I own a 2009 Toyota Corolla with low mileage. All maintenance has been done throughout the years. The car runs beautifully. Then, I noticed what looked like peeling on the hood and front of the car. The Toyota-applied clear coat was coming off , My car was starting to look so bad. A few people gave me names of local auto body shops No one wanted to touch my car because I had not been in an auto accident!! They explained their reasons to me, which of course, were all about money and insurance claims. I was, of course, going to pay for any work but, shame on me, I did not have an accident. Just wanted to fix to the clear coat and have effected areas of my car re-painted. Finally, I was given the name Brothers auto body in Cromwell. Problem solved! My car was beautifully repainted and new clear coat applied. It looks spectacular! No hesitation to give me a reasonable quote, no rejection because I did not have an accident. Just kind, professional treatment from all at Brothers. Special thanks to Sarah, Jacob and Brian for making this whole process run so smoothly. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! THEY ARE HORRIBLE! We brought my sons truck with a list of stuff that needed to be fixed including welding. They said they could complete it all no problem. After having the truck for 2.5 weeks we picked it up after being told "the truck is safe, I would let my kids drive it". No sooner did we drive TWO MINUTES down the road the truck broke down. This was right after my son paid $1700 to have fixed. Called the shop and Ruben didn't care anymore he got his money. The other owner came and pulled the truck back to the shop. Long story short after two more times we took the truck . Halfway home the engine light was back on and the truck was leaking oil and tranny fluid. Brought it to the shop and they couldn't believe the work. Wrong radiator was used so they put connectors. They were leaking. The brake line was wrong and the list goes on. THE BIGGES THING.... THE WELDING WAS COMPLETELY UNSAFE. IF MY SON HIT 3 LARGE BUMPS THE TRUCK WOULD HAVE FALLEN APART! we kept them posted and they asked for a receipt. No problem. It was provided and that was it....they have ignored us. We posted a Google review and they deleted it. They are awful! We are now going to take them to smalls claims court and are reporting them to DMV AND the department of consu.er protection. DONT DO BUSINESS. HERE. read more

I am tryi to get my car serviced and I've waited for 3 2 weeks and still didn't get a loaner. I need my car repairEd ASAP and the receptionist will not understand that I can't get to and from place without my car. my car has a dangling bumper that is very dangerous to drive. Brought my 2 year old BMW into an Auto Body shop in Middletown. Bumper got pulled away from car body by backing off a curb. There was no damage to bumper or car body. The Middletown shop asked if I had insurance and told me it needed a new bumper and $500 for electronics in the bumper. Total repair estimate $3,000. Brought it Brothers Auto Repair. They pushed bumper back in place and it looks like new. TOTAL REPAIR COST $50!!!! Highly recommended this dealer!!! Very honest company!!! read more

My new car was recently totaled (sadness!) and there was a lot of back and forth with insurance companies etc which took several weeks thanks to all the insurance company craziness and brothers auto was SO helpful in keeping me updated along the way and when my car was finally totaled the guys at the shop were so understanding to help me clear out the car. It was even the end of the day and they stayed a little later after hours to help remove my roof rack for me! I couldn't be any happier. I brought my car here at the recommendation of my insurance carrier after an accident. While it took a couple weeks to get an appointment to drop it off for repairs it was well worth it. The staff is friendly and helpful. They take their time to explain the whole process to you. They were very informative and kept me apprised of the progress and status of the repairs. The price was more than fair. They did an excellent job and made my car look good as new. As an added bonus my car was cleaned inside and out when I picked it up. I was so happy since I didn't find time to do it before I dropped it off. They handled my whole car rental and enterprise brought my rental there and I dropped it off when I picked my car up. The best customer service experience in a long time. read more

Very happy with Brothers. I hit my garage door and I got a quote of $1,300. to fix it, but Brothers offered me another option since I wasn't going through insurance and simply buffed it out and spot painted it all for $75 and it looks great. I will always go to Brothers first but hopefully no more garage doors jump in front of my car. read more

I came here because my car was having a leak somewhere in the drain of the sunroof and I was getting puddles of water in the front passenger side of my car every time it rained. Sometimes, so much water got in that I thought I was going to have the 6th Great Lake in my car. I needed a fix quickly because the more it happened the more damage would happened to my car. so I called them up one day and they took my car and were able to get it back to me that same day. The guys also vacuumed up the puddle in the front seat for me as I had no way to get all that water out. They thought they found the issue and connected a hose that came unconnected, but the next time it rained I was stuck with a bunch of water in my car again. I called them up, they were able to take my car as soon as I could get it to them and fixed the issue without charging me a second time. I have been driving my car and it has been raining and I have had no water in the car since! I'm very appreciative of this place. read more

Can't say enough about how well Brothers did repairing the front end of my car after an accident. They even painted the couple rust spots I had on the hood. The car is 13 yrs old and looks brand new. Embarrassingly, I've had to take my Honda Civic to Brothers three times within the last two years. (In my defense, only the accident last summer when I ripped the muffler and exhaust pipe off after backing into a rock was my fault.) In February I was rear-ended by a large SUV, and about 4 weeks later the entire passenger side of my car was slammed into by a Mercedes. I already knew about Brothers because of the repairs they did last summer, so once my car was practically destroyed, naturally I took it to them. They were wonderful; they handled everything including dealing with my insurance company (since the first woman who hit me gave me false information) and the other one with which I was not familiar. When I dropped the car off, the second insurance company was threatening to total it ... on a 2006 Civic, that would have meant receiving very little money with which to replace my car. Brothers performed a miracle by putting the engine back where it should have been pre-Mercedes and getting the insurance company to pay for all repairs and the rental of a really nice 2019 Ford Fusion for a couple of weeks. They are so pleasant to work with, and I can't recommend them highly enough! read more
