***WARNING***DON'T***GET***RIPPED***OFF*** Ok so I'll Start with What we Purchased and what we wanted and was supposed to receive and did not receive and why I warn you about getting ripped off. We came to Brothers boats because they were one of the few new Crestliner Dealers around and we wanted a new boat for Multi Species fishing vessel because we Fish mostly the Ca Delta for Black Bass, Striper, Sturgeons and Salmon, But predominantly Black Bass because I am a Tournament Angler that focuses on Black Bass and I Fish at least 1-2 Tournaments each month all over California and other States as well. So we decided to go with The Crestliner 1950 Fish Hawk with a Mercury 175 Verado that runs great so far tops out at around 45mph fully loaded wish it was faster so I should of went Bigger on the motor maybe but after all my Add ones for electronics and all that I was already sitting at almost $70K which is already nuts but this was going to be the Last Fishing Boat I would ever own My retirement present to myself, I've never owned anything like it before I was so happy and couldn't wait. And this is where it all goes down hill from here. I wanted all the top of the line Electronics on the market and It all to pair up to my 36v 112 Minnkota Ultrex with the iPilot capabilities so I went with a (Humminbird Helix G3N 12 Mega + Si) at the console and a (Humminbird Helix G3N 12 Mega + DI) at the Bow upfront with the trolling Ultrex Trolling motor that was supposed to also have the built in Mega + transducer & when the boat was all finally finished we noticed tons of issues. (1.) The Humminbird Helix 12 at the console was not Side Imagine not even Down imagine it was a G1N the oldest and the cheapest and only had gps and 2D capabilities even though they charged us almost $3000 for it and a hefty install fee even though it was the wrong one and they only sell for barely $1k even cheaper now. (2.) Same issue with Humminbird at the Bow the gave us an old Gen 1 model with only 2D Capabilities but yet charged us for the most expensive models on the market so they ripped us for over $3000 at least on those alone. (3.) Trolling motor Was also Gen 1 that only had the old 2D transducer & not the new Mega built in transducer like it was supposed to be. (3.) They didnt network all the electronics together with the iPilot system at all even though we were charged for it & had to pay extra on our own and did it myself, again even though this was all in the final price with all my add-ons. (4.) Never installed the new Mercury Smart Craft Vessel View which was supposed to be installed, so we can't see how many hours is on the boat or anything else, so again this is another added expense we will have to do on our own if we want it even though it was added and charged for. (5.) Bluetooth Stereo never worked & even after multiple repairs never fully fixed still shorts out probably because of inexperienced installation job or installer they have. (6.) Wash Down System Never worked. (7.) Large Livewell insulation falling apart before ever used. (8.) Terrible Installation job on just about everything they touched there at Brothers boats wires are all Clumped up and not cleanly hid away. In my own opinion I think these guys don't know much about Fishing boats and maybe they only focus more on recreational Ski boats Tow boats and such but I still wouldn't trust them on those either at this point because as of today they finally took back 1 of the Humminbirds and gave us a G2N DI Mega which is still not the correct one but they obviously knew they messed up and got all the wrong electronics I they upgraded 1 of them but not even to the correct upgrade we originally wanted and paid for and we still have the old model trolling motor and the wrong Humminbird at the bow. I just wanted what we paid for and originally asked for that's it even though they over charged for everything and charged install fees for stuff they never even installed and charged us for the Latest premium top electronics but gave us the oldest cheapest models available. Now I'm not sure if all this happened because they were scamming us from the get go or trying to over charge and take advantage of us, or if it's just because they have Zero to no knowledge about fishing boats and the electronics that go along with them but they even told me personally that they have never installed Humminbird electronics before that the only depth finders and gps sonar units they have ever installed before was Lowrance units which is strange to hear from a Dealer of Aluminum fishing vessels since Humminbird is one of the most popular electronic system on the market. So until my vessel is corrected and fixed how it was supposed to be I will not be promoting this Dealer but the exact opposite and I will be doing my best to detour business and help someone from making the same mistake of getting scammed or ripped off by this Dealer. So do yourself a favor and steer clear. read more

Took 10 days to get an exaggerated price from them. We got tired of waiting and went to San Diego and cut a deal and ordered a new boat with a different dealer in about 45 minutes from the time we stepped in the door. Finally,,, Brothers eventually responded with a fuzzy, over the edge price. Brothers were $40.000 to $50.000 higher than other dealers and had no clue on the options nor how to set the boat up. Their heart just isn't in it. Brothers wants to sell out of their lot weary and dated, depleted dealer stock. Forget ordering the boat ya want the way ya want it, it'll never happen with Brothers Boats. The boat we wanted is an all new design. The only way to get one is to order one from the factory. Our new cruiser will be delivered in early May at $50.000 cheaper than Brothers wanted. read more

I dropped off my boat to have the motor looked at because there were some issues. Diagnostic was quick and problem was resolved but I was not able to pickup the boat until today because of the holiday and the busy schedule this week. The problem turned out to be my starter cylinoid. I took the boat out on Folsom Lake today an she fired right up, and there were no issues. I will come back here to have any needed service done on my boat. I will also recommend their services to my friends. read more

This is where you want to buy your boat in the Sacramento area. We bought a Harris pontoon boat here about a year ago. The sales staff was great, and they made the purchase effortless. When we picked the boat up, they took a lot of time to make sure two boat-owning newbies had a good run down on owning a boat. Every time we have had a question they have been there by phone or in-person to help us out. When it came time to some minor warranty repairs and the annual service, everything was just as smooth. Now, just this weekend they yet again proved their commitment to their customers and products. We got out on Folsom Lake yesterday and launched... Only to find the water return wasn't shooting out water like it was supposed to. We called Brother's and as always, they over the phone did some troubleshooting. Well, we couldn't get it working so we pulled the boat out of the lake and drove down there. Even though there were no techs on site because it was a Saturday, the parts guy got a ladder and came out and helped us. He tried a coupe different things, and figured out that the spout was clogged with sand from one of the many times we have beached out boat in shallow water thanks to the drought last year. It started spitting out water and we enjoyed our weekend as we planned! Brother's doesn't just sell boats, but they stand behind their products with excellent service and support. read more

We are first time buyers looking for a combo-type boat. Met Norm at the Boat Show at CAL Expo this weekend, and he gave us some really great advice on what to look for in a boat, after first exploring our desired usage. Took us around their floor space to show us the differences in the various levels of boats. So many choices, but we were so impressed that Norm took the time to share his extensive knowledge with us. When it's finally time to pull the trigger on purchasing a boat, we're going to Brothers just based on our experience with Norm. They appear to be a very professional and caring company that believes in a lifetime relationship while providing high quality boats and service. We were very impressed with the Crestliner brand of boats and how they have so many adaptations within each specific style. After putting over $10k and a year and a half of time in dealing with a hwy50 dealer/shop with no success at getting our mercruiser running right for the water, we brought the boat to Norm at Brother's Boats. A few weeks and a small in comparison amount of money later, and these guys were able to trace back and locate the issues left/created by the other shop and get us squared away. Runs like new now. So, I've purchased two new boats from these folks. The first was 'off the lot' back in 2010, and then a custom factory order in 2012. Worked with Bob on both deals, who was a pleasure to deal with. Very happy with the process and price. Now fast forward to this past weekend, when I discover something wonky with my 2012's starter. Got a hold of Norm in the service department, and even though they're backed up he finds (1) a way to see me with no notice, (2) identifies and makes the repair in about 15 minutes, and (3) doesn't even charge me for labor. Pretty incredible, and why I'd reccomend them to anybody interested in buying a boat or in need of a repair or service shop you can trust. read more

AVOID, this place has gone downhill. We purchased a 65k Chaparral here in 2007, the salesman was fair and the first couple years we had service done was okay. Norm in parts has always seemed honest, wish he was doing the service. I do all the routine maintenance but anything that requires pulling the drive has been done here. The last time we had an engine alignment, the next couple of years had increased vibration but I assumed it was the prop. Also, there was always water in the bilge area, then gear fluid began leaking into the bilge. I had an appt to bring it back to Brothers but another mechanic could check it sooner and glad I did. Before he worked on it, I noticed the motor mount nuts were an inch up on the mounts. Whoever did the alignment at Brothers failed to bend over the locking tabs, so over the last few years the motor has worked its way down, way out of alignment, destroying the gimbal bearing, blowing the shift cable seal, causing the leak, and allowing the unexplained water into the bilge. What should have been a $1600 10 year bellows service turned into a $3500 repair all due to an overlooked locking tab. So glad I took it elsewhere, I dont expect I would have gotten an admission to the negligent engine alignment had I brought it back to Brothers for repair. read more
