I've visited plenty of places in beautiful downtown Hudson. Great little grocery store to shop at. I'm really picky about my energy drinks and assuming they had my brand I prefer to choose. Instead, Heinens had something new and it was a much better option. Made in Cleveland too! Overall, I enjoy that this store has no self check out lanes personally. Staff here look absolutely happy. Love the fresh food options. Well organized products. Parking lot is an honest Hassel depending on when you show up. Highly recommend checking this place out. 4.5 stars! read more

What a deli! Kinda pricey though..., This said, the store brand of canned goods is exceptionally affordable and locally sourced. This store appears to be associated with Mariani's and Fresh Market from my home town in Illinois -- many of the same goods and the same store layout. The prices reflect the quality of the offerings here but you can't go wrong with about anything that tweaks your appetite. This is acknowledging an outstanding manager at this location, his name is Robert. We are heading out of town for 3+ weeks. My challenge was trying to place an order for deli/fruit trays to be picked up 12/23. In-store ordering would not allow me to pay in advance in the event my travel plans were disrupted and I was unable to pick it up myself. The solution was to use online ordering, but that would not allow me to order that far in advance. We've ordered from Heinen's in the past, the orders were straightforward and did not require any intervention. Working with Robert (over several days and multiple phone calls) he facilitated a new account registration (I am not from the Hudson area), placing the actual orders to include a local contact, canceling the in-store orders I'd placed previously, and reviewing the final order to make sure everything was in place for a successful pickup. Robert was kind, courteous and patient working with both myself and the in-store contacts to find a resolution to my challenge. He provided follow up by calling me back after researching the best way to accomplish this. He was thorough and very pleasant to work with. My encounter with Robert made this a very positive experience and I wish to thank him from the bottom of my heart. read more

I love Heinens but this store is much different than the others. Do not come in an hour before closing because they are already putting everything away and you will be in their way in the aisles and they will let you know it. Also, 15 min before closing as I was heading to the cash they started turning all of the lights out! I don't have great vision in low light so this not only caught me off guard but it took me much longer to get to the front because I literally couldn't see clearly anymore. The best and freshest fish around! Yes, they are a bit expensive in regards to their produce but they are getting everything that is fresh and grown right! Evert time I pick up tomatoes I never see a rotten one on the bottom of the packet. The cheese selection blows me away. My only complaint is that the fish section has decreased in size but not to worry the fish is still good! I would call ahead of time and find out when the truck is arriving with fresh fish. Heinen's in Hudson, OH is a fantastic shopping experience. I'm on a plant-based diet but if you're looking for high quality beef, pork, chicken or fish you won't be disappointed. Personal service at every counter and a great selection at self-serve. The bakery goods are mouth watering and the breads are homemade fresh and tasty. Beer and wine? Plenty of excellent choices in a wide range of prices. The craft beer selection is off the chart magnificent and you won't be disappointed with the wide selection of wines. Fresh cheeses? WOW - get your nose and palate ready, once again the selection is so wide you'll have trouble deciding. Fruits and vegetables are my preference - they must have a selection of every apple grown. Organic and non-organic is available. They even offer some exotic fresh fruits you won't find elsewhere. No matter what time of year the supply of fresh, fresh and more fresh is available. Even their packaged "fresh" items like spring mix or kale are extraordinarily tasty when comparing them with similar items bought elsewhere. I could go on but you're better off visiting yourself to see the other great items that are boxed or frozen with a great gourmet selection throughout the store. read more

I'm consistently happy with the quality of foods in this small market. The employees are almost too friendly. You walk up to a counter and they're immediately asking if you'd like assistance. I'm one that takes it slow and likes to gather it all in. I want to look at the display a few times and browse the menu. They have a great wine selection for a store of this size, and their cheese selection is crazy! This Heinen's has some great prepared foods, great for the busy person, or those just looking for a quick side dish to their main dinner entree. I stopped into this lovely upscale grocery with my aunt to purchase provisions for dinner. The store was hopping on a Sunday evening, 1 hour before close. It smelled wonderful thanks to the variety of greenery out front for sale. The prepared foods looked great as did the cheese and produce selection. I fetched beautiful scallops for out dinner and the rest of the fishes looked fresh and tasty too. Definitely a great grocery if you're looking for more upscale items. Large enough to have most of what you need, but small enough to get in and out fast. read more

Downgrading 1 star for Bread selection. In as store that carries biodegradable sandwich and trash bags you would think that SOMEONE would provide REAL hot dog buns to go with the organic, no nitrate hot dogs????? There are still many great things about this store, but now that we have moved to Ohio and tried to shop all of the sections the bread selection was too painful to leave this at 5 stars. EVERY roll... without exception... had HFC or some version of MSG ("Modified Food Starch" is my favorite hiding phrase)... an employee even gave us several other bread bakeries to try when questioned. I had my first truly unpleasant experience at Heinens in Hudson. The prepared food counter lists size of the serving, and when I asked for three servings she very rudely told me I would have to accept what I was given, not what I ordered. That meant my order would be almost $10 more than what I wanted. I don't like to waste food or waste money. The young lady then threw the food on the counter and walked away, leaving me unsure what to do. In the end I had to settle for less than what I wanted, and we did not have enough for dinner. read more

So great! I love Heinen's and it is the only grocer I will go to. This store is one of the best. First, location, location, location. I love that it is located in the First and Main shopping area because you can stop at heinen's and wonder the streets. Also the store is really pleasing to the eye from the outside (and the inside). Second, SELECTION. I love the selection here and at all Heinen's'. Even though this is a smaller store they still had every thing I needed. Third, the customer service. it's outstanding. A man who I believe was the manager named A.J. was so friendly and helpful. I needed some parmigano regiano and they had too big of a contanier so he actually had someone split it for me into another conainer just because I asked. He really made my shopping expeirnce that much better. Finally, CLEANLINESS!!!!! It was so clean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is more of a Heinen's Jr but so worth the drive from Akron area. Prices are usually better and produce is far superior to some of the other big box chains. People are friendly, helpful. We are always greeted by them when we shop there. Heinen's brands are nationally known, too, but that's our little secret. read more

I have been a customer of Heinen's for many years and I always enjoy shopping at this store. Their meats, wine, beers, sushi, and pre-made sandwiches are fabulous. Today I went there to purchase a fruit tray for my daughters High School Cross Country after training function. It was up to me to find the "perfect" selection of fruit. Unfortunately when I arrived at the store I could not find any fruit trays. Almost immediately a very nice employee approached me and asked if she could provide assistance. I told her about my "mission" and she immediately said that would have a tray prepared. Within 10 minutes she presented me with a beautiful selection of fruit. Many thanks. Love love love, this heinens! Super clean! Good variety of organic foods. The staff is super friendly and polite. Their prepared foods are delicious. They have a great wine and cheese selection. They have a sandwich bar, salad bar, and sushi chef available during lunch and dinner hours. Their bakery goods are delicious! It's a little bit more expensive than the only other local grocery store but well worth it for the quality of food and the excellent service. The staff is super friendly,polite and helpful. The store is super clean. They have organic and grass fed meats and a nice selection of sea food. My only gripe is that they have stopped carrying some of the non toxic cleaners. This store is designed like a quaint little market you might see in a busy city or in Europe. If you don't know the Heinens footprint, you must begin to experience it. Hudson is a quaint town, filled with history. And this market matches the quaint feeling of the town. For a small store, they have amazing variety in every aisle, even the ice cream. The produce, organic and non-organic food is excellent. The bakery is superior. The salad bar is magnificent and well kept all day, not just in the morning. The Deli with fresh cheeses and meats really packs them in. Everyone waits in line for the Adams Reserve cheese! The food holds to Heinens superior standards. The Crown Cake, and the Chocolate Chip cookies come to mind from the bakery department, and the fruits and vegetables are all very fresh and top quality. But the crowds in the store will make this a "close" adventure. If you don't like crowds, do not venture to the store on Sunday. The only slight down side is that the parking lot has no "home" for their carts. You must find a way to visit this little market, It is a gem. It is truly special place and you will find something special there, it's guaranteed. read more

A nice place if you don't mind spending a little extra. The only good salad bar I've seen in Summit County, and it's always fresh and clean. The pies and desserts section is amazing. The apple pies are delicious. Lots of options here. Also their premade gourmet burgers are a pretty good deal, you can get two big boys for about $5. I find this Heinen's to be lacking, compared to its counterparts. It's much smaller than other Heinen's, and therefore the variety of goods is lacking. Like all other Heinen's, they have a great produce selection, delectable-looking baked goods, ready-made foods that make my mouth water...but on a much smaller scale. On the very rare occasion that I shop here, I usually need to supplement my trip with a vist elsewhere, so this Heinen's isn't really worth the trip to me. On the plus side, it is very clean, the staff are overly friendly and helpful, and they have a great looking salad bar. read more

Heinen's Village Market is a great gourmet grocery store in Hudson's First & Main Shopping District. The Village Market is a new concept for Heinen's; it's about half the size, but more selective and gourmet. Heinen's is already known as Cleveland's source for fine food, but this store goes above and beyond. The Village Market is not recommended for general groceries; go to Acme or Giant Eagle for those. But here, you can get all sorts of prepared food, gourmet food, organic food, produce, wine, and more. There is a little cafe that serves lunch. I have yet to try it. You can come here and pick up a gourmet dinner to take home...all you have to do is microwave it. The food is excellent. The last time I got dinner here, which I do about once every two weeks, I had mojito pork and calamari. The pork was excellent. It made me feel like I was in the Caribbean, even on a gray, rainy night. It had a very tropical taste and I loved every bite. The calamari was of restaurant quality, fantastic. Overall, if you want to grab an easy gourmet dinner or grab some upscale groceries, stop in to the Heinen's Village Market. It's a foodie paradise. read more

Purchasing food at Heinen's is one of most exciting things to food lovers like me. Located in downtown Hudson, Heinen's is a great grocery store which possesses all kinds of food from all over the world. Nonetheless, Heinen's has a deli section which sells prepared food such as salmon cake, mash potatoes, Jumbo shrimp and flank steak. Among which Teriyaki beef stir fry and Garlic broccolini are my favorite. In addition, Heinen's also has a sushi bar which sells fresh sushi everyday. I always purchase the prepared food and a box of sushi for myself as a special treat during weekends. And they taste awesome! I would say that the environment of Heinen's is great because the store is big enough to have most of the things you need, but also small enough that you don't need to spend a lot of time in there. The staff are super friendly as well. Overall, Heinen's is one of the must-go-places for my weekend routine, and I highly recommend this nice small grocery store! read more
