On, March 18, 2026, I experienced something that really shook me. My left eye suddenly had what I…read morecan only describe as flashes of lightning in my vision, along with more floaters than usual and moments where things just didn't look quite right. At my age, you don't ignore something like that. After doing a bit of reading, I saw that it could be something serious, possibly even a retinal detachment. The thought of it alone made me sick. So I called Vision Source and explained what was happening. I was hoping, at best, to be seen the next day. Dr. Diana Gonzalez wasn't in the office at the time, but the front desk specialist reached out to her, and Dr. Gonzalez came back in just to see me. Once she returned to the office, she gave me a full, careful exam and made sure I understood what was going on. And thankfully, it wasn't the worst-case scenario. That was a relief... it is hard to put into words, but it felt like a weight lifted off my chest. What really stayed with me though was not just the outcome, it was her effort. The fact that she came back during after hours, just to make sure I was okay. That kind of care is above and beyond. Eyeglass selection was very adequate, but I was even more pleased when I found a pair elsewhere and the office was able to order them in for me. The order came in a couple days and my glasses were ready ahead of schedule. The office staff is welcoming and was very patient as I visited daily for several days until I got them adjusted comfortably.
