Another is dealing with a municipality that demands everything to be done by licensed and insured contractors and has a list of their approved contractors but doesn't require them to show proof of workman's comp insurance (Orland Park). So right off the bat you're stuck either overpaying someone "approved" to replace a perfectly good deck or fence when all they need is some simple repair, or giving up and letting it stay broken. You can't fix it yourself because you're not an "approved contractor" and a lot of handyman services are just a guy with a truck. I found a flyer at my local Ace Hardware for these guys and saw they are both licensed and insured and on Orland's worthless approved contractor list. Communication was professional and they showed up on time to evaluate and give an estimate to do some work to the deck and fence. Our handyman recommended a deckover product for our older deck to help fill flaws and cracks. It's an older deck but still solid and not worth replacing yet. The product worked well and the work was done well too. He even suggested we go get the supplies to save some cash, which we did. He also installed a new fixture in the stairwell we've had for like three years because I couldn't figure out how to get up there to install it. We're happy with the results on our deck and light fixture install and looking forward to getting a few posts reset for the fence. We'll be using this service again for sure.

They did not have any issues in working with us as "do it yourself" remodelers and were willing to make adjustments as needed to install drywall in our 100 year old house. We contracted with Music Evolution on our recent gut rehab project...their professionalism, service, and thoroughness on the job was incredible. Tony Delgado and his team walked through the entire process with us...not only was his installation services outstanding, Tony also recommended the most cost-effective, highest quality components to purchase...can't imagine receiving that type of service from "Geek Squad". After the the installation was complete, Tony programmed all the components (even the universal remote) and provided several no-charge service calls after the job was complete to further assist us. My only regret was not involving Tony earlier in the rehab process to help design the AV install even more effectively. I can't recommend them highly enough!!!! I've been wanting to get cameras at my home since moving here a bit over a year ago. I don't even…read moreremember how I stumbled upon 606 installs but it was lucky. Another company I had spoken with had quoted me more than twice the price, I guess because the cameras they use are fancy or something? I don't know, because the ones Ernesto installed are great and doing precisely what I wanted. When I was on my search for home security cameras, I kept mostly finding things like ADT, SimpliSafe, or something else that was largely about selling you the monitoring plan; the equipment I think was less expensive but then you're paying for the monitoring. I am not generally a fan of the everything-is-now-a-subscription-or-service thing nor do I want to be beholden to whatever rates a company decides to charge. Some of those also were self-install options, which didn't interest me at all. They hooked up several cameras at our home to provide various views, including the basement since I wanted to be able to see what's happening down there when I'm upstairs. The system has a hard drive that can support up to eight cameras. We can save photos, videos, and also play back to see what happened earlier in the recording on the various cameras. Although they could have provided a monitor, we don't really have a place for it so we simply have an app on our phone through which we can view the cameras. I'm not sure why, but I thought it would go much more quickly than it did. I have no frame of reference to know how long it should have taken so that's not a criticism. It took about six hours total but having it done well was the most important part. I would highly the crew at 606 installs for their professionalism, reasonable rate, and excellent work.
