I was really worried because by the time he was 2 because he still was not talking. The owner Ms. Adrian (who I honestly think may be an angel disguised in human form because she is so kind and so caring) told me to give him a few more months as did my pediatrician. Well not only did my son start talking at 2 years 3 months, he started to academically excel. He learned his colors, shapes, mathematical concepts almost overnight and every day he seems to learn something new. His father recently got a teaching job at a local private school so we decided (given his discount) to apply for a pre-k four spot. When we met with school staff and we were told all the things he would be learning in Pre-K 4 this year, we realized that almost everything on the list he already learned at Little Darlings. When my son did his trial run of Pre-K 4 at the new school, he was accepted into the school by close of business that day. They were impressed by his behavior and intellect and we attribute much of that to Little Darlings. In addition to making sure that your children learn, the staff at Little Darlings are truly caring. The owner is one of the kindest people I have ever met and her empathy/concern trickles down to the rest of the staff. I still remember a rough morning that I did not want to drop my son off (he barely had sleep the night before but I was starting a new job and couldn't call out so I had to begrudgingly send him to school knowing that he was exhausted), the assistant director noticed the shift from my normal demeanor. She asked me if I was ok and I honestly told her "no" and she just gave me a big hug, and that hug and her care/concern helped me to get myself together and go through my day. The staff at Little Darlings has truly poured into my child and into me. I am very sad that my son is leaving but he takes with him a joy for learning that the staff at Little Darlings helped to instill. I can truly say that having him at Little Darlings was one of the best parenting decisions that we have made. I assure you that your children will be safe, loved, they will learn, and they will thrive if you enroll them into Little Darlings!

They are mostly play-focused which is what I was looking for in a preschool. My kids were totally prepared for Kindergarten, as they did lots of fun projects and simple writing tasks. As a co-op, you do have to assist in the classroom but it was only a couple times per month so it was very manageable (even with a baby). I would definitely recommend C & C to anyone looking for a part-time preschool option.

This is one of the best child care centers my daughter has attended. She was a student here for 2…read moremonths back in 2013 while we were in Baltimore for training with my job. Two and a half years later, we are back for more training, and the center is just as amazing as I remember, in fact, with the introduction of the pecious status program, it's even better than before. I receive several updates a day on the app, to include pictures and personalized messages. I can also send messages to my daughter and her teachers. It's amazing to feel so connected to her throughout the day. Ms. Margaret and Ms. Laurissa are a dynamic teaching duo. I remember Ms. Margaret being amazing from our first experience. I don't remember all of the names, but a lot of the faces are familiar, which means low staff turn over = a great sign for a daycare center. They are also a NAEYC accredited center with a fantastic curriculum. The center director, Bethanie Faulkner, and her staff made re-enrollment and transitioning smooth and simple. Lakesha, the assistant director helped me with several of the finer details and was so warm and accomodating. She went the extra mile for us, which really reduced my stress levels! I wish I could them back home with us. If you are considering this center for your child, I highly recommend them. This is the most consistent center I have ever seen. We will miss Childtime and all of the wonderful people here.

I thought it is very nice to have an app to get an update about my son (when he eats, diaper changes, a picture etc. ). But the app is not an advantage but a disadvantage for the kids since the teachers spend too much time. They make the kid smile and they took a picture and that is all. You never know how the kid is doing afterwards. Whenever I drop him the teachers were not saying good morning, they are usually talking with each other about their nights etc. They never picked my son up from me to calm him down, they never smile or show any attention to him. I checked on him starting from the first day and I found him crying on a bouncer facing to the door. I was horrified and because I couldn't find any other daycare I couldn't drop him off but checked him everyday regularly. Because I was going there everyday I noticed that they are very cold to the kids (except 1 teacher who could not do much by herself). The kids can not sleep because of the artificial lights, they don't dim the lights. No natural light for the kids all day. The buggy ride is happened mostly inside the building. They called me about his fever, I went there with a panic and find out he doesn't have a fever and went to his doctor for nothing, the doctor also told me there is no fever. It happened couple of times and I did use my own thermometer to compare with theirs. If the teacher could be relieved or if there isn't enough teacher they do that. I had more unbelievable experiences with this daycare. I don't recommend this daycare since the child needs attention and love more than anything.

I can not wait to start and have volunteered for two times a week to help a third grader (or perhaps more than one) to discover the joy of reading. I love the program, and how they are truly vested in helping make a positive impact on the next generation of kids. I feel blessed to be able to help in what ever way I can. I was always intrigued by…read morethe montessorie approach to learning, but was hesitant because it lacked the real world aspect. However, BELA combines both the montessorie approach with the traditional approach (best of both worlds). They have some of the most dedicated teachers (who are all certified). And in addition to that, the school sits in a 54 acre campus, so the kids get to hike and do all of the outdoorsy stuff. This pre-school is aimed at those who want the best for their kids without breaking the pocket. The prices are very competitive and the kids get the ultimate experience. Mariel, the Owner was unsympathetic about my breaking the contract ( as it is business), however brought up unprofessional issues ( and even unmerited accusations) that did not have to do with my cancellation. I was disappointed in her response and lack of professionalism and recommend if you were to break a contract, please be clear on the consequences and emotional beratement.

We were immediately impressed by the director, Ms. Ken, and the thoughtful way she had designed an environment that is cozy and homelike, yet structured and educational. The kids do daily circle time, letters and numbers and colors, and singing, with frequent artwork. We are also impressed by all of the activities. Kids are exposed to all kinds of things--yoga, zumba, Spanish, Swahili, American Sign Language, Black History (especially, but not only during February). They've had visits from the library, a man sharing reptiles and amphibians, and more. They do a weekly "splash day" in the sprinkler in the summer. The teachers are kind and caring and have worked with us on our children's socioemotional needs. I have also really enjoyed the opportunity to be involved at school by contributing to holiday parties, chaperoning field trips, and helping with the school garden! Kids Edu Caring Place has been what its name promises: educational and full of real care.
