The best butcher shop in Butler for decades. I recommend the ham loaf or hot sausage.

How long to cook your stuffed steak?

Sorry just seen this. For future reference. 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes covered. Little water on the bottom of pan. 10 minutes uncovered, add gravy or cream of mushroom soup. Sorry for the delay.

How long should I bake the ham loaf?

About an hour at 350 degrees, uncovered. It will begin to get a little bit crispy on the top...and it is done!…

The chicken is delicious and you can taste the difference in quality in the beef, pork and other meats. My favorite thing about Dave's is their willingness to cut a smaller portion for roasts and also if there is not a cut on display they offer to get what you request. The freezer wrapping is just the finishing touch on the reason Dave's shines when compared to other stores in the area. I am glad I have a wonderful butcher close to home that for as long as I can remember continues to provide the best meat. Thank you Dave's and the outstanding, friendly staff. 10 gold stars!

We saw a nice assortment of beef, chicken, pork, turkey, kielbasa, bologna, burger patties, raviolis, vegetables, prepared salads, breads, pies, cookies, packaged grocery items (e.g., chips, nuts, and sauces), etcetera. We took a number to get in line for the deli meats. We chose a meatloaf, chicken salad, maple sausage links, and chicken patties. The total price was $30. The cashier promptly and politely rang up our purchase. We ate the foods at home. We thought that the foods tasted very good. Catering is also available.

The sizing of meat is often a single item (e.g., one steak) - so it is a good place to stock up the freezer if you're cooking for one or two people. Relatively pricey - but also high quality.

I purchased Canadian bacon (amazing), eggs, merlot steak, chicken breast (have not yet tried but will report back). I was honestly apprehensive about the meat being frozen, but I believe that they are flash freezing at it's freshest because the meat was the best I've had in a very long time. Who knows how long the refrigerated has been sitting around anyway... I used to pass the actual farm in Renfrew all the time and always loved watching how happy their cows were, roaming around free range on very tidy pasture. You can absolutely taste the difference in their meat! Happy well taken care of cows = delicious beef. Period. Chelsea was in the shop and she was so helpful and kind. What they carry: Every cut of steak! From the ubiquitous rib eye to the obscure; merlot or Denver anyone? Canadian bacon Ground beef Meat sticks Various meat sausages Locally made Soap Seasonings BBQ sauce Honey Butter I believe there was milk as well (Memory fails me now but there was more!) I asked about future provisions and they do plan on expanding into produce which honestly would be incredible. **Potatoes keep SO well and go great with a steak ;) I hope that one day they will be a full fledged little market which I have always wanted in this area! We have so many incredible farmers here in Butler county! I wish them much success! One more thing... prices are fantastic!!

Their Delmonico steak and hot sausage is some of the best I have ever tasted. I can always count on their produce being higher quality than most stores around here. It's a pleasure to shop there as it's always really clean and well lit. My favorite part of shopping there are the employees, the sons and their wives. Everyone is happy, courteous, helpful and genuine. Though there have been months between visits (health issues keep me home), they always greet me by name and for this elderly lady that's pretty special. You would think their prices are higher due to the quality, but they are really reasonable. Glad my son turned me on to Henry's, Mimi Hauss

Sausage, roasts, soup bones, meat sticks, chicken, stuffed banana peppers and mushrooms, and many other meats were available. I asked if they had bison. The person helping me said they only had a little bit left. She showed me more bison ground meat and steaks than I have ever seen in one place. She said they butchered a bison and this was all that was left. I stocked up. I look forward to going back and stocking my freezer. Note: They are closed on Sundays.
