The doctor visit is always long, the doctor whom I have my appointment is just great, she takes her time in checking you and helping along the way, but, to check in and have your file process, you need a whole day, to give you an example, my appointment was at 11:30am, I came at 10:30am and after register waited until 2:56 pm for them to bring me to the doctor's office, and I'm still waiting for the doctor. Update: Even thou you have to pay out of pocket for tests and exams, in order for you to get a copy of your records and tests in this location, they want you to setup a doctors appointment even thou they are primary doctors, not specialists, I complained to Florida state attorney and consumers affair last Friday ! read more

The most poorly operated medical office I've ever experienced. Repeated calls to see a doctor are not returned 90% of the time, necessitating an in-person hour-long visit. Just to make an appointment, not see a doctor. And for scheduled appointments, almost two hours was my average wait time (once almost three hours.) There's a couple of nicer and helpful staff members, but most seem sullen, unfocused and sloooow. Making me wonder if mandatory drug testing might not be a bad idea. Then there's the nurse's assistant who, taking my BP, out of the blue looked in my eyes and said "I'm into tall men." Hello lady, barking up the wrong tree! Even if it were the right tree that's inappropriate. I stayed with them because i liked my PCP (I had complained to her once about the long wait time -- she gave me the regional director's number. It went to a VM whose mailbox was full. Typical.) But stopping by in person yet again to have prescriptions refilled because calls were not returned, I was informed she left the office. Were she still with the office I'd give them two stars, but Margate Broward Health sadly earns their "eek! methinks not" rating. read more

I went for my annual check up and requested a couple of referrals, one that I need for very disturbing back pain, back in SEPTEMBER. The 1st of January is approaching and I have left them multiple voicemails in regards to my referrals and I have not heard back. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. I saw this Dr. Marybel Landrau, MD. 2 years ago. Just now getting to my review. I kept her business card. I was astonished that I was in the office for FOUR hours. I kid you not! I saw the 5 star from 8 months ago, so maybe things have improved. Never in my life have I been held up at the Dr. office for that long. I did not go back. Appointment was at 930 am (wasn't really busy) didn't get called back there for over an hr.. then sat in back room for an hr with not a single person to see for another hr. Spent 10 mins with dr. This is the worst medical care facility I've ever come across. The people there are cold & indifferent..there was only one nice girl who had some compassion. The worst part was the doctor who was nice but was either not experienced enough, didn't really care or was limited by funding since this is grant driven. We had to beg her to get tests for my husband...like she didn't take his illness seriously. She basically said if he gets sick go to emergency. Then they book followup appointments 2-3 months away. In the meantime, my husband got very ill, tried calling many times to get advice. They don't answer the phone & even if u leave msgs, no call back. Not once did anyone even doctor do a followup call or return any calls. My husband ended up in emergency twice and still no followup from doctor. We had to do all the research & legwork to get him some help. Thanks to the doctors at Coral Springs Hospital he was able to get started on some treatments. He still has a long way to go & I'm hoping he doesn't have to deal with this place again. I worked in the medical field before and have never encountered such poor handling of sick people. I know things change but this place is a nightmare. I have nothing good to say about this place & certainly don't recommend going there. Just to add insult to injury, the doctor has still not called back nor followed up even though she can see in the med records what's going on since it's all computerized. I feel the medical community and review boards need to take a look at this place and go over their practices & procedures as well as the doctors credentials, education and experience. Maybe they put poorly educated doctors in these places purposely since these facilities are for people that can't afford to pay for decent health coverage. What a sham & disgrace. 3 hour wait. Unbelievable. This is not fair and that's with an appointment. Do not go to this place.

For the love of Jesus. These people are the slowest individuals ever. Waited in the waiting room for over an hour for lab results, they told me I had to wait for the doctor to sign off on the results. ....An hour... For the doctor to sign off on a piece of paper. The front desk staff seems to have no patience for anyone and they have their noses in the air with such snarky attitudes. The absolute most frustrating thing ever is when people aren't efficient and have attitudes. Re-route to another health facility cause these people will waste your entire day. read more

I totally agree with the post by N.B. "Nothing good to say about this place." My experiences are similar. During my last visit my appt. was for 3 PM. I did NOT see the Dr. until 6:30 PM! Totally insane! There were only 4-5 people in the waiting room! There are only 1 or 2 friendly office personnel. There is one very rude older woman who refuses to provide me a free copy of my lab work. She said I would need to pay $1/page! Ridiculous! They buy reams of paper. She said it is company policy! Meanwhile, other personnel have provided me with a free copy of my lab work during previous visits. In other words, you are at the mercy of who you speak to. Waiting time is totally ridiculous! Avg. wait time with appt. before seeing a Dr. is 2-3 hours! NOTE: The Margate office is often near empty (4-6 people) during most afternoons. read more

Doctor Smith has been really great. I have had quite a few doctors and I feel she takes the time to listen to me and goes over everything that is going on. The wait sometimes is about an hour or two, but it is worth the wait. Also, I needed a referral for a specialist and between Detra and Dr. Smith they got it done asap. Thank you! read more

I give this place -5 stars. First off, Florida sucks for health insurance. I got full coverage in Louisiana for my cancer treatment but here... because I am not a single mother with a bunch of kids I don't qualify for medicaid. They are good at scheduling tests and collecting their money but when it comes to finishing the patients issue, they let you fall through the cracks. Doctors at the sample road hospital are amazing but here they are awful! It takes forever to just get in to see the doctor even when there are just a few people in the waiting room. Diabetic doctor wants to schedule meetings every few weeks because I guess she thinks adults can't be told just once how to eat to fix their health issues. Oh, it is to get people to pay every few weeks so they can get their money. I a month ago had a CT scan and a sonogram of my neck to see if I still have cancer and....... STILL NO FOLLOW-UP VISIT!! I had to go in and remind them and it was "woops our bad.." and scheduled the visit myself. Icing on the cake was a lovely letter stating that my now OBGYN is leaving. I just found a OBGYN to test me to make sure I am cancer free and now he is gone. The letter states "will be assigned to your care of follow you through your pregnancy"... I GAVE UP THAT RIGHT DUE TO CANCER!! Thanks for the generic letter and yeah, no number listed below so now I get to play phone tag. I wish I never left Louisiana... read more
