Classic bistro setting selling classic favorites: burgers, cheesesteaks, meatball subs. Spacious…read moreand stylish interior with a full bar, booth, and table seating. I'll commend them on the meatball sub. They avoided the critical mistake of putting too much bread into the equation and losing the flavor. This was a very meatball-forward experience with a beef and pork blended meatball, seasoned with Italian spices. Highly recommend! Service was unreal. Career first where I couldn't keep up with drink refills. They had a new lemonade on the table after a couple sips each time.

What a neat place. Came in for a business lunch and can't wait to get back. Had an opportunity to…read morechat with the owner and got the whole lowdown on the farm to table concept. They use this location to butcher the meat, and then sell it through the restaurant. To buy cuts of beef to go, you need to go to their Akron store (which I will go out of my way to find soon). Big display case where they have sides of beef hanging, coolest thing I've ever seen! Well almost....the coolest thing I've ever seen is the wall of bourbon behind the bar. I like bourbon, and I've NEVER seen a collection this vast. Good thing I live on the other side of town, or I would go broke coming into this place daily! Learned they make road trips to KY for taste tests. Most recently, they went to Buffalo Trace and sampled several different barrels of Blanton's Gold. Found one they liked and had the whole barrel bottled up for their exclusive sale. At $11/ounce, that's a great deal! They also have a nice retail selection of wines, priced at reasonable prices. There is a day each week when they sell them to the restaurant patrons at retail price which is a bargain considering most places mark them up 2-3x. For lunch I had a blackened chicken salad of some sort. The chicken was a nice amount and was simply delicious! Need to come back again when I'm not cutting calories for the beef!

Derek was responsive and very helpful. He spent time with me on the phone to discuss the event and made menu suggestions for what would work for the number of guests we expected to attend and he visited the site to see the space in advance of the event. On the day of the event, he arrived early to ensure that everything was set-up and ready ahead of our guests' arrival. He made two trips to our location, one for breakfast and one for lunch and he remained on-site during lunch to fill in items as needed. The quality of the food was excellent. We served a light breakfast and lunch. The breakfast pastries were baked that morning as were the cookies and cobbler bites and it was apparent in the quality. The sliders, salad and the assorted mini bites were well presented and delicious. I would not hesitate to hire them again for another event.

Its a women-owned business, too. Woot woot! Viva Bene has an inspired, well-organized wine selection and extremely cute accompanying accessories. From wine picnic baskets to cocktail napkins and unique corkscrews, one could assemble a truly gorgeous gift here. The next time I'm in need of a sophisticated gift for my entertaining and vino loving friends, I am immediately coming here. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The manager gave me great wine suggestions before I settled on a mid-priced Rosé from their cooler. Viva Bene also carries a section of speciality foods like noodles, sauces, soups and other gourmet condiments. I was in a bit of a rush so I didn't get to dive in thoroughly, but again, a stellar collection of food products. Viva Bene Gourmet is truly one of those rare local shoppes that makes me feel like I can be a 5-star chef, even if my reality is more setting off fire alarms. I'll absolutely come back to this charming place!

They don't normally deliver, but I was getting in too late to pick it up, and Genny at the shop offered to drop it off on her way to work. I just wish I were staying in Hudson long enough to actually visit the store, but maybe next time!
