Sold us a Jeep, knowing we were driving back to Seattle the next day, they did not disclose a radiator leak that they had "bubble gum and hope " concealed, as well as an oil pump issue that they had also "fixed with thicker oil". Our fault for not taking the rig to a mechanic before purchase. They also lied that the rig had been a "tow" vehicle, and that is why the miles are so high. The jeep shows no signs that it had ever been towed. However, it does show that the engine is not the original engine. Regardless, we take responsibility for our downfall in not doing appropriate inspections. But they should not have overtly lied to us. In prompted lies! They offered explanations for things that we did not ask. Those were all lies!! The sales guy was very personable, the gaggle of ladies upstairs all with RBF's were unwelcoming, and annoying. Be happy ladies, the sales guy just paid your salary. Be happy that the company you work for, just screwed another person. Laugh more, maybe you could have gotten another couple hundred out of me. read more

I purchased a 2008 Chevy Silverado LT. Not even past 30 days and the truck had problem. The truck had a P3001 Engine Trouble Code. I took the truck back 3 times and each time they told me was that it was fixed. However, that was not correct, so I kept taking it back letting them know of the issue. Well after the 3 time and the problem occurred again I was told they couldn't fix it because the truck was out of warranty. The next issue was CV boot was bad so that had to be replace. The axle u-bolt had to be replaced. Plus the truck back that holds the bed lost a clamp (cant remember the name). Honestly, I would rather buy from another company before I purchase from them again. Ill never do business with this company again especially because I had to dump another 2-3k in labor to help repair the parts. read more

At first meet the owner seemed very accommodating and friendly. The vehicle has had issues while my daughter has owned it. Adding an additional over $2k to the price. We found out most of his vehicles are bought at auction in Canada. The dash needed to be switched out for a Canadian dash. Once the vehicle was paid off, he seemed to rarely be available, hence screening calls. His staff would say he was out when my daughter called, but answered when I did. Until the call today he has been receptive to the complaints and willing to assist, over the phone. I spoke with him today and he was very condescending and belligerent. I wondered why he sent the old title to my daughter after she finished paying off the vehicle. He proceeded to call me a, "Fucking Idiot", and he wanted to reach through the phone and rip my fucking throat out. I explained to him that I have never seen a dealership send the old title to the customer. Normally they would send the title transfer to the State and the State sent the updated title to the customer. His business manager told me that my daughter had the responsibility to get the title transferred at the DMV. Basically, the dealership didn't want to take the time to send the title and $27 to the State for the transfer. Instead of being professional and explaining any type of policy, the owner became verbally abusive and threatening. I stated that I wanted an apology for his unprofessional responses and he replied that he didn't care what I wanted. I didn't appreciate being threatened over the phone. There is no reason for any business owner to treat customers that are calling on behalf of their daughters in that manner. He refused to talk with me any further. He then again called me an idiot. I explained I would be writing this on Yelp and all other social media. He replied that he didn't fucking care about Any review anyone gives him on social media. I would recommend anyone going to any other dealership where they respect their customer. The owner only cares about the bottom line and gives a bad name to all used car dealers. He is shady in all aspects of his business dealings. The most disturbing thing is that he had no clue who I was. He knew he was not getting any money from me and was extremely hostile. read more

If I could give a lower review I would. Bought a 2013 ram 2500 with 86,868 miles ive had issues since day one. Lost bolt in stabilizing bar with death wobble, bad transmission solenoids, had to pay les Schwab 2300 to rebuild my front end, never had working ac but asked multiple times to get it fixed as advertised, went through a battery no big deal but annoying, had a knock in the engine but was brushed off as the "hemi knock" which fooled me until I threw a rod at 103,000 miles even staying on top of maintenance perfectly. The oil gauge read normal, and the temp gauge did too when my truck decided to end itself. It was sold as is but was given a 90 day warranty which voids the as is contract and also should have covered much more work than I was given. Ive discovered a deal called the implied warranty which is when the consumer is supposed to be sold a vehicle that is "safe, comfortable and reliable" mine is none of these so I will be going back to dump my $28,000 paperweight on their lot followed by reports to the better business bureau, and the attorney general if nothing is taken care of. I believe there are enough people sold poor vehicles there is a chance at a class action lawsuit to take down this shady as a tree car lot read more

I purchased my 2007 Chevy Silverado in March of 2012. In the 5 years I have had the truck, I have driven it maybe 4 years. It has been completely rebuilt from top to bottom. New engine, new tranny, the list goes on. Mike has never charge me labor, but the problem lies with the quality of work. They basically duct tape it back together, then it ends up back in the shop every 3 months. I have been stranded and towed 10 times now, and my children have been with me. One time he had my truck to put new brakes in and he had it for 6 weeks. Two weeks ago I was drving down the road and my engine exploded. I was terrified. I didn't know whether to pull over and bail or stop in the middle of the road, or just keep going. I made it to my daughters school, and I was in tears. I don't cry often, but I was just done, I couldn't take anymore. I almost wrecked when it exploded, and my 18 year old daughter had been driving it just 30 minutes prior. If it had been her she would have wrecked. I called the Brown Boys and Mike wouldn't come to the phone. I emptied my truck of my belongings out into my daughters car, left the doors unlocked and left the keys on the dash and prayed someone would just steal it. I called my dad in AZ. He has footed the bill for all the repairs which have easily exceeded what I paid for the vehicle. He said "no more Brown Boys" and set me up with his brothers mechanic. This mechanic had my truck fixed in ONE DAY!! I was in shock, beyond shock. Then to hear what he found wasn't even alarming at this point, it was almost funny. The loud "BANG" was my exhaust falling off as the Brown Boys didn't bolt it on, the bolts were sitting in the battery tray. All my spark plugs were hanging out, and numerous other things not bolted down. I came to work and my friend was telling me that the Brown Boys buy trucks from an auction in Utah. These trucks are bought brand new from salt mine companies in Utah, stripped of the bodies, and used (abused) in the salt mines until they have 80,000 miles on them. They are reassembled and sold at auction and they look great, like my truck. My truck looked "barely used" when I bought it, but I couldn't figure out why there was soo much sand in the carpets that I couldn't get out. So now this all starts to make sense. As I am getting sicker and sicker to my stomach, I purchase a Carfax report. It was purchased for auction from Fort Duchesne, UT in 2008 with 83,235 miles. What's disturbing is it's legally, they did nothing wrong. Unfortunately a lot of people are suffering from this greedy practice. Now I know CHECK CARFAX and no trucks from Utah!! read more

Hello general public. I would like to share the experience I had when I called brown boys in Yakima wa. I called and a secretary answered wouldn't let me talk to a manager or owner and stated that the employees make the decisions at the car lot. When I tried to ask her a question she rudely cut me off and shortly after hung up on me. Little does she know that I was looking for a specific truck that runs about 50.000 dollars and I wanted to buy it cash. I was wanting to talk to someone about wether or not they could find me one and how fast. Long story short I wouldn't do business there ever nor would I send anyone wether u knew them or not to that lot.! Customer service shows how u run ur business from front to back and they are lacking big time in that department. Which leads me to believe that they don't care about anything else. Vehicle inspections, emissions, safety rating, payroll, paying taxes. To all out there who may soon be looking for a vehicle stay away from this place. I wouldn't trust anyone on that lot nor would I give them a dime of my money. Hope this is helpful to the people who don't know what's really going on in the world. I had a great experience buying from Brown Boys. I was searching for a very specific year/make/model of a work truck that they happened to have. I live in Seattle and didn't want to go all the way to Yakima before having it inspected by a mechanic. So they were fine with taking it to a Yakima mechanic (of my choice and expense). I discussed the results of the inspection with the mechanic directly, and the 3 issues I had concerns about Mike Brown offered to fix them at no charge to me before I even came out to look at the truck. The purchase turned out to be a good one, and now two years later I've had only a great experience using this truck (and I use it hard!!). The only problem with the whole deal is that I realized on my drive home that the truck didn't have a hitch receiver! It had been removed at some point. I brought this up with Mike, and he had one mailed to me at his expense. It seems Brown Boys really makes an effort to create and build trust and respect between them and their customers (which is something that's badly needed in the used car industry). Yes, you will find wonderful customer service on the first appearance when making the sale. They make the deal seem incredible by lowering the price by an obscene amount and then tell you that the first two months they give you free repairs. I got a remarkle looking 2006 mazda 3 GT from them for well below the Kelly blue book price for the amount of miles on the car. It took them two months to even put my paperwork through. And ended up financing the car through themselves rather than a bank, without informing me of the changes until inquired due to the bank not even having me on file. In addition as soon as I drove off the lot the car gave me nothing but troubles. I had the car just over the two month range they set when the car completely began to fall apart. I had to pay over 2 grand in repairs after only owning the car for a little over two months. After complaining several times and only receiving rude and shady customer service, I decided just to pay off the vehicle so that I did not have to deal with the dealership any longer. They tried to up charge me $300 for 'servicing fees' although I didn't have any. And received just the verification of title of which I had to take to the lisencing department myself and pay a fee to have the title switched to me.
