I love it here. The staff is so friendly, they always say hi. And the prices? All I can say is "oh my goodness "! Unbelievable! The cereal I love is $6.00 at any other store, but here it is $2.25. Some things will be past the date by a little. But you just look at the date. Most everything I get isn't out of date for 6months to a year. They have everything! Frozen meats, pizza and more. They have fresh produce, they have eggs, milk and bread. I buy all my husband's snacks for the week. I just bought cranberry juice there 6 pack bottles of 100% juice. $2.50 a six pack. No way you're going to come close to that price anywhere else. They have a baking isle with good brand name products such as nestle chocolate chips and sugar flour and spices. They have coffee, k-cups and tea. They have a vegetable and condiments isle with soups and spaghetti sauce. I got a glass jar of pasta sauce and very good brand name for $2.00 and change. It's almost $6.00 at other stores. And they also have fresh bakery good when you first come through the door with cookies and fresh baked pies as well as bread and rolls. Homemade jars of pickles and jams as well as honey and maple syrup. I can't say enough about this store. I can fill a cart for around $150.00 with everything from breads, cereals, frozen foods, snacks, canned vegetables, coffees, baking goods and more. I went to my local grocery store the other day and 2 bags cost me over $70.00. Now I'm not saying anything bad about other stores, but just want to express the difference in the savings by shopping here. The store is clean, bathroom facilities are clean which is nice as I have a 40 minute drive to get there from home but it is worth it. I actually get excited every week to go because i know I'm saving a ton of money but it's also exciting because every week I go they will always have different items they didn't have the week before. Like this past week they had the cranberry juice and my cinnamon Cheerios with the granola. They had my husband's favorite granola bars with yogurt and they even have his protein and cliff bars most weeks. They also have toilet paper, laundry detergent, health and beauty items and trash bags, paper plates, diapers, dog food, cat food, dog treats and more. You can get about anything you need here. I love this place. The people who work here are the nicest people ever. You walk in and there is just a lot of space. It feels easy to get around with your cart even when there is a lot of people. The selection of food changes week to week. They utilize foods that maybe were not being used in other places. I forget how they explain it on the sign above the register. But it's food that otherwise I think would go to waste. The food is really good. I find all sorts of unique things and even some locally baked breads and treats. There's always fresh produce too. They grow some of it. They also have Christian greeting cards, which I love. They do take cash or card, so it's really convenient. And again, they are always super kind. For years now, I have enjoyed and looked forward to shopping at the Brownfield Country Market. Items I have never seen before and more costly items available in supermarkets are available at seriously reasonable prices. Delicious cheese from France, fresh eggs, local and their own fresh produce, complementary coffee, and much more all make the shopping experience a delightful adventure. Customer service is always courteous and heartwarming. My only problem is purchasing too much!! read more

Was recently staying at a nearby cabin for a bachelor party with some friends and we needed a place for groceries. Our first night we arrived right after they closed for the night. We returned the next day though because we could tell it would be worth coming to. The prices for some of the items were hard to believe honestly for the deal you could get. A wide selection of stuff, the only thing we had hoped for was fresh meat options so if that's what you want go elsewhere. Otherwise if you find yourself around the area stop in and you'll find some good bargains! read more

We spent a week on vacation in the area and were looking for a local market. This placed served our needs well, though it is lacking certain items. The place had fantastic fresh local produce, including corn, blueberries, cantaloupes, and lettuce. We stocked up on maple syrup. They had gluten free items. There was coffee, but no coffee filters, and there was frozen bison (good for burgers), but no local cheese or fresh meat. (Another Amish market nearby had a wide selection of local cheeses.) The prices made you feel like you were stepping into the past, and everybody working there was nice. read more

Everything was a good experience except the store was packed which is actually a good thing because you know it's a good store... But the ladies that were running the cash register were moving the line right along.. I got about $400 worth groceries here for only $200... And half of them was organic stuff.,. This was our first time here so we didn't know how everything went because there's actually a science to it believe it or not ,, I'm talking about in line at the register LOL... The young lady was so good with us I I went out to my car and gave her a pink rose (one of the six roses my husband had given me on the trip)... Yes trip, because it took us an hour and a half to get there... And the next time we need groceries we will definitely go back even if it is an hour and a half away... An amazing find when a much needed bathroom break resulted in a gem that I will travel to stock up on great deals. The Brownfield Country market doesn't look like anything atypical from the road, but it is legitimately the best deal grocery store I've found anywhere in Maine. From the organic frozen meals for a dollar, to the sensodyne toothpaste (normally 7$ a tube) for 1.50. This place was deals deals deals central. Not sure if it has to do with their strong religious affiliation, which is ever present at the check out counter, or the out of the way nature of this place, but to be able to buy a case of fancy oui yogurts for 6 bucks (that's right, A CASE of them), means something magical is happening up in Brownfield. I shall return soon enough for my 1.00 box of puffin cereal. Maybe this time I'll even buy some of their produce or locally made bread. read more

What a wonderful country market. Fresh veggies and very affordable prices. Lots of unique items and most of not all of products are way cheaper than any supermarket I have ever shopped at. Run by a very meticulously clean Amish family! I highly recommend !! read more

We found this market about a year and a half ago thanks to our minister neighbor. We could barely afford to shop at mainstream stores because even with a degree and 25 years experience some salaries in NH are insulting and abysmal in the extreme. Now, with a job loss, we could not pay bills AND get food. Without Brownfield market (and what we were able to stockpile over months) we would be in worse shape than we are. I hope they stay the same so we can continue to buy good healthy food. (By the way, their produce is great----MUCH better than Hannaford!) read more

Nice fresh local vegetables, good prices on canned goods etc. Items change frequently so it's always a fun experience to see what's new.

Finally I got to go about a month ago. Even my husband Loved the prices, and that's Big! Was hoping to go today or tomorrow for some last minute Christmas gifts, But they are closed Sunday and Monday for the winter! UGH Can't wait to go back! read more

They buy overstock and sell it at great prices. You never know what they will have. I live nearby, and I estimate this store saves me $1000 per year on my groceries. They also grow vegetables and sell them fresh in season, but since I have a large garden, I seldom buy them. Nice people, and they are doing a great service for the community. Fortunately for us, they seem to be prospering. A couple of years ago they doubled the size of the building. read more
