I see and one of the windows was skipped, but whatever. I can get those myself. Also, they were way off on the estimate, and I gave them a considerable amount of information before they gave me the estimate, so I wish that had been more accurate. But the company did a great job, so I'll round up so that they get more business. Overall, I'd use them again, despite the extra cost. read more

After 3 years of living in the same apartment, there were definitely areas where I needed help!--especially the bathroom! Laura was prompt, super friendly and tackled a lot in the 3 hours she was here. Samara was super helpful according to my boyfriend's phone interactions with her. Laura went above and beyond in cleaning but also tidying up the apartment and making the apartment feel brand new again! Also, you fill out a priorities checklist to make sure your certain areas of your residence are cleaned and addressed. I definitely wished that I had called upon them sooner when my family visited last month. I highly recommend using April Lane's whether it is a regular monthly thing or a once a year thing...they are amazing!! :) It was $45 an hour if you're not a regular but definitely money well spent considering how much time you are saving from your attempt at cleaning and any other errands/events you can go to in the time they are cleaning! read more

I've had my house cleaned by April Lane's for more than four years now, and have nothing but good to say about them. In that time, I've had three different cleaners, each of whom was friendly, efficient, and thorough. One of the things that I really like about the company is how easy it is to scale and customize the service. I rent rooms in my home and I'm on a pretty tight budget, so I have the company clean the kitchen, bathroom, hallways, and living/dining/sun room every two weeks, but skip the full dusting and fingerprint-wiping treatment. I'm able to add on services on an as-needed basis (watering the plants, cleaning the refrigerator, etc). They're happy to use specific cleaning products that I provide (such as my special marmoleum floor polish) and take care to follow any special instructions that I might have. The main office notifies me of anything out of the ordinary, such as a substitute cleaner, a later-than-usual start time. They're also quick to deal with any mistakes. Once, the cleaner had a busy schedule and accidentally skipped our house. The cleaner and the main office realized it before I did, and gave us 50% off our next cleaning, just as a matter of course. Another time, I asked them to clean the fridge and the wrong fridge got cleaned, but they caught it before they left and cleaned the actual fridge, and comped me the time spent cleaning the other one. I also really like that I have the same cleaner every week, and that she's a real person with a name (hi, Liz! and Jessica, and Kat!). I try to be out of the house during the actual cleaning, but my cleaners have always gone out of their way to remember me and my house. Our current cleaner, Liz, makes sure to have the main office notify me if she's scheduled to come by early, since she knows it takes me a little while to prep the house for her (putting away dishes, changing out dirty bathmats, etc). read more

We contacted several different cleaning services, but of those who replied April Lane stood out by their clear, responsive communication. We ended up having them come out for an initial (deep) cleaning of our rather large house. Prior to the cleaning they had us fill out a priorities list of cleaning tasks, and naturally everything we wanted done was already on the list of standard tasks. The 3-person crew arrived at the appointed time, and all were friendly, cheerful and efficient. They completed the cleaning in 3 hours and we were pleased with their work. Afterward, the team communicated the scope of work to the operations manager, and she sent us a bid for regular on-going cleaning.
