After, they told me that my child couldn't come back, the manager of the facility had the audacity to put up a fight with me about my refund!!! This place is horrible. My child has never had biting issues before, he gets to this place and he discovers biting (WE) both him and I are punished for this "normal" behavior, I finally find him a new facility and BOOM NO MORE BITING!!!! They are understaffed, have VERY poor communication skills, and penalize the family for normal toddler behavior. Please NEVER send your child(ren) to this place. I can go to work knowing he's safe, well cared for, and learning so much throughout the day. The building is secured, so each parent has a pass code to enter the building, which makes me feel a lot better that people can't make it past the front door unless they have a child attending. Each morning and evening we're greeted with a smile at the front office - Ms. Amanda even makes sure to make the parent's experience friendly and personable at pick-up and drop-off. Ms.Kim and Ms. Cassidy of the pre- k classes go above and beyond to teach the children and provide quality activities to enrich each day. Art work, science projects, show and tell, crazy hair day, pajama day and pizza Tuesdays make daycare a little more fun for us all. They even send photos of what our kids are doing throughout the day. The quality of Celebree is top notch, and the team at Waverly woods makes it that much better.

I would not recommend the school for so many reasons, but I will provide three of the most concerning. 1- teachers do not console children when they are upset- only threats. One day I saw a child hit my daughter and she began to cry. No comfort was provided as she cried. The teacher was distracted and missed the incident. 3- on three occasions my daughter came home with a poop diaper. When I asked the director about it each time the explanation provided was that "she must have just went." At home I started to notice my daughter showing signs of trauma. She would cry at drop-off not wanting to go into the school. At home with her toy and dolls she started repeating what was said to her by her teacher, " putting herself in timeout and saying "stop crying or I'll put you in the baby room." We had a few minor issues but discussed them with the staff and seemed to be better. Our biggest problems started when our son was moved into the 2 year old room. The teachers in that room were nice but very young and the only reason i mention age is they didn't seem to have a lot of experience. Our son spoke at home but we only learned months after our son had been in the class that he didn't say anything while there not even "Hi" or other little words.He started acting out and that was when it finally came out that he did not speak. I've never been a child educator or worked in daycare but having been around many younger children i know by two most kids say at least a few words. The teachers said they were trying to work with our son after they learned he did speak at home but we made the decision to eventually leave the daycare. The staff was friendly and said things we wanted to hear but many were very young and looked to me for ideas on things to try. We were told their class followed a schedule everyday but whenever I was in the building it seemed to be just playing. Having boys i've found that structure has definitely been more beneficial to them for learning than play based. We put our son in another daycare that seemed to be more structured and once our son became more comfortable he was speaking in class and the new class was definitely a better fit. This school does some special programming for the kids which is nice but definitely could use a bit more variety with different teachers and their experience level.
