I have recently had outpatient surgery at Northwest Medical Center. The type of care they provide is five star across the board from checking in to check out. I want to personally think all the RN staff on the floor that did a great job with me thru the procedures. The procedure was so amazing that I had no idea when the surgery was happening only when I was in the recovery room five hours later. A few names that stands out among all the amazing staff which I can't remember all of them, but I want to personally thank Doctor Jackson, Dr Terrazas and Alison Carameros you guys are incredible and I thank God for you. I would also like the thank the nurses/staff of the 4th floor especially Adeline, Lormie, Richard and Maryann (food service) and Sylvia (housekeeping). HCA Northwest Cardiac Care Hospital. 1. Checked in at Woodmont HCA Hospital Emergency at approximately 6:45pm for cardiac pain. 2. At approximately 11:00pm Woodmont Cardiologist recommended I be transferred to Northwest HCA Hospital because they are a cardiac care specialist. 3. At approximately 2:30am they admit me to room 433A. 4. At 5am a Cardiologist MD comes to see me and mumbles something and leaves. No plan of care. No clear communication. 5. At 8am still no communication about a care plan. Nurse tells me I have been scheduled for a stress test. 6. After a frustrating night without sleep and chronic pain and fatigue I decide that Northwest HCA is not where I'm going to receive the level of care I expected. So i ask nurse to preñan AMA release. 7. Still no MD shows up. Nurse explains and I ask to speak to an MD. Nope, that's not happening at Northwest HCA. DONT LET THE PRETTY LIGHTS AND SHINY FLOOR FOOL YOU. Northwest HCA is not about care and service and communication. It saddens me the lax employee culture. Yesterday at work, I was driving a company truck and a person rear ended me! Ambulance took me to Northwest hospital A nurse asked me what happend and I told him that a car hit the back off my truck, and he said you felt that I was like yea my neck feels stif! I got X-rays and he came back said there is no fractures I asked for a cat scan they refused and release me saying I'm lying! I wouldn't come here even if I was dying I gave birth at this hospital, and my postpartum experience was one of the worst experiences of my life. I did not feel physically or emotionally ready to be discharged, and I expressed that to the staff. Instead of feeling heard or supported, I felt dismissed. The way I was treated by the managers, Carissa and Kris, left a lasting impact on me. During our conversation, I was told that I needed to leave because other patients were waiting to deliver their babies. That made me feel like my recovery and well-being no longer mattered simply because I had already given birth. The days after childbirth are an incredibly vulnerable time for any mother. Compassion, empathy, and respect should never stop once the baby is born. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. This experience has stayed with me and has affected my postpartum journey. Instead of looking back on the birth of my child with happiness, I remember how I was treated during one of the most difficult moments of my life. I sincerely hope this hospital takes concerns like mine seriously and provides better support, communication, and compassion to future mothers. Every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for not rushed out the door. Please do better. Mothers and their babies deserve better. read more

Horrible experience with security guard Merlene. She has no empathy or charismatic. She gives an attitude when is not needed to have someone like that greeting customer is the worst experience to go see my newborn niece. She needs to be reminded she is working with patients. Nobody likes to be at a hospital just because, but this security guard needs to have more patient care since this hospital provides good patient experience and with the experience from yesterday I'm like wow. I had a scheduled C-section on January 9th, where I met Victoria, my L&D nurse, who was incredibly supportive and caring. She was in the process of training a former NICU nurse (I missed her name) who was transitioning into an L&D role. They were both compassionate and patient, especially as this was my first child. Victoria allowed me to hold on to her while the anesthesia nurse inserted the spinal anesthesia. I was the biggest baby because I hate needles, but Victoria's patience never wavered. Once the baby arrived, Victoria quickly grabbed my phone and took some amazing photos of the baby, dad and I. I was then transferred to the maternity unit for a few days, where I met Marshelle, my day-shift nurse, and Donna, my night-shift nurse. I also met Dawn for a few hours on my last night there. I was blessed with consistent, excellent care. Donna was truly one of a kind. She has 25 years of experience, and it showed. Her care for both my newborn and me was exceptional, reflecting her expertise. Her calm, laid-back personality and attentiveness to my baby made a significant impact. This was my first child, and I couldn't have been more blessed with the experience. P.S this is my providers preferred facility to deliver and I see why. read more

My father recently was admitted to this HORRIBLEEEEE HOSPITAL!!!!! The nurses and pct's are very rude and lack tremendous amount of care, kindness and communication skills. There was not one good thing I can say about the 5th floor except the Nurse at night Cherline. My dad left the floor with a skin tear on his arm due to the lab tech pulling the tape off his arm and his skin went with the tape. I asked for my dads nurse on the call light and no one came, so I was standing at the front desk looking for my dads nurse and the charge nurse asked me if I needed helped , I said yes and I told her what happened and she said "well i have patients of my own and they are my priority, so I said and my dad is not a priority". I said give me the supplies and I will be my father's nurse since his own nurse does not want to help stop the bleeding and take care of the wound this hospital caused due to a staff's negligence. The lab tech never said sorry and did not go and find the nurse to take care of his bleeding arm. My dad was ordered for an EKG so I asked the male Ekg tech to help me pull my dad in the bed and he gave me the dirtiest look . Not one nurse or doctor listened to my fathers lungs or did a head to toe assessment for his entire hospital stay. No one ever checked on my dad to see if he ever needed anything unless I or my mom asked for something. One of my dads day nurse's left the urine that was collected by the sink for over 3 hours, and I had to ask her 2 times if she is going to send it to the lab before it goes bad. The PCT's never asked to change the linen or help my father bathe his entire stay. Environmental service NEVER cleaned the room in his entire stay. My dads blood pressure was high so I asked the PCT to tell the nurse and she said she does not have to because the nurse will see it in the computer. I said to her thats not unexceptable because who knows when she will look at the vital signs. I went to look for the nurse and was unable to find her, so I pressed the call light and after almost 8 minutes someone answered the call light I told them what I needed and they never responded back, so after an hour I went to the desk and asked the nurse to message the doctor and she did. After 2 hours passed I went back to the desk and asked the nurse did you hear from the doctor she said no, so I said are you doing anything to figure out what to do for my dads blood pressure. Her response to me was she put her phone in my face and said see I am doing my job and said see I did message the doctor. And I said well since he hasn't responded after 2 hours don't you think you should call him. Then she called him and I said I want to speak to him so she gave me the phone. I informed the hospitalist Dr Baksh all of my concerns with the lack of care of all the staff and their nasty attitudes. He apologized and stated he will tell the Nursing Supervisor. Rounding should be happening and with a purpose every 2-3 hours and none of that was done on the 5th floor. I asked to see the social worker so she came the morning my dad was going to be discharged and she was standing outside my dads room in the hallway while I was talking with Dr. Baksh and I said can I help you and she said to me "I am the social worker and you asked for me". She had a very nasty attitude and Dr. Baksh witnessed it. I am a nurse and I would never ever treat a patient or family members the HORRIBLEEEEEE way we were treated at this HORRIFICCCCC hospital. I will make everyone I know well aware this a TERRIBLE hospital and the HORRIBLE stay we had!!! If I wasn't around at all my dad NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN PROPERLY CARED FOR!!! The discharge lounge at this hospital is horrible also. The nurse had my dad sign 2 papers and never went over his actual discharge paperwork with him. On the discharge paperwork it states my dad was supposed to be on medications the Doctor ordered in the hospital and never received them or asked if he wanted them. The paperwork stated he was supposed to have Colace at bedtime, lovenox injection daily,Fe sulfate twice a day and never was offered these medications while he was in this hospital. I hope this NEVER happens to another patient and their family!!!!!! I will NEVER EVER recomend this hospital to anyone!!!! read more

****ALERT***ALERT**** Who ever said Northwest Medical Center wasn't one of South Florida best in hospitality. Idk what it was like back then but they got it together. Coral springs hospital is closer to home but I took this journey from the way I was treated. When some say they rather travel the extra mile for good service even if it's in the same field I agree. I was wheeled in a wheel chair half dead to the E.R. I'm diabetic A1c 14 (400s) as soon as I came in I was logged in quick. Did the prick thing, then vitals. After that blood work. So the 1st floor nurse really took care of me professionally. Took my jacket off took my sock off and gave me the yellow cool socks best part was the warm Now it's on! 2nd floor I was transferred into my room. Then hooked up like I was on a speed way race track. They acted fast. They treated me like a high end luxury car shop the entire team there was amazing I only remember the lady with the blonde curly hair she was really nice and informational with me. Now here we go... 6th floor took the spot light but again the entire hospital is the star. Marcia: bless her heart dealing with me not sleeping at night she's amazing funny and is great assistant Ty: she is a great night crew leader. The way the handle a situation my last night there shows she's a leader and deserves her position and a raise. Beverly: super funny, loves to laugh quick on her feet great ear and positive feed back. I respect for that Curry: she's on the move but still make time to help. She cares for her patients and listens Faith: She runs the show. She runs an amazing team and does it well Baksh: This is the man. If the hospital was a college he would be the 5 star financial advisor. He educated me on certain things.He took his time and didn't run off. Matter of the entire team does that unlike the other hospital s that run off like they clocking out Ashley: super friendly approach. Very observational. Gentle with words quick with the prick. Dixie: The best for last. The is professionalism at it's best. Who ever hired this young lady saw a winner. This nurse has an ear and is informational. She can put a skeleton back in its closet. When your scared she takes that fear away she takes her time and doesn't waste time. The other hospital are like scattered ants rushing all over the place The kitchen Crew wins: Best hospital food ever. I swear they need there own take out . That's a hidden gym. Anyone who's left a bad review simply doesn't have patience. This hospital's care team is tremendous, I would always come to the ER whenever I would get a bad skin infection from training and when my wife got pregnant I chose no other place but HCA Northwest. If you show patience and care to the staff they are more than supportive to you and those you came with. In the margate/coconut creek/Coral Springs area this has to be one of the best hospitals to go to. It's insane that it has such low ratings in yelp, when my experience over the last 5 years has been nothing but superb. I always leave this place with a smile, and in a better mental and physical state than in which I originally arrived. Thank you to the HCA staff for all they do! read more

horrible experience at this hospital, the nurses were in the halls laughing and faking to throw water at each other while I'm constantly asking where is my doctor after she put a needle in my arm, they kept telling me that they are not my doctor and they don't know where my doctor is, mind you I have been there 5-12 nobody was doing anything other than a short dark skin man with a low cut that actually spoke to us while everyone else ignored us, I finally got one of the lady's to take the needle out my arm after she sat there ignoring me laughing with another nurse, I dont think anything should be funny when there is people coughing left and right. read more

I have no problems with the type of service received with the Outpatient Department. They even offered a % discount if I paid upfront. So I paid upfront and saved $59. But yesterday I receive a bill for the $59 and then I call them to ask why I got this bill. Now I realized that this was because of the supposed discount the billing lady gave me for prepaying. Now the lady at this Collection Department says I have to wait 30 days for the to straighten this out. My point of this is the fact that they should have a code for prepay to avoid all of this hassle to begin with. Imagine a Senior citizen (which I am), getting this bill and just automatically paying for it or them sending this to a collection agency to ruin our credit? TMI warning! I had an emergency this past Monday, 3/29/21. Some parts of my visit were great & some were not-so-great, hence my rating. I woke up that Monday with the most horrific pain in my stomach area, my back, & even vaginally. I had my mom take me to urgent care where I wasted 2 hours just being told to go to the ER. No testing, nothing. The pain was a 10/10, & I've never rated my pain that highly (unfortunately, I've had other medical issues so I can compare). So we went to the ER around 3:30 PM where I scanned my ID & showed my ID & ins card. No one asked me if my name matched my bracelet, so by the time it was noticed it was my maiden name, I mentioned it to EVERY SINGLE PERSON I saw. Doctors, nurses, the people who come around & take your insurance info, you name it. No one ever corrected it. The doctor who checked me in was Dr Begleiter, & he was not nice. I will explain more about him later. I was sent to "fast track" (where I was for 7 hours lol), where blood, urine, ultrasound (which ended up being transvaginal :/), CT scan, chest X-ray, Covid test were ordered/performed. If I were to base my review off of the fast track nurse, Edwin, it would have been 5 stars. He was kind, funny, considerate, & beyond knowledgeable. He is a huge asset to Northwest. Which was why it was so surprising when a couple of admins came in & questioned him accusedly about a patient in front of all of us, which I found highly unprofessional. He handled it well even though the women stalked out of the room when he was in the middle of speaking. He didn't let that affect him at all. Lots of respect to him. All of the radiology people were fantastic as well! Once I got a diagnosis, I asked Dr Begleiter what was going to happen, & he said, "I don't know, I'm not a urologist". Really snarky. Also once I was leaving fast track to be admitted overnight he told me the wrong thing was wrong with me. He said I had a cyst on my left ovary and a kidney stone on my right side & I asked if the cyst could be causing the pain on my left side & he said "We don't care about the cyst". He was wrong anyway, I had kidney stones on both sides, in addition to the cyst. Around 11:30 pm I was finally sent upstairs to be admitted to potentially have surgery the next day. The hospital was pretty full, so luckily I had my own large room to myself on the 4th floor. Unfortunately, I sat in that large room for well over an hour until a nurse finally came in (a young black man, don't remember his name, he was very shy and very sweet though). While I was waiting, there was an older lady moaning & yelling HELP ME, HELP ME for most of that hour, which I heard through my closed door. I even left & went to the nurse's station thinking that they must not hear her, but they said they were aware & were "trying to take care of it" & seemed totally unconcerned. Um, OK. Another weird part was no one ever gave me a gown to change into, which was fine since I basically came in in my PJs, but it's just weird that all of the nurses & other people didn't care I was in regular clothing, which I stayed in for over 24 hrs. I slept as well as I could (went to bed around 2) & then at 6 am they played weird 80s music over the loudspeaker which was bizarre. The other annoying part was my IV had stopped working due to low battery and was beeping EVERY SINGLE MINUTE & no matter how many times I mentioned something, no one cared. They claimed they were "looking for another" but I don't think so. I didn't eat breakfast because I thought I would be having surgery & didn't want to screw anything up (& have to stay another night). The food person was such a sweetheart! I didn't end up seeing the urologist Dr Sachedima (the younger) until 11:30 AM & he briefly told me what was going on & my options, which were to have surgery the next day or be sent home with pain meds & schedule outpatient surgery with him. In hindsight I should have stayed, but we were supposed to close on our house the next day, & the pain had gone down so I opted to leave. The closing ended up being pushed back anyway.... I didn't leave until 7:30 PM!!! So 8 hours to be checked out. The nurses seemed surprised I was still there & asked if a male Dr came in to check me out & I told them no. He just forgot about me. Around 5 I started complaining because it was getting ridiculous & they said they would call the female Dr who could permit me to leave via phone. That never happened & she wanted to see me in person which was stupid - I already had my prescriptions & instructions from the urologist. They stopped giving me pain meds & the IV ran out of fluids, I turned it off (13.5 hrs of beeping) & no one did anything. When I finally saw the female Dr I told her my pain was coming back and she said someone would give me Toradol (which never happened). I just wanted to leave, luckily pharmacy filled my RX even though in the wrong name!! Crazy. read more

Spent a couple weeks 10 days in 1CU and a week in 4th floor. I can't say enough good things about the staff from nurses to aids to cleaning people, cafeteria helpers, to the transporters, shout out to all, this hospital deserves all the stars they can get. read more

I don't even know where to begin. I had right flank pain and went to the er. The er staff were great from the dr to the orderly. I had an appendectomy the next day. Was in extreme pain linger than one would have expected. I'll say right here the only ones who do the real grit work are the pcts and the food service workers. The nurses are self-regulated to giving out meds and spend the rest of the time uploading info and scrolling on their personal phones. The multi-cultural issue was a problem too. I get that people are trying to be nice, but all the affirmations of affection were annoying to the point that i had to speak to the charge nurse. There was no physical therapy as promised. I had to walk the halls myself alone. And the surgeon? Well, I get that he did his job technically, but I think that he expected a round of applause. My attending dr was great really listened to me. So, in the end I say real thinks to Maryann Rosalind Patrice Francois and Eugene in security and Franny the wonderful nurse intern. Nest time I get sick Im taking an uber to Cleveland Clinic in Weston. read more

I was admitted to the hospital with cardiac issues. I requested cardiologist to have cardiac CAT scan performed vs cath procedure which is more invasive. By the time he agreed and scheduled the procedure CAT scan machine was broken that day. I ended up having cath procedure performed after which I was informed that bypass heart surgery is the only solution. Surgeon who would perform surgery didn't make an effort to speak to me the day of the cath procedure nor the following day to explain why bypass was needed vs stents. If surgeon (Dr Johnson) couldn't make time in 2 days to speak to me about the procedure and explain why it is needed then clearly I am not going to trust him with the major surgery. I requested to be discharged and now going through various cardiac tests to determine best treatment plan at reputable hospital. read more

On Wednesday night 3-26-25 I took my wife to the Emergency Room at the Margate NW Medical Hospital . She was having abdominal pain and passing lots of blood in the toilet. The Emergency staff was excellent. 3 hours later she was admitted to room 616. Unfortunately, this stay was a disaster turning into the worst hospital I have ever gone into. The communication and caring of the staff was a joke. I returned to the room after going home to get some sleep the next morning and a doctor had visited my wife who had not eaten any food in 4 days and was delirious with a headache. My wife was ringing the "Help Button" for 30 minutes and actually hearing it ring in the nursing station because she needed help to get to the restroom. The nurse assigned to the room actually told me that they heard the bell but she was in a meeting. Are you kidding me? The nurse assigned was also questioning her as to what the Doctor had said to her rather than asking the Doctor. Later on another female doctor claiming to be a Gastro Specialist visited her and then again another doctor came and said that she would be discharged. This doctor gave some advice about having a bland diet at home like rice, pasta, toast and stay hydrated. So why 40 minutes prior to this last visit was she served Roast Beef and gravy as a meal? We were also told to see a Gastro Doctor as soon as possible yet the hospital claims to specialize in Gastro. So we waited another hour for the discharge papers and wheelchair and in the meantime another nurse comes wanting to take a few vials of blood. I said "what are you doing we are waiting to be discharged". She actually told me that there was never proper communication within the staff. I went to the nurse station, and they told me that the last doctor forgot to input the discharge into the computer. Meanwhile my wife relieved herself in the toilet with blood again. What a coincidence that in the elevator we said hello to a visiting stranger and without any conversation he said that this was the worst hospital that he has ever visited.. My mom fell at work and fractured her patella. Since she stepped foot into the hospital the staff here made this unfortunate situation as pleasant as possible. The staff here is amazing. Everyone from the surgeon, anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, the nurse who wheeled my mom to the OR, the security, the charge nurse each night and day. Everyone was amazing. Clean room, food was pretty decent for hospital food as welll. Maryanne who delivered the food was another great personable human. Sarah the charge nurse was 10/10, Josie the OT was wonderful as she helped my Mom shower, Sam the PT, Dr. Ramano, Dr. Thomas the DO, we encountered so many healthcare professionals that were just top tier. My apologies if I cannot remember everyone else's name. But I would recommend this facility to anyone. Even just walking in the halls everyone was friendly and helpful. My mother was here from Wednesday July 3rd to Sunday July 8th. Thank you to each and every individual we came across. read more

I had a great experience while at this hospital. I was very pleased. The facility was very clean, my room was big and had a huge flat screen TV. The staff was very attentive, caring and friendly, from the moment I checked in and during the pre and post operation. I can't remember the name of each nurse, but each one was WONDERFUL! Even the food was great! Thank you, Marianne. She provided me with all meal options. I opted to have salmon and broccoli for dinner, breakfast was made to order and so was lunch. I was impressed! This Review will be an ongoing review since my family member is unfortunately still at this hospital. I would like to start by saying if anyone has had an elderly loved member here please read, if not please read before you do My mom has been here for the past 3 days. I Don't live in Florida so i depend on the calls of the nurses that are caring for her. the two things a hospital is fully committed is to provide the medication required and great care to the patient for the success of a full and positive recovery. We as the family members rely on the doctor's expertise and knowledge and until now I see consistency in the group of specialized doctors and hope this continues until my elderly family member is discharged. The day-to-day care of your loved one is in the hands of the nurses who should have the utmost care, compassion, and dedication to the patient Unfortunately at this hospital, this is far from what these nurses have been. When calling to get an update you either hold for over 20 minutes and they either disconnect the call or say you need to call back. When you finally get to speak to the nurse or the head nurse, the level of unprofessionalism and lack of empathy is beyond. The inconsistency responses you receive when you ask basic but important care questions of your loved one, has the patient eaten? or has been bathed? has the bed been changed? The response should be accurate since everything should be logged on the patient's chart. So this leaves you with a huge concern: how is your loved one being taken care of and treated? When you look to take the proper steps to escalate such a concern to the Head Nurse of the floor or a patient advocate, that title is clear that they oversee the well-being of each patient, or when you try to reach the patient or access director, You will end up exactly where you started. So I ask you what do you do ? I have concluded that our elderly loved ones are not dying from the illnesses that were brought in but from the poor lack of care and negligence of certain nurses. I know that most of these posts are done after the experience since most feel this might affect the care of their loved ones, but I wanted to. bring some awareness and hopefully, it will help you to make the right decision for your loved one. read more

Horrible experience with a pediatric by the name of Debbi. She made very uncomfortable comments towards the newborn babies and I'm not sure she realized she was in the presence of someone bilingual. Someone who is racist to innocent babies should not be working there. I hope the hospital takes precautions. I recommended my dear friend to deliver her baby there but regret. read more

Horrible hospital sorry to say! My partner sat screaming in the ER over an hour before someone came to see him, nurse or doctor. Someone said "Will someone shut him up!!!!" I asked some who worked there if she said it. The whole desk yelled at me!!!! The whole hospital needs sensitivity training. I was escorted out of the room as I wouldn't apologize!!! First let me start off by saying this is one of the worst hospitals I've ever experienced in my life && I don't want what happened to me done to someone else. When I called for the nurse they took their time && when I was having contractions they was rushing me to have my baby && kept checking my cervix area at the same time telling me if they keep checking me I can get an injection. My husband kept getting kicked out of the room. One of the nurses kept rolling me over back && forth saying that the baby heart rate was dropping so I had to have an emergency Cesarean section. The Russian doctor was all about a check not about my health. It was too much going on from 06/06/24-06-07/24. I could've lost my life behind losing sooooooo much blood. They end up giving me a blood transfusion because how much blood I lost && I have anemia so my blood was low && they kept taking blood from me before I went into labor && didn't know how to take blood so i'm gonna share the pictures of how my arm look after && now I have to deal with the pain which is the worse by far. Nursing staff is great, Administrative is horrible. Unfortunately I've been in and out of this hospital multiple times due to a loved one and each time it has taken HOURS to get anything done administratively. read more

On 3/9/2024 my daughter was hospitalized. This hospital does not care about people. The ER doctor Dr. Sergey Tsekhanov DO, was abusive to her and physically put his hands on her face and threatened her. I reported it to the hospital and the manager of Risk Management wrote the wrong doctor down in the letter I received as I mentioned I always have bad experiences there and last year was Dr. Garrett. If they cared they would have reviewed their cameras and got the right doctor that I did inform them of. That tells me they never did any investigation and dont listen to people when they call since they got all the info mixed up. I have filed a police report and filed complaints to the State both of the doctor and the hospital. Unacceptable to abuse anyone and especially with a disability. The hospital does not care and will treat you horribly. read more

The hospital put my husband in this bloody bed when we entered this is unacceptable for an emergency room BUT Dr kushner was the greatest!!

If there was a rating lower than 1 star i would give this poor excuse for a hospital that rating. Hospitalized for just over 3 weeks, my best friend was stripped of his dignity and reprimanded by an aide as I sat by his bed. Nursing staff was distant and indifferent. The indignity he suffered is not acceptable care in this country. He is 88 and back in a different hospital. Beware of life threating ulcers. Morganna the night nurse was covering for my nurse Keisha who was on break and also amazing to me, and my arm started swelling and hand as well. She kindly went and got ice for me, and explained how it would help, that I needed to elevate the arm and that she would explain everything to Keisha! Her assistance made me feel safe during a scary moment. read more

My father went into this hospital and never came out. We were not able to visit him. He did NOT have Covid. He was a 91 year old man dying needing his family by his side and they would not let any of his immediate family members in. We asked multiple times and they blew us off. Nine days he was in there and then he passed away with out anyone by his side. It is something that will scar us forever. There is no forgiveness for this and is unacceptable. We had a situation that needed more than MD Now could attend to on the weekend. It wasn't something we could wait for so off to the ER we went. The parking lot was insane. After dropping off my husband and circling many times in the parking lot, I got lucky and found a close spot. People were literally creating their own spots. I thought when I got to the ER the waiting room would be overflowing, but surprisingly whoever owns those cars was not in the ER area. We got in super fast. They have a security check of your bag and a metal detector. At least you feel safe! My husband had checked in while I was parking and within minutes we were walking back into the ER. Our nurse was nice and they had a productive process down to not have questions overlap in wasting time or breath. We really liked our doctor. He was kind and everything moved pretty fast including an ultrasound, results, and discharging. We live close to Holy Cross, but we aren't a fan of that hospital at all. I called my aunt to have her recommend where she would bring her children, and I have to say we had a good experience. I will also say the ER was eerily quiet. You could hear a pin drop which just felt weird. I'm a very private person so I didn't like being able to hear other peoples questions, answers, and personal info. I'm equally not sure how you get away from that with only curtains between areas. Maybe some light music so it's not so quiet. If we paid our co-pay before we left, they gave a 20% off discount which was only available at that moment. Of couse we took it! Huge surprise and much appreciated. read more

My grandson was in a freakish accident along with my Daughter when an 80 year old woman lost control of her car and barreled through the Dollar Tree in Pembroke Pines. Four surgeries later, and as a child has the incredible ability to be, Dylan is in high spirits in this picture despite the fact that he has 2 more surgeries to go. It's thanks to the wonderful bedside manner of the staff a Joe DiMaggio Chilrens Hospital. I would not take my children anywhere else! read more

After reading all the reviews I was a bit nervous about coming here! My experience was absolutely wonderful! All the staff and nurses were accommodating and very caring! The doctor was great and the hospital was clean. From my experience I would highly recommend this hospital! read more

The worst experience I have ever had with a health care organization. My wife broke her Tibia right below the knee a week before the appt. Had to get X-rays then scans before the surgery surgery scheduled for 730am, arrived at 7am payment and paperwork completed Was then told that we were not on the Doctors schedule Doctor rearranged his schedule to do the surgery .... We were sent home and told to come back for 11am. Arrived at 10:15. Wife was in a lot of pain, no medication for pain unless the surgery Doctor prescribed, since he was in back to back procedure's he would not prescribe until he saw here even though he had all the scans and medical reports. 14 hours after our scheduled time they finally did the procedure ! Avoid this facility at all costs ! read more

The absolute worst, unprofessional hospital in Broward County. Went to this horrible place after being in an automobile accident. They literally triage me in the freaking waiting area, how many HIPAA violation's was that. The registrar asking all type of personal questions in front of everyone. This place is comical at best. I was never taken to the back, which was strange but I guarantee my insurance will be billed top dollar. I will definitely be filing a complaint with The State of Florida. read more
