Got about 40 pounds of burger and some jerky and elk sticks. I've gotten more meat off of a deer! After charging me $620 to process, they brought out two boxes of meat! The last elk I got was smaller than this one and I got 3x the meat. I wondered when a guy came in and brought elk meat when I was turning it in to be processed. Well, I guess they'll be making a killing selling my elk meat. From now on, I'll just take it home and having it processed there.

I've been hunting in Colorado for 30 years and after having my game processed at AGP this year, I fully intend to use them again for the next animal I harvest. I can't speak to the 2 other reviews but I can say after filling truck fulls of ice chests with harvested elk for decades, this one didn't look or feel any different than the rest. I'll be back.

Please explain to me how a Colorado mule deer shot thru the eye only yields 40lbs of meat. It is BS. We yield more meat than that on a black tail shot thru the front shoulder. Cows harvested yielding 80lbs, cmon, no way. We weren't born yesterday. I've checked with multiple butchers and they agree. Perhaps Tony should check the internet on what typical meat yield is from big game animals, than do the math. Bottom line, we were shorted. Either their butchers are lazy, sloppy, or unethical keeping the meat themselves to make their complimentary beef stick. Whatever it is, it isn't right!!! If you happen to bag an animal on your next hunt and are considering taking it to AGP I would re-think it and save yourself the headache. I do not normally post anything, as I hate all social media, but I am so disgusted with APG that I am hoping this review makes them think twice before pulling one over on another fellow hunter. The market would only sell them a total of10 pounds of dry ice even though the market had a freezer full due to a delivery that day. That's 10 pounds for 4 pronghorn! My husband offered to pay for 10 pounds per animal (40 pounds) but the manager refused to sell it to him. When they finally accepted that 10 pounds of dry ice was all they were going to get, the manager yelled to the checker that they can't just by the dry ice, they need to purchase something else before they can buy the dry ice. I love that the cheese is mixed throughout the brat. Too many have a tube of cheese inside, and it always seems to make the brat greasy. Not these.
