We found that Galaflex wasnone kf the only companies to carry laminate by Finsa. Norman was the dealer who helped us throughout our process and he was super knowledgable, friendly and considerate. He guided us with picking out the right type of laminate and the items required to install the laminate. We ended up choosing Finfloor Supreme since it had a high AC5 rating for durability and it had an option to put in a sealant, which would provide further waterproofing to our floors. Norman was super great and kept our order of laminate in the warehouse for almost a year (with deposit) before we were ready to finally pick it up. Nice to have that assurance and reliability, and not find out it was later sold. After we picked up the laminate from a warehouse (not owned by Galaflex), Norman was really sweet and called us to make sure everything was okay and nothing was missed. Overall, great customer service and we are happy with our time with Galaflex. Thanks Norman!

The owner, Jason, mentioned that they stand by their work, but only for 24 hours. I work full time, and I was expecting that the service was professionally done, and that I wouldn't need an inspector to come in and review their work for us. I know a lot of people pass by these reviews, and don't think much of it... but please, DO NOT use this company for any service. They took advantage of me and my family, and I don't want to see that happen to anyone else. Please find someone else, anyone else, as they will do a better job than this company. I've attached a few photos that I took quickly at the end of my inspection. This is barely scratching the surface of how bad the job was that this company did for our $410 clean.

She fully and accurately explained the services provided, cost of the service, time frame for conducting the work, etc. Nothing was left unknown or uncertain when the women arrived later to do the cleaning. Rhonda and Shirley arrived promptly and set about to conduct what I thought was a very extensive and thorough cleaning. The work was first rate and for the very few things I wanted in addition to the tasks they were already performing as part of the agreed upon service, they conducted the additional work efficiently and with the same quality and care as the other work. They even cleaned a few more things that I did not think of and still were out of the apartment and onto their next job before I thought they might be. I felt that for the money charged, the cleaning package was very comprehensive and it was done fully to the standard I had asked for and expected. Brisas Carpet Care and Maid Brigade provide an excellent quality of service. Their rates are very reasonable but added value comes from the very high degree of customer service they provide.

Through this experience though, I learned that it would have been a good idea for me to ask them not to cover the couch with fabric until closer to the final payment. I realized that the original colour chosen would not work as well as I originally thought. I asked if I could change it and pay for the added cost. They were a firm no. So now I have a couch that I paid a lot of money for and it is alright in the space but not great. The quality is very good and I am happy with that. I wasn't happy that the sales staff did not inform me of added costs at the time of purchase such as delivery and unpacking the item. So, that wasn't appreciated. However, the delivery guys were AMAZING! "David the Great" and "Guy the Beautiful" who does charming poses were so helpful, funny, friendly and went the extra mile. They provided great customer service and redeemed my experience with this retailer. After all this, I'm not sure that I will buy from Brier's again. I feel somewhat disappointed with the couch and wish I had waited on choosing the fabric, though I'm not sure if that would've been an option.

Used this company for kitchen renovations about 6 years ago. We we're told the cabinets were made…read morewith plywood for the centre panels. We noticed swelling of the panels by the sinks and damage. It became apparent they used partial board. After several conversations with them and no accountability on their part ( it was our fault because we obviously spilled lots of water) we were told the " Shaker" style door panels cannot be done with plywood and they can replace them at our own cost using the same material. The communication was very poor and negligent. The owner responded to my feedback on their website in a very defensive manner. We found another cabinet company, Allstyle Cabinets, who made us new doors from Plywood. They match exactly and we are now confident in the quality.

A year prior to trying to work with Nader, owner of Canadian Home Flooring, the company was called Canadian Carpet and Tile. At the time I didn't know of the name change but when I did see it, after the fact, I found negative reviews. The name Canadian Carpet and Tile and reviews have now disappeared from the internet (company, has not been in business for about 5 years). In the last 2 years Nader has changed the name of his business twice more. Recently the name changed to Canadian Flooring & Renovations but Yelp doesn't have that change yet. Despite my complaint and others, the BBB gave Canadian Home Flooring an A+ and yesterday I noted the BBB has given Canadian Flooring & Renovations an A+ too. Beware!!! the owner of the company has not changed. He had 8 more cases booked in the courts during the 3 years I tried to fight him and after reading recent internet reviews, this appears to be an ongoing practice for Nader. I contacted 6 of the 8, all professionals, mostly women (a lawyer provided me with their names). All the situations were different but there was a common thread ie. added costs, intimidation, immediate threats to sue / put a lien on property, poor workmanship, refusal to honour his price guarantee and insufficient material ordered. I have also noted reviewers saying Nader didn't turn up for appointments (likely understandable - he spends a huge amount of time in the courts). I also met a woman (teacher), threatened by Nader. To get rid of him, she gave him the money he insisted on (and now lives with his poor work- manship). Guess this is what he hopes for and he sometimes gets what he wants because people don't have the time or energy to fight him. I fought him. I lost in Small Claims because he and his installer both lied, the judge ignored the wood manufacturing company documents of how my floors should have been laid, (but weren't), maybe because I was a woman (the judge called me an over-zealous and suspicious home owner, said I interfered with the contractor's work and was not an normal person). Also, the judge, brought from Criminal Court to clear Small Claims, likely didn't know contract law (information later provided by a lawyer). As a lay litigant, I was told I was not expected to use law but the judge would base his judgement on law. He didn't - he arbitrarily based his judgement on his own belief system. A lawyer said,"the judge likely saw you as a rich b.... from Kitsilano". With a heavy heart, I prepared to pay the judge's penalty (I had spent hours researching and preparing materials and had badly wanted to set precedents to stop Nader's unethical behaviour). Within the 40 days I had to make a decision, Nader wrote saying, "pay up or I will call the police who will take you to jail". I withdrew retirement savings and hired a lawyer. We knew the name of the appeal lawyer because we had gone before him prior to the actual appeal. The day before the appeal, my lawyer said, "we have a problem with the judge, he goes for the underdog". I thought I was the underdog but no, that would be Nader. (????) The courts are known as a game of Russian Roulette for a reason. The appeal judge refused the appeal for 2 reasons: #1. it is standard to defer to the trial judge (Small Claims) and #2. no law was brought up in Small Claims, (even though it was the Small Claims Judge's responsibility to use the law), so he wouldn't allow it brought up in appeal. My lawyer tried very hard but there was no way I could have won. B.C. Consumer Protection Laws are excellent, I would have been protected under them but it is up to the judge to use and enforce. There is a good chance Nader will respond to my post saying I'm lying or crazy, or the worst client he has ever had (which he has done before). If this is the case please contact a lawyer, find out Nader's history, contact some of the people and form your own opinion. My name will come up, you are welcome to contact me. I have learned a lot. I am definitely not suggesting you give Nader the extra money he demands but would suggest, if he threatens to sue and you can't afford a lawyer, speak for yourself in court but if you lose post, post, post about him. It cost me BIG time to appeal. I am still working, (76 a nurse), to replace retirement funds so that may not be a route you want to go (until we have judge accountability in the courts). It's very hard to keep up with Nader when he keeps changing his company name but there are more of us now getting the word out that he is not a good contractor choice.

Read reviews such as changing the price on you, putting liens and deficiencies not dealt with & much worse! The owner sounds horrible. I wish I had read reviews! Stay away from this unprofessional company! And 1 star is not true but had to pick it to post this!
