This Salon works if youre a male looking for a trim or an older lady with short hair who needs a color retouch for her roots. Or Hannah Montana loose curls that were popular in the 2000s. I moved to the area 1.5 years ago from Long Island. It seems like every girl upstate takes 1-3 balayage classes and calls themselves a "specialist" or "expert" in blondes. In this Salon youll find older stylists who use hair techniques popular 20 years ago, and the younger stylists who clearly arent experienced enough to have their own chair based off the one class they took. Words cant explain how badly my Stylist Mia messed up my hair. I went in for a correction and explained thoroughly what I needed and expected. I asked her to do a hair strand test MULTIPLE TIMES. I also asked to see a picture of what she thought she could accomplished in my hair. Didn't get either. After spending 6 hours there I left with worse hair then I walked in with!! THIS IS THE MOST UPSETTING PART. I went into this Salon because I was unhappy with work from another stylist, it wasn't until I walked out of Nuance that I had a mental breakdown in tears because of how bad my hair looked. This was a result of not doing a proper consultation, not being a skilled enough stylist to work on my hair, not listening to clients needs. I was there for 6 hours because she used 10-15 developer when she needed to be using 10 or even 30 in some places. I was charged $200 and left a $40 tip in consideration for the time spent. I left with my hair wet hoping it would look better when it dried. The next day there was clear animosity (I don't know why, I am a customer looking for an issue to be rectified) Mia gave me an hour of her time and said she could not give me any more time, despite the fact I was still not happy. My hair looked better than the first time she worked on it, but it looked almost identical to what I walked in with trying to correct. I told her repeatedly I do not want blonde chunks in the front and for some odd reason that's what she did. If she didn't feel comfortable working on my hair, or that we could accomplish what I wanted - she couldve been honest from the beginning. When I asked for partial refund cause I was not happy she blocked me lol. If youre looking for amazing hair, color correction, or a new look - Stay away from here. An updated salon on the outside, and on the inside ran by outdated and mediocre stylists. The main focus was the hairline, the rest of my hair was already lightened. This makes it harder to find the next stylist, once your hair has been botched. Eventually after I give my hair a break I will have to pay another stylist for a color correction & Balayage. When I called out their clearly shoddy work, I was blocked. Tells you all you need to know, really. Look at their IG I was unsure if the work they were doing is the work being requested my clients, so I didn't want to judge. Having been there and gotten an awful experience, I now know what you see is what you get. If you want to look mediocre this is your spot! If you want to look amazing and get compliments on your beautiful hair, stay away from this silver polished turd vessel.

The first time I walked into the salon, you would've thought I had been there for years. They were very intentional, have a great eye for what will look good on you personally, and they are so easy to talk to you. I go to Lorelei, and I've never had a better cut and color. She's incredibly sweet, knows exactly what she's doing, and so fun to talk to. I can't recommend this place enough.
