Staff was good here and matched up a replacement for us with fit perfectly as they have a pretty large selection. Who knew there were so many sizes and styles? Good location. Plenty of inventory for your home needs, Organized and aisles are well labeled with signage. Worst experience, do not order kitchen cabinets from them, only went with hd because of kraftmaid cabinets, person that placed order did not include installing...claimed we requested to install ourselves??? I'm in my 60s wife is 70s that is not going to happen . Her screw up is out problem and the manager, very condescending ( I'm sorry you misunderstood sir..) this is my 3rd kitchen with hd never had this issue before bait and switch cost of this smaller kitchen is going to be more than our old house in pa which is at least twice the size. This is the closest location to our home but still is like a 20 minute drive. We did not plan on purchasing anything particular but since we just moved and are doing a lot of renovating, it's always a good idea to check everything out. We visited the first time on a Sunday and it was super busy. There were so many cars in the lot, along with very bad drivers, and the store was full of customers. It actually felt crowded for such a massive sized store. I opened up a Home Depot credit card when we purchased our home because I knew we would be purchasing so many items and using their services for a good year or two. I had to pay off the washer and dryer combo within 6 months in order to avoid interest and when we visited here, my card did not have enough availability to purchase a stand alone freezer. We settled on a pressure washer. It was $100 and works fine. There was not much clearance in this store or fabulous deals for that matter. The store was chaotic and felt dirty but most home improvement stores make me feel like I have dust and dirt caked on me after I leave. I would like to shop here again, but maybe on a weeknight to avoid the chaos and crowds. read more

Delivery service was horrendous!! First time they tried, the dryer was defective. Then it took over a week to try again with the second one. I ordered a new dryer with vent kit. (Ridgid kit for 27.48). What I received was a tin foil hose that doesn't meet code for fires. I did not realize until after the drivers and install was done. My husband moved the dryer 1 inch and the vent fell off the back of the dryer. Then he noticed the holes and cuts in the actual vent itself. Then proceeded to look over what they actually did. Yike take a look at the pics i have uploaded. The vent attached to the outside wall area, also has holes in it. I ordered a Murray riding lawnmower online and scheduled delivery. The delivery was a fiasco and ended with the driver canceling my delivery because he was worried that the trees in the development would damage his truck, even though everyone else's trucks aka: UPS, FedEx etc. has no issues and run back and forth every day, this guy refused to do it. So I had to pick it up with a Toyota truck. So the whole process was problematic and most of the employees I had to deal with were rude and unhelpful to say the least, but Nate took control of my situation and solved everything. He was amazing and I am very grateful for his help. A happy ending only because of Nate. I'm happy to know that the HD manager is paying attention. Please know that half of the staff that I interacted with regarding this purchase were not polite nor helpful. The third party delivery service has more control over the process than you do, unfortunately. Fortunately though, the few good ones saved the day. read more

I am sorry there is not a well earned zero stars. I buy from Home Depot all over the country. Hands down, with no reservation, I vote Ocala the WORST store in the Country. The paint department is a "Dumpster on fire." If you bring in THEIR color and THEIR SKU number, they will provide a color (See photo) five shades off from the color on sample and online. Then, they will mix some black in at a feeble attempt to try and match. But some cans had two ounces of black and some had three. Oops! They sell paints called "Oops" that have errors. The whole department should have an OOPS sign over it instead of PAINT. End result? My house was two different colors! If you ask them to match with a sample, they can NOT do that either! Or by eyeballing it. My assistant had me on video and the paint person said over and over "I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do." I DO! Shop elsewhere! Managers are worthless. So lazy, they will not even walk from service desk to the department in question. I have ordered when it says: "In stock in store." I order curbside. I know it is too much for this store to figure out, so my assistant goes in. It did not say online half the order was coming in a WEEK. They get my money, then they get half an order ready! Paying my guy by the hour over and over and products are not ready. Yesterday, I ordered four handles for a cabinet. Two of them matched, but we're NOT what I ordered. One was what I ordered, and one was another mismatch. That is a 75 percent error rate on an order that has only four pieces? HINT! Check the drawers with handles in them, sometimes YOU or customers put back in wrong drawer. It is AlWAYS a frustrating array of disorder and chaos paired with idiocy and apathy. To my dismay, I will still have to go in for a few things, but I prepare myself with a vigor that can only parallel with a visit to the DMV. I suppose HD is OK if you're buying a specific thing and using it, but don't ever, ever expect an installation or competent delivery. It won't happen. We tried to have an over-the-counter microwave installed, and it was pure hell. First, they entered the wrong address zip code at the store. Because of that, the warehouse cancelled the order without letting us know. Then, they had to re-order from scratch at the store. The delivery, a week later, was badly damaged and I could tell that when they took the beat-up looking box off the truck. The store had to cancel and re-order again. Then, when they finally delivered on the 3rd try, they couldn't install because we have a tile backsplash. What? "Didn't the store tell you we don't do that?" NO! I even showed the store people a photo! So... 3 attempts to buy a microwave, 3 utter failures. Gross incompetence at every phase. read more

Yesterday I was choosing many things for a project at Home Depot's here in Ocala Florida and it took me hours to pay for everything, also a neighbor with his family who had 2 little girls, we left the purchase near the cashier with his authorization to continue choosing others things, when we returned to pay our cars were gone and no one knew how to give us an explanation and it was 8 at night, we had around 4 hours choosing what we needed and in the end we left empty-handed, I spoke to a woman about the matter young man who was in customer service, it's a pity I didn't take his name because he was rude and turned his back on me as if I didn't exist, I don't recommend anyone go to that store, it's better to go to Lowe's, they treat the costumer well, I hope it helps someone for future purchases, read more

The only reason this store has any saving grace is due to some of the employees. Employees which are actually thrown in the deep end by their management who under staff the store at the detriment of everybody but their own pockets. Need paint? Wait for 1 hour as 10 people wait on poor Tammy to slave through it all alone. Need the pro desk? Too bad, Caroline Tammy and Iris are godsends but there is no reason there should only be two people at the pro desk (if you're lucky) on a weekday morning. Half of the staff that were great workers have been dropping like flies over the years due to being stretched too thin. If you need to pick up a pallet of anything good luck as well, I've waited up to two hours for a pallet of material. But what do you expect when one guy in the entire store can drive a fork lift. I even witnessed an employee get hit by a falling object for the management to send her back out on the floor by the time I was checking out. I'm sure the profit margins keep management with no sweat on their brow but as for customer and employee experience this place is the kind of place God will use for character development if you've been praying for patience. read more

I will never buy from Home Depot again!! Spent several thousands of dollars 4 years ago on an appliance package. Also purchased the 5 year protection plan. This plan has been a nightmare! Last year, the dryer stopped and it took 3 months for tech from Tampa to service!! Yesterday the refrigerator compressor went out (had local tech check it), so now I have no refrigerator and after calling and filing a claim was told will have to wait for them to make an appt. This took an hour on the phone to file the claim. Then giving all the info they wanted, now have to go on line to continue. This is the letter that I just sent to the Corporate Headquarters of Home Depot, and justifiably so; Dear Mr. Ted Decker President & Chief Executive Officer,                         05/18/22 The reason for this letter is based on the most notable customer experience that we've had to date, and because it was so supremely over the top, we just had to take the time and give credit where credit is due.  My husband and I are in our 70's so we've been around for quite a while, and because we value good customer service, we look for these attributes. We met Philip G, in the garden section yesterday,  05/19/22 at the Ocala Florida store as he was in the middle of something, but  My husband Perry and I  were so baffled about what we needed and I'm sure it showed on our faces so Philip made an abrupt stop and asked if he could help us.   We were impressed with that first off because many times, we've seen associates just walk by as though we were invisible. Philip is kind, caring, supremely knowledgeable, perfectly professional, friendly, and embodies the most ethical core vales that we've seen in very, very long time.  Phillip is not only a valuable employee to Home Depot, but he is a coveted team player to his peers.  We know this by just watching and listening. If we didn't know any better we would have thought that Philip was a part owner of Home Depot because of his intense desire to not only help us, but to educate us giving us the complete package, and providing an extra value.   It was like he had this ethical obligation to make sure that when we walked away, all questions were answered, and our money was well spent, and our project would be a Home Depot success! We shared that our lawn was in bad condition, and we need to know what to do.  It was clear that we didn't know what we were doing because we were even in the wrong area.  Philp conducted our very own workshop because he taught us what to use and what not to use and why.  He explained everything in layman's terms, so that we could understand completely and also wanted to know if there was anything else that we were concerned about.   Philip explained what to look for and how to treat it.  This was major to us because we want to make sure that our spending is going to make a difference, and not just both wasted effort and wasted money. After all fertilizer has gone up substantially, and we are on a fixed budget. Philip also saved us money by teaching us the right way to get this project competed by using the right products, and without having to hire someone to do it for us. We are all living in a very different, and rather scary time in our Nations history, but to meet someone that calms your fears, and makes you feel like you are so valued, was not only refreshing, but we walked away thinking, we can't wait to return for another phenomenal experience and learning session from Philip.  We feel so confident that we can do this project, and win accolades of our neighbors as well. I will never buy from Homedepot again! I'm beyond aggravated with a fridgadaire stove I purchased that broke less than 4 months after I purchased it. It is under the factory warranty that have been giving us the run around for months over waiting for a part to fix the stove!! Fridgadaire will not take responsibility for their product and Homedepot will not help at all because it's not under their warranty it's been almost 3 months of a broken down stove in my kitchen no one will help out with! This store is an absolute joke. Placed an order online on Sunday night, when asked when we wanted to pick up we made it for Wednesday at 3pm. We never received an email saying that our order was ready for pick up, yet they took the money out of my mom's account. We went to the store and they had no record of any orders at first. Then they called the department and the department claimed that they were "too busy" to pull our stuff, but they weren't too busy to take the money out though!!! After all of that we wound up following someone from customer service across the store to pull the stuff in which she had no clue what she was doing and I wound up pulling all the stuff myself. First time I've been to a Home Depot's since I moved to Ocala and it'll be the last. Lowes is so much nicer and easier to work with. read more

After going to the competitor a few times, I appreciate this store so much more. Yesterday, we went to the competitor and literally, we laughed because we had to search for so long to find anyone that could direct us to the area we were searching for. I purchased a Refrigerator in November 2020 on Black Friday and because of the pandemic, I received delivery in March 2021. Home Depot kept me informed and updated the delivery date once they knew it. I understand the delay was caused by the pandemic. Once delivered the refrigerator met all my expectations. Wife and I purchased a Whirlpol refrigerator, washer & dryer on Dec. 28, 2018, from Ocala, FL. HD. Items were delivered on Jan. 5, 2019, however, the washer was damaged. Two more attempts at delivering the washer were made on Jan 18th & 26th, with the washer arriving damaged on both dates. Spoke with Home Depot management numerous times; however, they blame the vendor and delivery company, and refuse to do anything. Whirlpool and delivery Co. point the finger at each other. As of this writing, no one is willing to help us or find a resolution their inefficiencies and incompetence; however, Home Depot has sent us the first bill for payment. Home Depot and Whirlpol also refuse to cancel the entire purchase or issue a refund. This place is a joke. Beware!!! if you're in the market for new appliances, Shop at Lowes or elsewhere. read more

DON'T EXPECT ON TIME DELIVERY.......this store is a joke. Very fast at taking your money and promising delivery dates but when the items are not delivered they pass the buck and blame the suppliers. I ordered 2 Pedestals for my Samsung washer and dryer and a Fridge/Freezer.The pedestal's were supposed to be delivered they did not arrive was told that the order had been cancelled by Samsung and they would now be shipped to my home. 3 weeks later items arrived!. I had to contact customer service HQ to get things moving as the local store washed their hands and said it was out of their control! NOW my fridge/freezer. I was told I would get this on 12/5. HAHAHAHAH......should have know better. Again contacted the store when the item did not arrive. Was told it was Samsung's fault and I would have to wait to be contacted directly by Samsung! NO NO NO I PAID YOU THE MONEY NOT SAMSUNG I could have gone directly to Samsung but your the place of contact therefore it is YOUR responsibility to get this item shipped NOT mine!. This is the FRIENDLIEST and most helpful Home Depot I have ever stepped foot in! I was greeted at the door and asked if I needed help, the employee pointed me in the right direction. I was greeted 3 more times as I walked to the back of the store. Then I asked another employee for help to bring down a heavy product and he gladly grabbed the box, got me a shopping cart and offered to take it to the register for me. I went to buy something else and as I was walking over there yet another employee asked if I needed anything.
