After another half an hour, 1 hour has passed in total; called, picked up after several dial-tones then hung up. This Taxi's Customer Service is very rude and would highly recommend to use any other service (Uber, Lyft, etc.), if possible. If i could give "no stars", i would however THIS is the lowest possible rating unfortunately.

I don't mind cab vs uber when uber is busy but I will never make that mistake again. You should know the costs upfront not be surprised like that. It was 14 miles.

Again no car there and we had to call multiple times to even get ahold of anyone. Once we finally got someone to answer the phone, they said it would be another 20-30 minutes before the driver would arrive. The whole point of a car service is so you don't need to wait. When I got in, he started driving and he kept pressing buttons on the meter and told me it wasn't working. He said it was only $23 (my hotel is 1.7 mikes away from FLL) So I told him to take me back to the airport so that I could get a different taxi because I needed to pay by credit card. Then the meter magically started working. By the time we got to the hotel the meter said $8.85. I paid with my credit card but he got angry and said it was a $23 minimum. And we argued for a bit. He was getting angrier and more intimidating and I was getting scared so I just added a 13$ tip to make the total charge $23. I would not have expected such a scam from a taxi that I got from the airport stand. Especially since I told him from the beginning that I needed to pay by credit card. I'm sure I'm not The first person to have this happened. Do yourself a favor and get a Lyft!

They gave me a business card with my taxi # and a phone number which goes to a 'curbside management' company.... The card says all taxis are required to operate with a functioning credit card system. When I tried to pay, the driver said he would have to call his dispatcher to authorize the credit card... I tried calling the number on the card to complain but it was taking too long so he got the EXACT fare in cash. Driver was very weird. We used hand sanitizer after entering the taxi and he began yelling that he was "smelleeng sumteeng stwong" . If he doesn't know what sanitizer smells like at this stage of the game, thats an even bigger problem than hustling for cash. Save yourself the aggravation and do Uber or Lyft.
