My clothes dryer is about 12 years old and the heating element was not working. I figured it was…read morenot worth repairing and spent an afternoon researching what brand to buy. I went to one of the big hardware stores and spent forever trying to decide. I finally chose a new washer and dryer and when it was time to pay found out that my military discount did not apply and I needed to purchase new hookups for the washer ( hose attachments) and for the dryer (new vent) even though there was nothing wrong with the ones I had. When I paid the 1,572.00 for everything needed they gave me a delivery date 13 days away. What was I suppose to do for 13 days? I already had a huge pile of laundry as it broke 4 days prior. I called Jake Johnson appliance as I figured it was worth 35.00 to see if the dryer was worth repairing. Jake arrived the next day less than 24 hours of my call and repaired the dryer for $85. I was able to put the 35.00 towards the repair cost. For less than $100.00 I was able to save myself from further credit card debt 4 weeks before Christmas. I was impressed that when I told Jake that I had checked the dryer duct and cleaned it well with a dog groomer blower the day before and that the vent output in the backyard was strong, that he wanted to check it for himself after repairing the dryer. I was having a long term problem with the latch on the gate door to my backyard and when we had a problem opening the gate he said that the hardware had been installed improperly and was not lining up properly and he took the time to go to his van and get some new screws and took the hardware off the gate and installed it properly for me. Great customer service and reasonable pricing. Very nice and polite young man. I could not recommend him more. Very happy with this service.
