However when ADS came to the house they notified me that the alarm will be separate from the CCTV. That means that ADS could only provide me with the alarm but then I'd have to go to another company to have the CCTV cameras installed. With alarm Illinois I get to have my alarm and CCTV all with one company. I had Dave the owner of the company come by and he surveyed my home and gave recommendations on what he felt would best protect my home. He provided the quote the same day and a few days later sent someone to install the cameras. I like that with any issues when I call I am able to get a human being and also can have someone physically come out to fix any things that are wrong. I also like the apps that go with the alarm system I am able to see my home while I am at work I can see someone at the door at the front door the back door and in the alley. I also like that I'm able to arm and disarm the alarm through my telephone. The OnStar technology allows me to notify the police or firehouse if there is an emergency through speaking into the alarm. Seamless way to secure your home and the precious ones in it.

When I called the owner, Sheila Haddad, to discuss these issues, she dismissed my concerns by boasting about having 20,000 customers and then hung up on me. This review is also about their tech support which we had to call for a lot in the past year: first to upgrade our system as we put it in 18 years ago; and then because we remodeled our basement so they had to come out a few times to deal with construction dust setting things off, moving motion detectors when walls were moved, adding new window contacts etc. Two of their service techs specifically are amazing: Gus and Mara. I feel extremely lucky when they send either of them out. Especially Mara. She stands out as being the most competent service tech - of *any company* I have ever dealt with. She assesses the situation, makes recommendations for better solutions, advocates for the customer if needed, and then executes the solution flawlessly, efficiently, quickly.
